At the foot of the mountain, inside a wooden cabin.
"Can you heal him?"
Uchiha Jin looked anxiously at the old man taking Shisui Uchiha's pulse.
"His wound is infected. You'll need to go into town and hire a professional Medical Ninja to treat him."
The old man stroked his beard and dressed the wound with medicinal herbs.
"All I can do is keep his wound from getting worse for now..."
Uchiha Jin let out a sigh of relief and was just about to leave for town to find a Medical Ninja.
Instead, he stumbled and nearly fell to the floor.
It had taken him an entire day to get out of the primeval forest.
He had kept moving at high speed the whole time, without even drinking a mouthful of water.
Now he was in terrible shape, and the scene before his eyes seemed to spin.
It was a sign he was about to faint.
This is bad.
I overestimated my physical condition a little.
The old man hurriedly helped him onto the bed. Seeing him covered in blood, his chakra depleted, he frowned.
"You're in even worse shape than your companion..."
As he spoke, he tore open Uchiha Jin's clothes. An enormous wound stretched across his back from his shoulder to his waist, the flesh curling outward and the edges already turning white.
Seawater had soaked the wound, leaving a ring of grayish-white, decaying skin around its edges.
Blood still slowly seeped out, mixed with grains of sand and scraps of cloth.
The old man's pupils abruptly contracted at the sight, and his brows instantly knitted together.
Before tearing open the clothes, he had guessed that the boy's injuries would be serious.
But he had never expected them to be this severe.
"This will hurt. Bear with it."
