"He committed a crime."

The moment those words rang out, the interrogation room fell silent.

The Uchiha clan members, Sarutobi clan members, and Anbu watching from the doorway were all somewhat bewildered.

Uchiha Fugaku's face turned livid. He was not good at arguing with others.

As far as he was concerned, nothing in this world was accurate one hundred percent of the time.

He was merely saying this to give Jin a way to back down.

The Sarutobi Elder's expression grew conflicted at this. How could he speak up for the Uchiha Clan?

Even if his son really had committed a crime, surely that did not justify torture.

Looking at Sarutobi Shōtarō's wretched state, he felt pain as though a knife were twisting in his heart.
