Xuandou went on to emphasize:
"What the clients value is the Uchiha's reputation, not Konoha's numbers!"
"We provide the credibility, you provide the manpower. A seventy-thirty split is already very fair."
Everyone was speechless.
They knew Xuandou was telling the truth.
Those clients were willing to entrust missions to Uchiha-led teams because of the Uchiha name.
If it were Konoha's own teams instead, the clients would not place any orders at all.
Tsunade fell silent for a moment, then gritted her teeth.
"Fifty-fifty. That's the lowest I can accept!"
Xuandou shook his head.
"Thirty-seventy is my bottom line, too."
"Fifty-fifty!"
Tsunade slapped the table and leaned forward, her chest trembling slightly.
"Xuandou, Konoha really is struggling right now. Just consider it helping me out."
Xuandou looked into her eyes.
He was silent for a moment before finally sighing.
"How about this? We both compromise."
"Sixty-forty!"
Tsunade hesitated for a moment, then finally gritted her teeth.
"Deal!"
The other shinobi clan heads nodded as well, delight showing on their faces.
They knew that once this agreement was reached, Konoha's economic difficulties would ease considerably.
Those idle ninja would finally have work to do, and the village's revenue could recover as well.
Before the meeting adjourned, Xuandou suddenly spoke.
"Lady Tsunade, I have one more special condition that I need to discuss with you alone."
Everyone turned to Tsunade at his words.
The shinobi clan heads' eyes were full of anticipation and pleading, as though saying:
Lady Tsunade, you must agree to his condition! You can't let this partnership fall through!
The corner of Tsunade's mouth twitched slightly, but she still nodded.
"Fine. Let's talk in my office."
Everyone dispersed.
Only Tsunade and Xuandou remained in the meeting room.
Tsunade stood up and led Xuandou down the corridor to the Hokage's Office.
