• A mustached official and other nobles reported that samurai had rebelled, surrounded the Land of Fire, and killed the Land Survey Bugyo, but the Daimyō celebrated their deaths.
• Gato warned that Uchiha Xuantou might be attacking, and the assembled officials panicked at the possibility.
• The Daimyō rebuked his frightened subjects and declared that Kazuma was the only person he trusted not to fear the Uchiha.

Gato was appointed an Elder of the Land of Fire as Chiriku and the Lightning Release Four-Man Squad confronted the Daimyō over Kazuma’s blockade of the capital. Chiriku exposed that Kazuma’s supposed plan against Xuanyin did not explain whom he had detained, and Uchiha Xuantou entered the hall as the Daimyō realized he had been deceived.

• The Daimyō appointed Gato an Elder, prompting the pencil-mustached subordinate to resent their rapid rise.
• Chiriku and the Lightning Release Four-Man Squad entered and demanded to know whether Kazuma had betrayed the Land of Fire by surrounding the capital.
• At the Daimyō’s order, Iwayama Kōmon claimed Kazuma was loyal and said the blockade aimed to uncover agents and prepare an attack on Xuanyin.

As Kazuma confronted his former lord over his failures, Nanwu and the remaining defenders launched an S-rank Lightning Release attack at Xuandou’s group.
