Vanessa, who had been eating at the table, suddenly stood up, turned, and walked out of the house.
The others around her paused at her abrupt movement, then went back to eating as though they were used to it.
Only Flora looked bewildered. "Why, why did she leave? Is she coming back to eat? Does my cooking taste bad?"
"Vanessa has always been like this. Every now and then, she goes off and does something inexplicable. Have you forgotten how she suddenly wanted to talk to a corpse before?" "Don't talk about corpses while we're eating!" Clara muttered in displeasure.
"That was my corpse." Elsa glanced at her from beside her.
"Oh, sorry."
"Ahem, anyway, Vanessa has always been like this. She even climbed into my dorm room in the middle of the night before. I put up so many locks, and they still couldn't stop her!" Recalling her Cult Leader's glorious exploits, Dorothea couldn't help letting out a sigh.
Flora listened, dumbfounded. "That's way too bizarre, isn't it?"
"That's nothing." Seeing Flora's shocked expression, Dorothea felt an inexplicable surge of superiority, and a smile spread across her face. "I've seen stranger things. You should have seen her sacrifices back then. She nearly sacrificed everything in the house!"
"But her sacrifices seem perfectly normal to me now."
Since the Canteen had officially begun operating, believers had gradually started joining and becoming Supernatural people through rituals.
Flora had initially been shocked that Vanessa could help people advance to the First Rank, and had gone to watch many sacrifices herself.
But those sacrifices... how should she put it? They were rather unremarkable.
The Great Being worshipped by the Canteen actually didn't require believers to sacrifice themselves, accepting only supernatural materials instead.
With any other sect, Flora might have considered this somewhat weak.
