"She took some people to deal with the Believers who lost control."
Vanessa opened her mouth, momentarily unsure how to answer.
She had stayed at the Grand Library for a little over a week before Victoria let her return.
According to Victoria, her condition had largely stabilized. As long as she stayed out of the Dream World, her Spiritification would not progress.
And since the Dream World happened to be inaccessible now, there was no need to worry too much about her condition.
Yet when Vanessa returned to the Hearthfire District, she was astonished to discover how much it had changed.
The previously scattered streets and residential areas had been rezoned. On her way back to the Mansion, she actually had her identification checked several times.
Previously, the Night Watch Bureau had conducted the checks. Now, people from the Factory District had taken over.
Vanessa had no identification at all, but fortunately, she knew plenty of people in the Hearthfire District and got in on the strength of her familiar face.
Once Elliot learned that the Night Watch Bureau and the Royal Family had pulled back their influence across the board, he became less constrained in pursuing development.
Construction was underway throughout the Industrial District, and the Communion's Believers patrolled alongside the Factory Guard.
All that aside, what shocked Vanessa most was what was happening with Elsa.
"The Cult Leader plans to form a squad of supernatural people from among the Believers to handle combat, specifically dealing with Believers who lose control-in fact, she's already led the team out several times."
"Elsa? Combat?"
Vanessa was dumbfounded.
Since when could Elsa fight?
"For now, it's mainly her, Maeve, Simon, and Flora. In the future, we plan to train more people from among the Believers, selecting promising candidates suited to combat."
