Dorothea lifted the heavy manhole cover with some difficulty.
Come to think of it, different Paths also provided different physical improvements after ascension.
[Sharpness] focused on improving strength and constitution, [Restoration] focused on improving recovery, and even Vanessa's [Spirit Vision] improved eyesight and mental resistance. As for [Rationality]...
The [Rationality] Path seemed to offer the least physical improvement. It leaned more toward the use of spirituality.
As a result, Dorothea, who was already somewhat frail, was even weaker compared to others of the same rank.
That said, her talent was the strongest in terms of mechanics. Even now, there was no substitute for her ability to achieve teleportation through mirror surfaces.
Even Maeve's ability to become tastier had competition from Elsa...
That was why Elliot cared the most about how Dorothea's points were allocated. He eagerly opened her talent interface, selected [Rationality] twice, and brought Dorothea to the fifth rank as well.

Three brand-new talents appeared before Elliot:
[Radiance Inscription]: Guide radiance to carve invisible marks onto enemies. Any form of attack can detonate the marks. There is no limit to how many marks can be stacked. [Discernment]: Consume spirituality to determine whether someone is lying. [Side of Truth]: When performing calculations, intuition allows you to skip the intermediate calculations and arrive at the final answer.
The three talents left Elliot momentarily stunned.
"Why... do these all feel like support abilities?"
[Radiance Inscription] did deal damage, but its description made it clear that the inscriptions needed to be stacked one layer at a time.
And since it explicitly said "invisible marks," those inscriptions ought to be extremely difficult to detect.
Combined with the unlimited stacking, this gave Elliot an idea for a unique playstyle: stealthily stacking inscriptions.
As long as he remained undetected, he
