"The Mad Queen? What Mad Queen?!" Vanessa looked bewildered.
"It's-damn it, I can't explain in a sentence or two. In short, when Victoria goes mad, she becomes the Mad Queen. Victoria is only High Rank, but this one is an Immortal! We can't beat her!"
"What?! An Immortal?!"
Vanessa was truly shocked this time. Her mind was in turmoil. Victoria became an Immortal whenever she went mad-wait, then if she had gone mad when the nobles assassinated Sidney-
"What's going on?! Is that Victoria?" A startled cry suddenly came from the distance. Vanessa turned to see Elsa and Flora rushing over.
Victoria casually flicked a strand of spider silk toward them. Flora frowned, stepped forward to shield Elsa behind her, and crossed her hands in front of herself, ready to take the blow head-on!
Although she was Middle Rank, she was at the strongest level within it, Sixth Rank, and excelled at head-on combat. Judging purely by the attributes she had invested points in, she was no worse than someone of High Rank.
Victoria should be High Rank. With Elsa healing her, blocking this casual attack should not be much of a problem.
Vanessa immediately grew frantic. "Run! Don't try to take it!"
Flora froze for a moment. Her reactions were extremely fast, and she immediately moved to pull Elsa away, but the spider silk had already flashed past.
Her movements stopped, and then she slowly lowered her head.
The gaping hole that had been in her chest was now filled with blood.
Something rolled across the ground with a series of thuds. She looked down and saw that it was Elsa's head, its expression filled with disbelief.
