  • Sengoku sensed the danger and retreated with Garp and Kuzan, while Kizaru escaped by converting fully into light.
  • Wangchuan's thousand-meter domain unfolded around Guanghan Palace, trapping Akainu and the Blackbeard Pirates within its reach.
  • Wangchuan explained that the domain randomly alternated between weightlessness, overwhelming gravity, and lateral gravitational pull every half breath.
  • Blackbeard and his crew were forced to their knees, and Blackbeard was slammed down hard enough to bleed and crack a kneecap.
  • Despite his injuries, Blackbeard laughed and told Wangchuan that the stronger his ability was, the more he wanted it.

Ch. 138The moon!

Sengoku, Garp, Kuzan, and Kizaru discovered that Wangchuan’s domain distorted gravity and made entering it too dangerous. Wangchuan then summoned a moon above Marineford and declared it was about to fall, leaving everyone beneath it facing imminent destruction.

  • Kizaru fired a Light-Speed Kick into the domain, where chaotic gravity twisted the beam until it dissipated.
  • Sengoku concluded that the domain’s shifting gravitational effects could trap or disrupt anyone who entered, so the Marines could not risk going inside.

  • Tsuru looked back from Whitebeard’s warship and saw that Marineford had become a cloud of dust and a vast whirlpool.

Ch. 140Bounty! Ten Billion Beli!

  • Wangchuan considered exchanging the value of his bounty for template progress and joked about selling himself to the Marines.
  • A Celestial Dragon arrived with attendants, shot a civilian who had failed to clear the street, and continued onward.
  • Wangchuan ignored warnings from nearby civilians and walked toward the Celestial Dragon’s group, thinking that killing a few of them might be fun.

Ch. 142The Next Straw Hat Kid?!

Wangchuan confronted Saint Babette Marcus in the street and used an unseen force to make Marcus’s guards kneel and stop bullets in midair. Marcus fell from his slaves’ shoulders in terror as Wangchuan continued approaching him.

  • Saint Babette Marcus ordered Wangchuan to kneel and commanded four guards to attack him.
  • Wangchuan said “Kneel,” and all four guards were forced to the ground, unable to stand.
  • Wangchuan walked toward Marcus as the hiding civilians watched and compared him to another Straw Hat kid.

  • A merchant recognized Wangchuan as the Moon Demon, and the terrified crowd fled the street.
  • Saint Marcus tried to assert his authority as a Celestial Dragon while an enslaved former pirate begged Wangchuan to save him.
  • Wangchuan refused the former pirate and crushed him and three guards with an invisible force, leaving one guard alive.
  • Wangchuan decided to have someone else kidnap Saint Marcus and deliver the ransom to him, avoiding the system’s ban on exchanging illegal income.
  • Wangchuan settled on someone to carry out the plan and looked across the Sabaody Archipelago.

Ch. 144Shakky! Rayleigh!

Wangchuan took Saint Babette Marcus captive and sent a surviving guard to demand a ransom from the World Government. At Shakky's bar, Shakky and Silvers Rayleigh discussed Wangchuan's power and the Paramount War before he arrived dragging the Celestial Dragon and asked for a meal.

  • Wangchuan spared one guard and ordered him to tell the World Government that Saint Babette Marcus would be returned for a ransom.
  • Shakky and Silvers Rayleigh discussed Whitebeard's survival, Wangchuan's billion-beri bounty, and his extraordinary abilities.
  • Rayleigh reflected on Ace being Roger's son and the Second Division Commander on Whitebeard's ship.
  • Wangchuan entered Shakky's Rip-off Bar with Saint Marcus chained behind him and asked for a meal.

Ch. 145A deal struck!

Wangchuan negotiated with Rayleigh and Shakky to ransom Saint Marcus to the World Government for ten billion. Rayleigh and Shakky accepted the job in exchange for half the money and a favor from Wangchuan.

  • Wangchuan tied Saint Marcus by the door and sat down to eat at Shakky’s bar.
  • Wangchuan revealed that he knew Rayleigh’s identity and Shakky’s history with the Rocks Pirates.
  • Wangchuan offered Rayleigh and Shakky ten billion to hand Saint Marcus back to the World Government.
  • Wangchuan promised to handle the World Government and Marines himself and offered Rayleigh and Shakky one favor in return.
  • Shakky accepted the deal and agreed to split the ransom fifty-fifty, prompting Rayleigh to tease Wangchuan about who would get which half.

Ch. 146Lucci! CP0!

  • Saint Saturn learned that the Moon Demon had kidnapped Saint Babette Marcus and told the Five Elders they had to rescue him in secret.
  • The Five Elders agreed to pay ten billion Beli and assigned CP0 to handle the mission.
  • Saint Saturn contacted Rob Lucci and ordered him to rescue Marcus from the Sabaody Archipelago within three days.
  • The chapter recounted how Lucci and the former CP9 agents fled the World Government's pursuit before earning reinstatement as CP0.
  • Lucci received the encrypted call at a CP0 communications facility, and Kaku observed that the ransom matched the Moon Demon's bounty.

Ch. 147The Whitebeard Pirates!

CP9 prepared to negotiate Saint Marcus’s return with Wangchuan, while the Whitebeard Pirates celebrated their recovery and Ace resolved to thank the man who saved him. Ace was encouraged to visit Wangchuan, as the crew’s gathering continued around Whitebeard.

  • Jabra argued that the World Government would pay the ransom to protect the Celestial Dragons’ confidence in its power.
  • Blueno recalled that Wangchuan had sunk Marineford, and Kalifa warned that the agents could not confront him directly.
  • Lucci ordered the team to negotiate for Saint Marcus’s return and avoid any unnecessary actions.
  • Haruta laughed over a newspaper report about Wangchuan beating another Celestial Dragon, while Ace said he wanted to thank Wangchuan for saving his life.
  • Marco urged Ace to go find Wangchuan and pulled him into a toast with the Whitebeard Pirates.

Whitebeard sent Ace to Sabaody Archipelago to deliver the promised treasure to Wangchuan and thank him for saving Ace. In the Flower Room, Imu studied Wangchuan’s wanted poster and expressed interest in meeting him.

  • Whitebeard remembered his promise to pay Wangchuan double the treasure and learned from the newspaper that Wangchuan was at Shakky's Rip-off Bar.
  • Ace volunteered to go to Sabaody Archipelago with the money and his gratitude, and Whitebeard gave him permission while warning him not to cause trouble.
  • In Pangaea Castle’s Flower Room, Imu examined Wangchuan’s wanted poster and reacted to his title, the Moon Demon.

  • Kalifa suggested shopping while the agents waited, but Lucci and Kaku insisted they focus on the mission.
  • Rayleigh arrived dragging Saint Marcus in chains and said Wangchuan had sent him to make the delivery.
  • Lucci asked whether Rayleigh was involved, and Rayleigh said he was only being paid to deliver Saint Marcus.
  • Rayleigh demanded the ten billion Beli and the warship in exchange for Saint Marcus, and Lucci ordered his agents to comply.
