The narrator countered Jogo’s surprise attack, stole his flame technique, and used it to stop Hanami’s rescue attempt before summoning Mahoraga to hold Jogo at swordpoint. The other cursed spirits froze as the narrator declared that their survival was a gift.

• The narrator used Phantom Parade to copy Jogo’s Disaster Flames Manipulation, suppress his technique, and stab him through the eye with Asagirimaru.
• Hanami sent branches and vines to rescue Jogo, but the narrator used Jogo’s copied flame technique to burn them away and gouged out Jogo’s eye.
• As Hanami prepared to use Domain Expansion, the narrator switched to the Ten Shadows Technique and summoned Mahoraga.
• Mahoraga seized Jogo and held the Sword of Extermination to his neck, intimidating Hanami, Mahito, and Dagon into stillness.
• The narrator smoked calmly, told Jogo to stop howling, and called the cursed spirits’ continued survival a gift.

Suguru Geto and Satoru Gojo discussed Yuji Itadori’s suspended execution, Gojo’s reckless test of Yuji’s ability to suppress Sukuna, and their hopes of changing Jujutsu Society by raising powerful students. They looked forward to the Sister-School Goodwill Event, unaware that their peaceful routine was about to end.

• Suguru Geto returned from a mission with Yuta Okkotsu, Maki Zenin, Toge Inumaki, and Panda, then learned from Satoru Gojo and Masamichi Yaga about Yuji Itadori’s situation.
• Geto questioned Gojo’s plan to have Yuji consume all twenty of Ryomen Sukuna’s fingers, and Gojo revealed that Yuji had already swallowed a second finger and regained control within a second.
• Geto suggested asking Li Shunchen for advice, but Gojo admitted that Shunchen had previously rejected his request for help and might refuse to get involved again.
• Gojo told Geto that he was raising powerful students to help change Jujutsu Society and that he felt unable to leave Li Shunchen to bear his burdens alone.
• Geto and Gojo discussed the coming Sister-School Goodwill Event and the overwhelming strength of Tokyo Jujutsu High’s students, then anticipated Gakuganji’s reaction to their lineup.

Yuji Itadori joined Tokyo Jujutsu High and completed an entrance test with Nobara Kugisaki before Satoru Gojo learned that a hostile Curtain had trapped civilians in Shibuya and demanded his presence. Gojo set off for Shibuya with Yuji, Nobara, and Megumi Fushiguro, leaving the first-years unaware of the danger ahead.

• Masamichi Yaga tested Yuji Itadori's resolve, then admitted him to Tokyo Jujutsu High.
• Satoru Gojo took Yuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro to meet Nobara Kugisaki and sent Yuji and Nobara into an abandoned building to exorcise low-level curses.
• Yuji and Nobara exorcised the curses and rescued a trapped child, while Satoru Gojo and Megumi Fushiguro discussed Shunchen's long absence.
• Ijichi told Satoru Gojo that a strange Curtain had sealed civilians inside central Shibuya and that they were demanding Gojo be brought there.
• Satoru Gojo accepted the mission to investigate Shibuya and invited Yuji, Nobara, and Megumi to come with him.

Satoru Gojo entered the Shibuya barrier, discovered an underground trap where Special Grade Cursed Spirits used civilians as shields, and was wounded by an unseen attack that cut through Limitless. The chapter ended with Gojo searching for an attacker he could not see and realizing the enemy could bypass his defenses.

• Satoru Gojo entered the Shibuya barrier after telling Yuji Itadori, Nobara Kugisaki, and Megumi Fushiguro to wait outside.
• Megumi Fushiguro considered infiltrating the barrier but stayed outside after Yuji Itadori and Nobara Kugisaki urged him not to act recklessly.
• Satoru Gojo detected an inner barrier and many powerful cursed spirits, then followed the strongest cursed energy to an underground subway platform.
• Satoru Gojo confronted Jogo and two other Special Grade Cursed Spirits, while civilians crowded the platforms around them.
• Jogo’s allies opened the platform barriers, causing civilians to spill onto the tracks and forcing Satoru Gojo to avoid wide-area attacks.
• An unseen attacker slashed through Satoru Gojo’s Limitless and wounded his back, but he could not find anyone behind him.
