Arc 1The Star Plasma Vessel Mission

Li Shunchen joined Tokyo Jujutsu High, developed Phantom Parade, and accompanied Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto to protect Riko Amanai. After rescuing Riko and Misato Kuroi from Q and the Time Vessel Association, the group remained in Okinawa while Gojo kept Limitless active and Shunchen warned him that exhaustion could leave him vulnerable.

  • Li Shunchen escaped the Blade-Eater, discovered the Zenin Clan had used his parents as expendable workers, and endured Naoya Zenin’s abuse while plotting revenge.
  • After dying in a simulation with Suguru Geto, Li Shunchen inherited Phantom Parade, killed the Grade 2 Cursed Spirit with Asagirimaru, and joined Tokyo Jujutsu High as a student.
  • Li Shunchen studied the techniques of Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, Shoko Ieiri, and Masamichi Yaga, learning to reproduce Reverse Cursed Technique and temporarily control weak cursed spirits.
  • Masamichi Yaga assigned Li Shunchen to accompany Gojo and Geto on the mission to protect the Star Plasma Vessel, Riko Amanai, from Q and the Time Vessel Association.
  • Li Shunchen helped defeat Q members Kekun and Baier, treated Riko Amanai and the maid, and extracted Kekun’s Directional Blast Boundary before Riko woke and accused him of attacking her.
  • After Riko insisted on going to school, Li Shunchen and the others followed her wishes, and he defeated an elderly curse user who attacked them with shikigami.
  • When the Time Vessel Association kidnapped Misato Kuroi, Li Shunchen and the others rescued her in Okinawa, where Gojo delayed their return so Riko could sightsee.
  • Li Shunchen warned Gojo that keeping Limitless active without sleep could endanger him during a likely final attack, but Gojo said he was the strongest and could rely on Li Shunchen and Geto.
Chapters 1–25 Vol. 1 Read

Ch. 1Deduction in a Desperate Situation

After an unseen monster killed his parents, Li Shunchen awakened memories of his past life and a system that revealed his meager abilities. Facing certain death, he drew a unique fate trait that let him simulate future outcomes and began his first deduction.

  • An invisible force gruesomely killed Li Shunchen’s parents while he remained frozen in terror.
  • Li Shunchen awakened his past-life memories and discovered his dormant Fate Gacha system and its mostly worthless traits.
  • The monster crept upstairs toward Li Shunchen, who clutched the Cursed Tool Asagirimaru his father had given him.
  • The Fate Gacha system forced an upgrade and granted Li Shunchen the unique UR-grade Causal Deduction Simulator.
  • Li Shunchen activated his first free deduction to explore possible outcomes in his desperate predicament.

Ch. 2Greedy malice

Li Shunchen woke to find a monster in the house and met Sato, an Assistant Supervisor who pretended to help while coveting the cursed tool Asagirimaru. Realizing Sato was steering him toward certain death, Li Shunchen pretended to obey and headed for the basement with a plan to turn the situation against him.

  • Li Shunchen regained consciousness and sensed the monster moving across the ceiling through his Cursed Energy Allergy.
  • Sato arrived, noticed Asagirimaru, and falsely introduced himself as a professional there to deal with the monster.
  • Sato gave Li Shunchen a talisman with no cursed energy and urged him to hide in the basement so he could steal the blade after Li Shunchen died.
  • Li Shunchen realized Sato was unaware of the monster above him and intended to let him die for Asagirimaru.
  • Li Shunchen pretended to be terrified and walked toward the basement, then resolved to give Sato what he wanted.

Ch. 3Killing with a Borrowed Blade

Li Shunchen tricked Sato into taking Asagirimaru, leaving him to be killed by the Blade-Eater, then escaped with his father’s bloodstained phone. A call from the Zenin Clan demanded the blade, and Li Shunchen decided to go there for answers.

  • Li Shunchen revealed Asagirimaru and tossed it to Sato, pretending its cursed energy had burned him.
  • Sato discarded his defensive talisman and rushed to catch the blade, whereupon the Grade 2 Cursed Spirit Blade-Eater smashed through the wall and devoured him.
  • Li Shunchen escaped through a kitchen window while the monster attacked Sato.
  • Li Shunchen answered his father’s phone and heard a Zenin Clan member demand the blade and threaten him with payment.
  • Li Shunchen resolved to go to the Zenin Clan to find out what had happened.

Ch. 4The truth and the surrender of dignity

After learning the Zenin Clan had treated his parents as expendable, the protagonist humiliated himself to gain entry and become Naoya Zenin’s servant, intending to uncover the truth and seek revenge. He secretly studied the clan’s workings and witnessed its abuse of Maki and Mai, resolving to destroy the system one day.

  • The protagonist overheard guards reveal that the Zenin Clan had used his parents as expendable workers to gather cursed tools, leading to their deaths.
  • Naoya Zenin stopped guards from beating the protagonist, then let him enter the estate after he licked mud from Naoya’s sandal.
  • The protagonist became Naoya’s personal possession and secretly studied the clan, its guard rotations, and Naoya’s Projection Sorcery.
  • The protagonist witnessed the Zenin Clan’s misogyny and watched Naoya and his followers torment Maki and Mai.
  • Unable to intervene, the protagonist memorized the clan’s cruelty and vowed to destroy its corrupt system.

Ch. 5Feel Honored

At sixteen, Li Shunchen was abused by Naoya Zenin, who used him as a shield and a weapon against a cursed spirit, killing him without remorse. After the simulation, Li Shunchen gained cursed energy and a new fragment, and vowed to use Asagirimaru to avenge himself on the Zenin Clan.

  • Li Shunchen obtained the R-rank fragment "Endure Humiliation and Bear Burdens," which increased his recovery and reduced pain feedback.
  • Naoya Zenin threw Li Shunchen at a Semi-Grade 1 Cursed Spirit to block its acid attack, then used his body as cover to destroy the spirit's core.
  • Naoya's punch shattered Li Shunchen's body and killed him, while Naoya complained that Li Shunchen's blood had stained his kimono.
  • The Hei and Kukuru Unit members rushed to Naoya's side and ignored Li Shunchen's corpse, which one member kicked aside.
  • Li Shunchen received two years of simulated experience, ten points of cursed energy, and the fragments "Cursed Energy Allergy" and "Endure Humiliation and Bear Burdens."
  • Li Shunchen vowed to use Asagirimaru to settle the blood debt owed by the Zenin Clan.

Ch. 6Trainee Assistant Supervisor

Li Shunchen used a cursed spirit to kill Sato, then covered up his role and joined Tokyo Jujutsu High as a trainee assistant supervisor. He met Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Shoko Ieiri, and began considering his next move.

  • Li Shunchen lured Sato to the basement, where a cursed spirit killed him, and gained the fate fragment “Life Is Like a Play.”
  • Li Shunchen returned to the scene disguised as a frightened survivor and gave investigators Sato’s ledger as evidence of his abuses and dealings with the Zenin Clan.
  • An investigator recruited Li Shunchen as a trainee assistant supervisor at Tokyo Jujutsu High.
  • At the school, Satoru Gojo ordered Li Shunchen to write his mission report while Suguru Geto apologized and helped him gather the scattered papers.
  • Li Shunchen watched Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Shoko Ieiri leave and silently planned his next move.

Ch. 7Parting Gift

Li Shunchen watched Suguru Geto’s beliefs collapse after Riko Amanai’s death and Yu Haibara’s death, while Satoru Gojo became the strongest sorcerer. After drawing and equipping the Parting Gift card, Li Shunchen was assigned to accompany Suguru Geto on a mission to a remote village.

  • Li Shunchen handled the aftermath of Gojo and Geto’s missions, improving his Curtain technique before drawing an inconsequential N card.
  • Gojo returned from the Time Vessel Association base having mastered reverse cursed technique, while Geto grew increasingly silent and disgusted with non-sorcerers.
  • Li Shunchen learned that Toji Fushiguro had killed Riko Amanai and nearly killed Gojo, then drew and equipped the Parting Gift [SR] card.
  • Yu Haibara died during a mission with Kento Nanami, leaving Nanami devastated and deepening Geto’s despair.
  • Li Shunchen received an assignment to assist Special Grade Sorcerer Suguru Geto in investigating deaths and disappearances in a remote village.

Ch. 8At the end of righteousness lay a mountain of corpses

Li Shunchen found two abused girls with cursed energy locked in a cage and endured a villagers’ attack rather than break Jujutsu Society’s rules. Suguru Geto massacred the villagers, declared his plan for a world without non-sorcerers, and turned his cursed spirit on Li.

  • Li Shunchen discovered that the village’s supposed curse-related deaths concealed the abuse of two gifted girls.
  • When Li demanded that the villagers open the girls’ cage, they attacked him, and he endured their blows rather than harm non-sorcerers.
  • Suguru Geto arrived, saw Li and the girls being abused, and slaughtered the villagers with a cursed spirit.
  • Suguru freed the girls and told Li he had chosen to pursue a paradise for sorcerers without non-sorcerers.
  • Suguru thanked Li for his service, condemned him as part of the old system, and aimed a cursed spirit at his heart.

Ch. 9"Phantom Parade"

After dying at Suguru Geto’s hands in the simulation, Li Shunchen awakened with increased Cursed Energy and the innate Cursed Technique “Phantom Parade,” which could read and reproduce other techniques. He decided to pursue life as a Jujutsu Sorcerer rather than an Assistant Supervisor and headed toward the room containing a Cursed Spirit.

  • Li Shunchen awoke from the simulation with memories of his death and received its inheritances, including more Cursed Energy and “Phantom Parade.”
  • Li Shunchen read the technique’s rules and learned it could reveal and reproduce Cursed Techniques under certain conditions.
  • Li Shunchen remembered Suguru Geto but reconsidered his anger, recognizing that Geto’s actions challenged the existing order.
  • Li Shunchen decided to join Tokyo Jujutsu High as a Jujutsu Sorcerer instead of an Assistant Supervisor.
  • Li Shunchen equipped “Low Presence,” gripped Asagirimaru, and approached the iron door behind which the Cursed Spirit waited.

Ch. 10The First Exorcism and the Original Technique

Li Shunchen tested his newly awakened Phantom Parade by reproducing Sato’s Puppet Manipulation technique and using a paper figure to lure a Grade 2 Cursed Spirit into a fatal ambush. After confirming his combat ability, he staged the basement to make his survival look convincing before Window’s cleanup crew arrived.

  • Li Shunchen secretly read Sato’s Cursed Residue and discovered that Sato’s Innate Cursed Technique was Puppet Manipulation, not Shikigami summoning.
  • Li Shunchen used Phantom Parade to create a crude paper puppet from Sato’s bloodstained talisman and sent it toward a blind corner to draw the Grade 2 Cursed Spirit away.
  • Li Shunchen used Low Presence to approach the distracted Cursed Spirit and cut off its head with Asagirimaru, killing it.
  • Li Shunchen took Sato’s illicit-account notebook and placed it conspicuously, then smeared grime and blood over himself to prepare to act terrified when Window’s cleanup personnel arrived.

Ch. 11An unpolished gem

Window investigators found Li Shunchen alive beside Sato’s remains and learned he had awakened a cursed technique and killed a Grade 2 Cursed Spirit. Masamichi Yaga ordered the captain to bring him to Tokyo Jujutsu High, while Li Shunchen concealed his amusement at the investigators’ assumptions.

  • Window’s investigation team followed cursed residue to the basement and found Li Shunchen clutching Asagirimaru beside Sato’s remains.
  • Li Shunchen claimed he had used Sato’s talisman to lure the Grade 2 Cursed Spirit and cut its neck with the blade.
  • The captain deduced that Li Shunchen had awakened a rare technique, praised his combat instincts, and condemned Sato after finding his illicit ledger.
  • The captain contacted Masamichi Yaga, who ordered him to take Li Shunchen to Tokyo Jujutsu High for an interview.
  • The captain reassured Li Shunchen that he was safe, while Li Shunchen privately concealed his amusement.

Ch. 12The arrogant usurper

Li Shunchen passed Masamichi Yaga’s test by briefly taking control of a cursed corpse, then met Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Shoko Ieiri. The chapter left him analyzing Gojo’s technique after Gojo challenged him to copy it.

  • Li Shunchen arrived at Tokyo Jujutsu High as a specially recruited student and reflected on how his simulated memories had once made him a low-ranking assistant.
  • Masamichi Yaga tested Li by sending a cursed corpse to attack him, and Li dodged before using Phantom Parade to analyze Yaga’s Puppet Manipulation.
  • Li explained that the weak had no right to choose how they died, then seized control of the cursed corpse and turned its punch toward Yaga before Yaga reclaimed it.
  • Yaga praised Li’s ambition and accepted him as a student after recognizing how he had analyzed and attempted to usurp the cursed corpse.
  • Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Shoko Ieiri entered, and Gojo challenged Li to copy his Limitless technique.
  • Li met Gojo’s gaze and activated Phantom Parade to analyze him.

Ch. 13The gap and a smoking buddy

Li Shunchen failed to analyze Satoru Gojo’s cursed technique, then joined the first-year class at Tokyo Jujutsu High. He earned Shoko Ieiri’s approval by sharing her favorite cigarettes, gaining an additional simulation attempt and a promise of medical help.

  • Li Shunchen tried to analyze Satoru Gojo’s cursed technique, suffered a nosebleed, and failed.
  • Satoru Gojo welcomed Li Shunchen as a first-year transfer, and Masamichi Yaga assigned him to the first-year class.
  • Shoko Ieiri escorted Li Shunchen to the dorms, where he learned that approval from key characters could grant extra causal observation opportunities.
  • Li Shunchen offered Shoko her preferred cigarettes, and the two smoked together as new smoking buddies.
  • Shoko’s approval earned Li Shunchen one additional simulation attempt, and she offered to treat him if he was injured.

Ch. 14Have You Gotten Something Wrong?

Li Shunchen began a new simulation at Jujutsu High and faced a classroom demonstration of his classmates’ cursed techniques. He revealed that his technique, Phantom Parade, could analyze other techniques, and left Satoru Gojo stunned by his accurate explanation of Limitless.

  • Li Shunchen started a simulation in which Masamichi Yaga asked the students to demonstrate their cursed techniques.
  • Satoru Gojo demonstrated Limitless and boasted that he was the strongest.
  • Suguru Geto demonstrated Cursed Spirit Manipulation, while Shoko Ieiri explained her Reverse Cursed Technique.
  • Li Shunchen waited until the class focused on him, then announced that his demonstration had begun when he entered the room.
  • Li Shunchen explained that Phantom Parade analyzed cursed techniques through contact with or sensing cursed energy.
  • Li Shunchen described how Limitless screened approaching objects and placed a heavy computational load on Satoru Gojo, leaving Gojo shocked.

Ch. 15Even a short one was cute

Li Shunchen demonstrated that Phantom Parade could analyze and imitate cursed techniques, though his explanations concealed how slowly it gathered complete information. Over the following year, he managed crude imitations of his classmates’ abilities, but Gojo and Geto still had little need for his help.

  • Li Shunchen explained Geto’s Cursed Spirit Manipulation and asked how Geto endured the taste of swallowing cursed spirits, startling Yaga, Shoko, Geto, and Gojo.
  • Li Shunchen told Yaga that Phantom Parade could read cursed spirits while they were alive, and Yaga judged him capable of reaching Grade 1.
  • During missions, Gojo and Geto took over the fighting and left Li Shunchen with little chance to contribute despite his versatile technique.
  • Li Shunchen spent the year analyzing Gojo’s, Geto’s, and Shoko’s cursed techniques, then practiced reproducing them with limited success.
  • Li Shunchen’s imitation of Limitless lasted less than half a second, while his imitation of Cursed Spirit Manipulation could temporarily subjugate low-level spirits for reconnaissance but lost them when Phantom Parade stopped.
  • Li Shunchen reproduced Reverse Cursed Technique most smoothly and became the second person at Tokyo Jujutsu High able to use it on others.

Ch. 16Yaga's secret

Li Shunchen learned Puppet Manipulation and Cursed Corpse techniques from Masamichi Yaga, whose research seemed to involve a secret purpose beyond combat. In his second year, Li Shunchen joined a mission to find Utahime and wondered whether he would witness the Star Plasma Vessel protection mission firsthand.

  • Li Shunchen studied Puppet Manipulation and Cursed Corpse creation with Masamichi Yaga, then asked whether Yaga sought to make Cursed Corpses that could fight independently.
  • Masamichi Yaga questioned whether Cursed Corpses were only for fighting, then ended their lesson without explaining his motives.
  • Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto defeated Kyoto Jujutsu High's students in half an hour at the Goodwill Event.
  • Li Shunchen replaced Endure Humiliation and Bear Burdens [R] with Overachiever [R] before Kento Nanami and Yu Haibara enrolled as first-years.
  • After Utahime lost contact during a mission, Li Shunchen traveled with Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Shoko to Hamamatsu to find her and provide reinforcements.
  • Li Shunchen assured the Assistant Supervisor that he would handle the Curtain and wondered if he would experience the Star Plasma Vessel protection mission firsthand.

Ch. 17That would cost extra

Shunchen helped rescue Utahime from a barriered house, using his Cursed Corpse to stop a Cursed Spirit before Suguru Geto could absorb it. After Shunchen arranged to pay Mei Mei for instruction, Utahime reunited with Shoko and warned her not to become like Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto.

  • Shunchen raised a Curtain before Satoru Gojo destroyed the house with Blue, and Utahime tumbled out of the wreckage.
  • Mei Mei teased Shunchen about comforting her, while Shunchen recognized that she was interested in money.
  • Shunchen noticed a Cursed Spirit attacking Utahime and used his Great Sage Cursed Corpse to strike it before a second spirit restrained it.
  • Shunchen asked Suguru Geto to wait until he analyzed the Cursed Spirit's Cursed Technique, and Geto agreed.
  • Mei Mei warned Shunchen not to analyze her Cursed Technique, then offered to teach him for a fee, which Shunchen accepted.
  • Shoko comforted Utahime, who urged her not to become like Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto; Gojo then asked if Shunchen was scum too.

Ch. 18Hypocrisy, arrogance, pity, and where you stood

During a basketball game, Shunchen listened as Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto argued over sorcerers’ duties toward non-sorcerers, and felt disgust toward both their attitudes. Masamichi Yaga interrupted them with a mission and asked Shunchen to come along.

  • Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto argued about whether sorcerers should protect non-sorcerers, while Shunchen recalled Sato and Naoya and rejected both men’s attitudes.
  • Suguru Geto summoned a cursed spirit and asked Satoru Gojo to continue their argument outside, but Shunchen chose not to intervene.
  • Suguru Geto asked Shunchen what he thought, but Satoru Gojo objected to involving him in their dispute.
  • Masamichi Yaga entered the gym, ended the confrontation, and announced a mission for Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto.
  • Masamichi Yaga asked Shunchen to accompany them on the mission.

Ch. 19An entrusted task

Masamichi Yaga briefed Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and the narrator on protecting the Star Plasma Vessel until her merger with Master Tengen, explaining the threats and the stakes. After Gojo and Geto left, Yaga admitted Tengen had not requested the narrator; he had assigned them because he trusted them to watch over the other two.

  • Masamichi Yaga explained that the Star Plasma Vessel had to merge with Master Tengen to prevent Tengen from evolving and losing her personality.
  • Suguru Geto and the narrator explained the risks of Tengen's evolution, while Satoru Gojo compared the process to a Digimon evolution and reset.
  • Masamichi Yaga identified the Curse User group Q and the Time Vessel Association as threats seeking to kill the Star Plasma Vessel.
  • Masamichi Yaga ordered the group to protect the girl and deliver her to Tengen before the merger in two days.
  • After Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto left, Masamichi Yaga told the narrator that Tengen had not requested them and that he had assigned them because he trusted their abilities.

Ch. 20Reasoning and doubts

Li Shunchen joined Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto before they went to retrieve the Star Plasma Vessel, while he questioned the Time Vessel Association’s motives. At the hotel, an explosion struck the Vessel’s room, and Li Shunchen confronted a Q member in the corridor.

  • Li Shunchen told Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto that Masamichi Yaga had assigned him to provide support in Shoko’s place.
  • Li Shunchen questioned why the Time Vessel Association wanted to kill the Star Plasma Vessel, and Suguru Geto offered possible explanations.
  • Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto argued over Gojo’s arrogant way of speaking while they prepared to collect the Vessel.
  • Li Shunchen and Suguru Geto reached the Vessel’s hotel room, where a cursed-energy explosion erupted after someone answered the door.
  • Suguru Geto rushed into the damaged room as Li Shunchen faced a Q member who was dragging an unconscious maid.
  • Li Shunchen launched his blade, Asagirimaru, at the Q member.

Ch. 21You might not die

You defeated Kekun, a Q Organization member, and forced him to agree to cooperate while you treated the maid he had taken hostage. Suguru Geto returned with the Star Plasma Vessel and found you examining the maid, as you asked him to hand the girl over.

  • You attacked Kekun with Asagirimaru, but he used an explosion to knock the blade away.
  • You lured Kekun into a room, where Wukong ambushed him with Asagirimaru after Kekun dropped his hostage.
  • You injured Kekun, repeatedly healed and hurt his hand, and threatened him until he promised to reveal information about Q and leave the organization.
  • You used Reverse Cursed Technique to treat the maid and assured Suguru Geto that Kekun would cooperate.
  • Suguru Geto returned with the Star Plasma Vessel, and you asked him to hand her over so you could check whether she was injured.

Ch. 22Overlap and similarity

Shunchen examined Riko Amanai while extracting Kekun’s explosion-controlling Cursed Technique, then learned that Satoru Gojo had already defeated Q’s strongest fighter. When Riko woke, she mistook Shunchen for her rescuer and Gojo and Suguru Geto for swindlers, leaving Shunchen to watch events unfold differently than expected.

  • Shunchen extracted Kekun’s Directional Blast Boundary while using Reverse Cursed Technique to examine Riko Amanai, and showed Kekun a photo of Satoru Gojo standing beside the defeated Baier.
  • Satoru Gojo returned and described Baier’s ability to make objects float, but Shunchen decided not to acquire it because its effects overlapped with Limitless.
  • Gojo and Suguru Geto discussed Shunchen’s replicated Reverse Cursed Technique and recalled Shoko’s baffling explanation of how to use it.
  • Riko Amanai woke, slapped Shunchen, and accused him of trying to murder her before taking a defensive stance.
  • Suguru Geto tried to reassure Riko, but Misato Kuroi had to confirm that Shunchen had treated them; Riko then called him good and Gojo and Geto swindlers.
  • Gojo and Geto began stretching Riko’s limbs as she protested, while Shunchen reflected that the situation was not developing as he had expected.

Ch. 23A blessing or a curse

Riko Amanai insisted that assimilation with Lord Tengen would preserve her, while the narrator doubted she would retain any autonomy. When she decided to go to school despite the danger, Masamichi Yaga ordered the group to honor her wishes and keep her safe.

  • Riko Amanai explained that she believed assimilation would let her and Lord Tengen endure as one, while Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto ignored her to discuss their phone wallpapers.
  • The narrator wondered whether Riko Amanai had truly accepted assimilation or had persuaded herself it was not death, and her expression briefly stiffened at the question.
  • Riko Amanai decided to go to school, and Suguru Geto and Satoru Gojo tried to stop her because Curse Users might still attack.
  • The narrator called Masamichi Yaga, who said Lord Tengen had ordered them to fulfill Riko Amanai's requests and instructed the narrator to stay with her.
  • After hearing Yaga's orders, Suguru Geto looked to the narrator, who shrugged and accepted that they would follow Riko Amanai's wishes.

Ch. 24Cursed Technique Lapse: "Blue"

At Renchoku Girls' Academy, Suguru Geto and Satoru Gojo allowed Riko Amanai to spend time with her friends before her assimilation, until an attack forced them to hurry to her. Shunchen intercepted a curse user and used a replicated Cursed Technique Lapse: "Blue" to pull him onto Asagirimaru, leaving the attacker gravely wounded.

  • Suguru Geto reassured Misato Kuroi that she was Riko Amanai's family and should let her spend time with her friends.
  • Suguru Geto reported that two of his cursed spirits had been exorcised and urged Satoru Gojo and Shunchen to reach Riko.
  • Shunchen encountered an elderly curse user with two shikigami and recognized him as likely hired by the Time Vessel Association.
  • Shunchen dodged the shikigami's corrosive attack and blocked the elderly curse user's dagger with Asagirimaru.
  • Shunchen used Cursed Technique Lapse: "Blue" to pull the elderly curse user into his blade and slash his chest, causing the shikigami to dissolve.

Ch. 25The Last Calm Before the Storm

After Misato Kuroi was kidnapped, Shunchen and the others rescued her in Okinawa and stayed there with Riko Amanai. As the final day of the mission approached, Shunchen warned Satoru Gojo that exhaustion could leave him vulnerable, but Gojo trusted his own strength and the support of Shunchen and Suguru Geto.

  • Shunchen treated a wounded curse user, learned of the bounty on Riko Amanai, and told Satoru Gojo about it.
  • Suguru Geto showed Shunchen a photo of Misato Kuroi tied up, and Riko Amanai insisted on joining the rescue so she could see Kuroi again.
  • The kidnappers arranged an exchange in Okinawa, where Shunchen and the others quickly rescued Misato Kuroi from ordinary members of the Time Vessel Association.
  • Satoru Gojo delayed the return trip so Riko Amanai could sightsee, and he brought Kento Nanami and Yu Haibara to Okinawa as backup.
  • Shunchen pointed out that Satoru Gojo had kept Limitless active and had not slept, then warned him that exhaustion could endanger him during the enemy's likely final attack.
  • Satoru Gojo dismissed Shunchen's concern, saying he was the strongest and could rely on Shunchen and Suguru Geto for support.
