Konohagakure's former Advisor to the Hokage and leader of Root, Shimura Danzō, had died in the ruins of the Root Organization Base!
This was quite a drama, full of absurdity!

In truth, Naraku did not care whether the others in Konoha knew he had killed Danzo. What he was doing now was merely smearing Danzo's name, making him take the blame one last time.
