Arc 18Konoha Rebuilt
After Akatsuki destroyed Konoha, Shihōin Naraku became the Sixth Hokage and led the village’s reconstruction while Tsunade worked to restore Jiraiya’s arms. As rebuilding began, Naraku also kept watch on Kabuto’s training and Obito’s plans.
- Kakashi Hatake kept the Allied Shinobi Forces outside Konoha and explained that the village’s dead had returned to life, while the other villages learned of the destruction and reacted cautiously to Shihōin Naraku’s strength.
- Shihōin Naraku rejected rebuilding Konoha on its original layout, organized temporary shelter and supplies, and persuaded the leaders to let him fill the crater as the village began choosing a new Hokage.
- The jonin unanimously nominated Shihōin Naraku, the Daimyo approved him, and Naraku became the Sixth Hokage at a ceremony as Tsunade awoke and learned of Konoha’s survival and Jiraiya’s injuries.
- Tsunade passed Konoha’s Hokage responsibilities to Naraku and began researching Hashirama cells to restore Jiraiya’s arms, while Naraku used his power to haul mountain boulders into Konoha’s crater.
- Jiraiya reflected on the Great Toad Sage’s prophecy and chose to let Naruto and Naraku follow their own paths, while Tsunade continued her secret research and Naraku returned to his clan settlement to rest.
- Naraku received Kabuto’s message and told him to continue training, while Obito and Black Zetsu discussed Sasuke, the recovering Demonic Statue, and Akame joining them.
- Naraku and Kakashi directed Konoha’s ninja to break up and pack the crater’s boulders, then Yamato led earth-release teams in filling it with soil.
- Konoha began rebuilding on the outskirts, and Jiraiya praised Naraku as civilians and ninja worked together while Naraku promised to help restore Jiraiya’s arms once reconstruction eased.
