Ch. 241The Ryan Clan's Choice (Part One)

Delia confronted Deya and her mother about years of pressure to marry for status, insisting that she loved Linley regardless of his power or standing. When Linley arrived at the Ryan Clan’s home, Delia rushed to him, and he told her he had come to take her with him.

  • Deya blamed Delia for the empress’s selection and urged her to seek Linley, questioning whether being a Saint’s wife was better than being empress.
  • Delia told Deya and her mother that she had loved Linley since they first met and had endured years of marriage arrangements for the sake of her family.
  • Delia asked her parents to let her leave for Linley with their blessing, warning that she would go without it if they did not care for her as their daughter.
  • The butler announced that Linley Baruch, envoy of the Xunzhen Republic Empire, had arrived, and Delia used wind magic to hurry to the reception hall.
  • Delia and Linley embraced after their long separation, and Linley told her he had come to take her with him.

Ch. 242The Ryan Clan's Choice (II)

Linley reunited with Delia and asked the Ryan Clan to acknowledge his sincere feelings for her. He presented an astonishing collection of treasures, leaving Deya Ryan, his wife, and the clan elders stunned as the clan’s response remained pending.

  • Linley told Delia he had come to take her with him, and she clung to him as Deya Ryan witnessed their embrace.
  • Dixie returned to the reception hall, welcomed Linley, and said he had waited a long time for this day.
  • Linley told Deya Ryan that Delia had occupied his heart since their parting in Wushan Town and asked the Ryan Clan to acknowledge his feelings.
  • Linley produced vast treasures, including three Saint Realm Magic Crystal Cores and Loa’s Natural Laws Painting, astonishing Deya Ryan, his wife, and the elders.

Ch. 243The Wedding Was Set

Deya Ryan accepted Linley’s proposal after Linley swore Delia would be his only wife, and the Ryan Clan set their wedding for August 15, 10013, in Xunzhen City. Delia’s family celebrated as her long wait to marry Linley finally ended.

  • Deya Ryan asked Linley whether he would love Delia wholeheartedly and make her his only wife for life.
  • Linley swore an oath to marry no one but Delia, and Deya accepted him as his son-in-law.
  • Deya apologized to Delia, and Delia’s mother embraced her while Dixie and the elders expressed relief.
  • Linley announced that the wedding would take place on August 15 in Xunzhen City, with Loa presiding.
  • Deya publicly announced Delia’s betrothal to Linley and the wedding date, and the Ryan Clan celebrated.

Ch. 244The return journey

Linley and Delia left the Ryan Clan and traveled back to Xunzhen City with Bebe, who reunited with Delia and revealed that he could speak. They arrived at dusk, and Delia looked upon Xunzhen City as her new home.

  • Deya Ryan saw Delia off and asked Linley to treat her well, while Delia's mother reluctantly let her leave.
  • After crossing the Yulan Empire's border, Bebe leapt into Delia's arms, and she was surprised to learn he could talk.
  • Bebe teased Delia by calling her his sister-in-law, then pretended to beg her not to leave Linley a bachelor.
  • Bebe transformed into his ten-meter form and carried Delia as Linley used Wind Space to shield her from the cold air.
  • Linley, Delia, and Bebe reached Xunzhen City at dusk, and Delia gazed at the city as her new home.

Ch. 245The mystery of his origins

As Linley and Delia enjoyed a quiet moment before their wedding, Loa arrived with news for Linley and Bebe. He revealed that he could take them to meet Beirut, the Deity-level expert of the Dark Forest, leaving Bebe eager to learn about his origins.

  • Victor hurried through Xunzhen City overseeing the preparations for Linley and Delia's wedding while the couple spent time together in a quiet courtyard.
  • Loa left the Miniature Plane and visited Linley and Delia, saying he had important good news for Linley and Bebe.
  • Loa asked whether Linley remembered the name of Bebe's family, and Linley answered, "Beirut."
  • Loa told Linley and Bebe that he would take them to meet Beirut, the foremost Deity-level expert of the Yulan Continent.
  • Bebe rushed to Loa and asked whether he had news about the Beirut Family; Loa confirmed they would go to the Dark Forest.

Ch. 246Bound by blood

Linley brought Bebe to meet Beirut in the Dark Forest, where Bebe discovered that Beirut was his grandfather and the other God-Eater Rat. Beirut welcomed Bebe and thanked Linley for caring for him, while Linley affirmed that he and Bebe were brothers.

  • Linley left Delia with Haeru and traveled with Loa and Bebe to the Dark Forest.
  • Loa's Wind Divine Clone merged with his original body, and Harry led the group into Beirut's castle.
  • Bebe and Beirut recognized the deep bond between them as the only two God-Eater Rats.
  • Beirut embraced Bebe, and Bebe called him Grandpa Beirut.
  • Beirut thanked Linley for looking after Bebe, and Linley said they were brothers.

Ch. 247Hatred

Beirut told Bebe that his parents were killed after Tilon and Rudi pursued them to claim them as magical beasts. Bebe swore to avenge them, and Linley promised to go with him.

  • Bebe asked Beirut what happened to his parents, and Beirut told him they were dead.
  • Beirut explained that Bebe's father fought Tilon while his pregnant mother fled to Wushan Town and left Bebe hidden in the Baruch Clan's old manor.
  • After giving birth, Bebe's mother fled again but encountered Rudi and then Tilon, who fought over her and killed her.
  • Linley realized the battle between Tilon and Rudi had caused Wharton's injury and led to the events that brought Doehring Cowart into his life.
  • Bebe vowed to kill Tilon and Rudi, and Linley promised to accompany him.

Ch. 248Vengeance!

Linley, Bebe, Loa, and Wangcai carried out Bebe’s revenge, killing Rudi and Tilon for their roles in his parents’ deaths and destroying their souls. Afterward, Bebe grieved for the parents he had never known, and Linley comforted him as the group departed.

  • Beirut agreed that Wangcai would help Bebe take revenge, and Loa led Linley, Bebe, and Wangcai to Mole Town.
  • Bebe and Wangcai tortured Rudi, who had pursued Bebe’s mother, then killed him and annihilated his soul with Divine Thunder Strike.
  • Loa stopped the High Priest from reaching Rudi and explained the blood debt, so the High Priest turned away.
  • Bebe used his Shadow Clone Technique to batter Tilon, who had killed Bebe’s father and mother, then killed him while Wangcai destroyed his soul.
  • Bebe mourned his parents and leaned on Linley for comfort before Loa took the group away.

Ch. 249The years were a song

Linley and Delia married, started a family, and watched the Xunzhen Republic Empire flourish over the following years. By 10023, Linley had reached the Saint-level Limit and prepared to attack the Radiant Church, while his family and allies set out against the Dark Church.

  • Linley married Delia in a grand ceremony attended by figures including Tulilei, Fain, Desri, and Cesar.
  • Harry delivered Beirut’s gift, a Wind-element Lowgod Divine Spark, and Loa urged Delia to bind it with her blood so she could refine it.
  • Wharton and Mia welcomed a son, Xini, in winter 10014, and Linley and Delia had twins, Sasha and Taylor, in spring 10015.
  • Over the next years, the children grew and the empire prospered; Wharton and Mia reached the Saint level, while Delia refined most of her divine spark and became a Saint.
  • In 10023, Linley told Loa he would leave the next day with Bebe to confront the Radiant Church, while Mia, Wharton, Wangcai, Wuzhui, and Bob prepared to attack the Dark Church.

Ch. 250The fall of the Holy See

Linley and Bebe launched an attack on Holy Island, where Wind World devastated much of the Radiant Church’s stronghold. The Church’s Saints sacrificed themselves to break the spell, leaving Linley standing before the surviving Holy See forces.

  • Linley arrived at Holy Island with Bebe and killed the watchtower sentries before the Radiant Church raised the alarm.
  • Bebe used eight clones to massacre the Church’s holy knights and other fighters as Linley watched from the watchtower.
  • Linley unleashed Loa’s Wind World scroll, which erased two-thirds of Holy Island’s buildings and forced Pope Heidens to order the Great Hexagram Battle Formation.
  • The formation’s thirty-six Saints failed to damage Linley, and his Earth Pulsation strike shattered their ranks and killed the fifteen Four-Winged Angels.
  • Leiming, Luoye, and the surviving Saints burned themselves to unleash a blood-red blast that broke Wind World’s curtain.
  • Linley remained unharmed amid the falling fragments of Wind World as the surviving Holy See personnel faced him.

Ch. 251A god's projection! Becoming a god!

Linley defeated Balsaze, a projected god summoned by Heidens, and completed his understanding of the Laws of the Earth to become an Earth Element Lowgod through external godhood. After destroying Holy Island and erasing the Radiant Church from the Yulan Plane, Linley flew with Loa and Bebe toward Xunzhen Main City.

  • Heidens sacrificed most of his life force to summon Balsaze, who attacked Linley with a javelin imbued with the Laws of Light.
  • Linley endured Balsaze's attacks and wounded him, then refused Bebe's plea to use a scroll as Balsaze prepared a killing blow.
  • Linley completed the ultimate profound mystery of the earth's pulsations and struck Balsaze down with Limit Wave.
  • The Laws of the World descended, and Linley chose external godhood as his earth element divine clone merged into his Saint domain true body.
  • Linley sank a sphere of divine power into Holy Island, causing the island and Radiant Temple to collapse into the sea and ending the Radiant Church's presence on the Yulan Plane.
  • Linley joined Loa and Bebe, and the three flew toward Xunzhen Main City.

Ch. 252On the Eve of the Necropolis of the Gods

As the Necropolis of the Gods prepared to open, Saints across the Yulan Continent weighed the chance to become Deities against leaving their families for ten years. Barker decided to enter, while Linley stayed behind and Loa planned to send his divine clone; the chapter ended with the future entrants preparing for the unknown trials.

  • Fain gathered the O'Brien Empire's Saints at War God Mountain while the War God made preparations for the Necropolis of the Gods.
  • Loa told the Xunzhen Republic Empire's Saints that the Necropolis would remain open for ten years and that entry was voluntary.
  • Barker chose to enter the Necropolis, and Linley gave him a contribution-point Token to obtain one of Loa's defensive scrolls.
  • Linley decided to stay with Delia and their children, while Loa considered sending his divine clone into the Necropolis.
  • Beirut forced Wangcai and Bebe to continue training their ability to fuse profound mysteries.
  • Saints across the Yulan Continent said goodbye to their families or prepared to travel before the Necropolis opened.

Ch. 253The Necropolis of the Gods Opens

The Deities and their gathered Saints and magical beasts traveled to the South Sea and entered the Necropolis of the Gods. Inside, Linley felt a mysterious connection to a divine-beast relief, then watched Bebe and Wangcai leave with the magical beasts as Beirut assured him they would be safe.

  • The War God, Catherine, Loa, Linley, Dylan, Cesar, and their followers gathered at the Dark Forest before Beirut led them to the South Sea entrance.
  • Catherine explained that this Necropolis opening would be reached through the South Sea, and no one withdrew before nightfall.
  • Beirut opened the spatial gate at the bottom of the sea, and the group passed through into the Necropolis of the Gods.
  • Linley saw four enormous divine-beast reliefs and felt something in the dragon carving call to his bloodline.
  • Beirut told everyone to remain in the Necropolis for ten years, and the human Saints and magical beasts split up.
  • Bebe and Wangcai left with the magical beasts, and Beirut assured Linley that their lives would not be in danger.

Ch. 254Two Demon Balls Wreak Havoc in the Graveyard

Olivier advanced through the trial tower’s first five floors, surviving its hazards and encountering Wangcai and Bebe on the fifth. As Olivier headed toward the volcano alone, Barker chose to stop and cultivate, intending to climb higher only if he broke through.

  • Olivier crossed the desert and plant-world floors, then slipped past the divine beast Ba Snake to reach the fourth floor.
  • Olivier passed through the Snowfield Panda Clan’s territory after its leader told him to leave, and reached the fifth floor.
  • Bebe and Wangcai swept through their undead trial space, defeating its beasts and gathering Magic Crystal Cores as gifts for Xini and the others.
  • Olivier met Bebe and Wangcai on the fifth floor, declined their offer to help him climb, and headed toward the volcano alone.
  • Barker rested on the fifth floor after Wangcai and Bebe gave him Magic Crystal Cores and one of Loa’s attack scrolls, then began cultivating.

Ch. 255The sixth floor

Bebe and Wangcai reached the sixth floor, where Desri warned them about the Flame Monarch and its army of Red Rock Demons. The pair went ahead anyway, and as the creatures surrounded them, Bebe volunteered to fight the Flame Monarch while Wangcai took on the others.

  • Desri explained that the sixth floor was ruled by the immensely powerful Flame Monarch, who wielded the Bloodthirsty Great Axe and commanded countless Red Rock Demons.
  • Desri and Tulilei said they had fought the Flame Monarch three thousand years earlier and planned to train on the fifth floor before challenging the sixth.
  • Bebe and Wangcai ignored the warning and passed through the entrance to inspect the sixth floor.
  • More than three hundred Red Rock Demons emerged from the lava and surrounded Bebe and Wangcai as the Flame Monarch rose from a lava river.
  • The Flame Monarch ordered his Red Rock Demons to attack, and Bebe told Wangcai to clear them out while he fought the Flame Monarch.

Ch. 256Wangcai's Terrifying Attack Power

Wangcai and Bebe fought the Flame Monarch and his Red Rock Demons on the sixth floor, destroying the army and apparently killing the monarch before his core rebuilt him. The Flame Monarch entered his combat form and ordered his children to self-destruct, leaving Wangcai and Bebe facing his unleashed power.

  • Bebe used Shadow Clone Technique to slash the Flame Monarch while Wangcai magnetized Red Rock Demons and hurled them into their ranks.
  • Wangcai summoned Thunder Greeting Heavenly Punishment, reducing hundreds of Red Rock Demons to ash and slag.
  • Wangcai pierced the Flame Monarch's head with a lightning attack, and the monarch's body shattered across the ground.
  • Boulders reassembled around the Flame Monarch's transparent core, while more Red Rock Demons emerged from the magma.
  • The Flame Monarch ordered the Red Rock Demons to self-destruct, shrank into his stronger combat form, and activated the Bloodthirsty Great Axe.
  • Bebe welcomed the next phase of the fight as he and Wangcai prepared to face the Flame Monarch's true power.

Ch. 257Bebe's true strength!

Bebe and Wangcai defeated the Flame Monarch and his Red Rock Demons on the sixth floor, then found the passage to the seventh floor. After the remaining guards fled, the two divine beasts entered the passage.

  • Bebe absorbed most of the Flame Monarch's axe strikes while Wangcai destroyed the Red Rock Demons that tried to self-destruct.
  • Wangcai found the passage to the seventh floor, and Bebe unleashed his eight Shadow Clones to overwhelm and dismantle the Flame Monarch.
  • Bebe swallowed the Flame Monarch's transparent core, while Wangcai warned him that Beirut might pump his stomach again.
  • Bebe and Wangcai reached the passage guarded by over a thousand Red Rock Demons, and the horde fled when they saw the two divine beasts.
  • Bebe and Wangcai rested briefly at the entrance, then entered the passage to the seventh floor.

Ch. 258The Seventh Layer, Offspring and Mother Empress

Wangcai and Bebe entered the Seventh Layer, fought plant monsters, and discovered that the Mother Empress was guarding the passage in a vast desert. They found her at a Black Pyramid, where Wangcai's opening attack failed to stop her, and she unleashed a storm of vines against them.

  • Bebe took a scimitar and magic staff from a stone chamber, then he and Wangcai entered the Seventh Layer's desert world.
  • A root monster trapped them in an oasis, but Bebe escaped with Wangcai's help, and Wangcai destroyed the oasis with a Lightning Spear.
  • Bebe pursued and devoured the root monster after it warned them about the Mother Empress; Wangcai and Bebe then searched the desert for her and the passage.
  • After the oasis monsters proved unable to reveal the Mother Empress's location, Wangcai and Bebe uncovered a Black Pyramid and its passage beneath the sand.
  • The Mother Empress, who introduced herself as Lashabel, emerged among the vines; Wangcai pierced her with a Lightning Spear, but she healed and sent thousands of vines toward him and Bebe.

Ch. 259An unknown treasure

Wangcai and Bebe escaped Lashabel’s vines with a coordinated attack, and Wangcai’s Ten Thousand Jun of Thunder nearly destroyed her. Bebe discovered that Lashabel survived because of a Life Source Pearl, leaving the pair to consider how they could reach it.

  • Lashabel trapped Wangcai and Bebe with spatial immobilization, so Bebe defended them while Wangcai prepared an area attack.
  • Bebe released the energy he had devoured to blast open a gap in Lashabel’s vines, allowing them to flee as Wangcai completed his spell.
  • Wangcai cast Ten Thousand Jun of Thunder, setting Lashabel’s vines ablaze and forcing her to retreat into a defensive ball.
  • Bebe watched from a Shadow Clone and saw an emerald Life Source Pearl restore Lashabel’s scorched vines, keeping her alive.
  • Bebe reunited with Wangcai and described the pearl, but Wangcai pointed out that Lashabel’s range and defenses made stealing it too dangerous.

Ch. 260Everyone's shock, the Life Source Pearl

Desri and Tulilei found that Wangcai and Bebe had defeated the Flame Monarch and learned they were stymied by Queen Mother Lashabel’s Life Source Pearl. The Six-Eyed Golden Lions revealed a way to immobilize her for one second, and Wangcai saw a chance to destroy her with a coordinated attack.

  • Desri and Tulilei entered the sixth floor and found the Flame Monarch dead, its Red Rock Demons scattered, and signs that Wangcai and Bebe had fought their way through.
  • On the seventh floor, Wangcai and Bebe told Desri and Tulilei that Queen Mother Lashabel’s Life Source Pearl instantly healed her injuries.
  • Desri brought everyone back to the fifth floor and asked whether anyone knew about the green pearl.
  • The three Six-Eyed Golden Lions identified it as a Life Source Pearl, which could restore Lashabel unless an attack completely obliterated her.
  • The Six-Eyed Golden Lions said their combined attack could immobilize Lashabel for one second, and Wangcai planned to use that opening with Bebe to expose the pearl and strike her down.
