"Hadley, what exactly happened to you these past two months? I spent so many days searching for you in the Magical Beast Forest, but I never found any trace of you," Linley said helplessly.
"Boo-hoo..." Hearing Linley say this, Hadley cried even harder.
Hadley truly was heartbroken. They had agreed to train together, but that had fallen apart the moment they entered the Magical Beast Forest. He had even lost the chance to encounter Linley's first love alongside him. In two months away, he had accomplished nothing, spending every day being chased by magical beasts through the Magical Beast Forest.
At this thought, Hadley cried even louder.
There was nothing Linley could do but let Hadley vent his feelings first, then ask what had happened once he calmed down.
Supporting the still-sobbing Hadley, Linley walked into the academy.
Seeing Hadley in this state, Linley decided to take him to his dormitory first and wait until he calmed down. They had just reached the dormitory entrance when they heard voices inside.
"Boss Yale, Linley's been gone for almost two months. Why isn't he back yet? Could he have run into danger in the Mountain Range of Magical Beasts?"
"Fourth Brother, shut your damn mouth. Third Brother will definitely come back safely. Come on, let's go eat." As Yale finished speaking and looked up, he saw two figures standing outside the courtyard and froze. George and Reynolds beside him also stared blankly for a while before all three rushed over in excitement.
"Haha, Third Brother, you're finally back!" Yale reached him first and gave Linley a bear hug.
Reynolds shouted too, "Linley, Boss Yale and George have been talking about you every day, worrying about you. I was the only one who knew you'd come back safely."
"Hey!" George glared at him.
