Wu Yunsu lost another avatar and, after the Immortal Alliance’s disciples let him pass, killed one of them before fleeing. The earlier scene showed Xie Xiyi forcing Chi Yu into Spiritual Communion, while Shangshan accepted his injury as the fulfillment of a foretold calamity.

• Xie Xiyi took Chi Yu to a cave abode and prepared incense before confronting him about giving up half his heart to save Xie Xiyi.
• Xie Xiyi claimed Chi Yu as his Dao Companion, threatened him over his heart, and used his Divine Sense and Forbidden Curse to overpower him.
• Shangshan destroyed most of the Forbidden Curses with his Dharma Lotus, but a tiny curse slipped into the lotus and reduced his arm and half his body to dust.
• Shangshan told the monks not to pursue Xie Xiyi and said the foretold calamity of bloodshed had been fulfilled.
• Wu Yunsu received no reply from Chi Yu, went out in disguise, and was stopped by Immortal Alliance disciples checking his identity.
• After Wu Yunsu left, the disciple who had inspected him bled from his seven orifices and died, and the others pursued Wu Yunsu.
