Three Separate Star Systems

Star Ratings

A Saint Soul’s rating considers its power, prevalence, environment, first comprehender, and other factors. Higher rating does not always mean a stronger individual technique 21.

• Specialization matters: Hat-to-Wings earns its five-star rating principally through flight. Its offensive power is dozens of times weaker than the Song Family’s powerful five-star inheritance 21.
• Ratings are not fixed: Saint Souls can gain or lose stars under certain circumstances 25.
• Potential is not advancement: Railroad Speed remains six-star despite rails spreading across all seven kingdoms. Xia Yi believes making a train is necessary to elevate it further 11.
• Fighting above one’s realm is unusual: Those who achieve it generally possess an exceptionally powerful five-star Saint Soul or a six-star Saint Soul 39.

Empowerment

• Phantoms can take different forms, including books, historical figures, and scenes associated with the Saint Soul 7 19 42.

Saint Soul Power and Capacity

Power Reserves

An imprinted Saint Soul’s contribution to power reserves is calculated as:

Saint Soul rating × mastery level = units of Saint Soul power 21.

• Equal-strength techniques can provide different reserves: each mastery level of a one-star Saint Soul supplies one unit, while a four-star Saint Soul supplies four 21.
• The quality of Saint Soul power improves with cultivation realm. Xia Yi estimates that a seven-star king’s attack containing 100 units could destroy half of Lieyang City 21.
• Available power alone does not determine effectiveness. Feng Shuhu’s lower-mastery abilities are ineffective against Xia Yi despite his possessing multiple Saint Souls 43.

Imprinting Limits

• After imprinting the two-star Sword Scripture, Shi Lai has five stars of capacity remaining 21.
• Aperture count can prevent a cultivator from using the full star allowance. Shi Lai’s seven apertures could hold only 49 stars even if all seven Saint Souls were seven-star 21.
• Player trial settlements separately include changes to Saint Soul slot counts; sufficiently severe slot penalties can prevent further login 45.

Creation and Transmission

Creating a Six-Star Saint Soul

Inferior Rat Saint Souls

These Saint Souls negatively affect their cultivators, potentially compromising judgment or forcing allegiance 29.

Origin

Around a thousand years earlier, a human hero surnamed Si pretended to serve a rat Great Demon to rescue his captured family. During the deception, he unknowingly comprehended the three-star Demon Slave Saint Soul. Although he rescued his family, its influence drove him back into the demon’s service 29.

“​​Inferior rat Saint Soul” originally referred to Demon Slave because a rat demon first discovered it. The term later expanded to cover harmful Saint Souls generally 29.

Removal and Risks

• Resistance: Strong willpower can shatter a harmful Saint Soul. Guan Yu destroys the five-star Fox King’s Son-in-Law this way 29.
• Method: Shattering requires using Saint Soul power against one’s own Soul Aperture 29.
• Consequences: Failure can damage the three souls, end cultivation, impair movement or speech, or cause immediate death 29.
• Protection: Xia Yi identifies thousand-year-old soul ginseng and soul-nourishing ingredients as components of protective medicine. Chen Guang warns of residual risk, but Xia Yi insists properly prepared medicine is completely safe 29.
