At Four Directions' speed, the journey from the Eastern Air Temple to the Fire Nation capital took half a day, but those hours were rather agonizing for Kahn.
Along the way, he wrestled with what he should say first when he saw Azula again.
As he mulled it over, a strange sight, both familiar and unfamiliar, suddenly appeared in his field of vision, interrupting his thoughts.
"Airships?"
In the distance, a formation of enormous vessels flew slightly below his altitude. They looked exactly like the Zeppelins recorded in the history books of his previous life, with huge Fire Nation emblems emblazoned on their gasbags, leaving him rather stunned.
"I've only been gone a year, and the technology tree here has already climbed this high?"
After all, in his previous life, Zeppelins had been overlords of the skies that commanded the winds and clouds during World War I!
And they looked so damn cool!
Ahem.
Setting their looks aside, in terms of combat power, putting these terrifying monsters into a world whose technology tree had grown crooked, where they had not even developed firearms-wasn't that just outright bullying?!
"No wonder Azula conquered the world. This is sheer technological domination."
Kahn shook his head.
Apart from people like himself and Aang, who could fly, he had no idea how anyone else could deal with this Airship Fleet.
How could you lose with flying dragons-or ships-right in their faces?
There was still some distance between him and the Airship Fleet, and he made a relatively small target. The fleet did not notice him and flew off in the opposite direction.
Watching the departing Airship Fleet, Kahn could not help wondering again where exactly they were going and what they intended to do.
Could they be heading out to deal with the White Lotus
