Three months later.
A star fell from space like a streak of deep blue light tearing across the world and slammed into the ocean.
Unmatched kinetic energy carried world-shaking power, punching straight through the entire ocean.
Then endless, surging seawater ravaged the boundless land like raging water dragons.
The whole world seemed submerged, and a blue world appeared before all living beings.
At the center of the Eastern Cang Land, Jiang Yang stood on Kunlun Mountain, with the gods of Kunlun filling the space behind him.
Surging seawater swept across the world, and only the vast mountains offered a patch of peace.
Facing the Cang Abyss, Jiang Yang remained silent.
According to their calculations, this Great Flood would last an entire month.
Of the world's living beings, excluding those they had rescued beforehand, fewer than one in a hundred would survive this Great Flood.
The powerful strange beasts had all occupied mountains and plateaus of their own accord.
If ordinary creatures encountered gentle ones, they still had a thread of hope for survival; if they encountered savage ones, their chances were slim.
Standing beside Jiang Yang was a stunningly beautiful blonde woman-Filiya, now fully grown.
As she gazed at the towering seawater, sorrow showed in her eyes.
Countless Golden Humans had died in this flood.
The entire population of Golden Humans now numbered only a few tens of thousands. Compared with their former population, which had once reached ten million, the difference was enormous.
Moreover, most of the surviving Golden Humans were powerful individuals.
Those with great strength all had the ability to cross the Primeval Wilderness.
After the Great Flood, the gods abandoned them, and they turned instead to worshipping the Golden King.
For they had heard the story of how the Golden King Gilgamesh had rebelled against the gods and been slain by them.
The tragic Human King was their hero as well.
Later, long afterward, these powerful surviving Golden Humans gathered together and called themselves Dragonkin!
One month later.
The flood slowly receded.
Jiang Yang led the gods onto the land ravaged by the flood. It truly was a wasteland, without a trace of the species that had once flourished there.
"Though the Great Flood has passed, this is a wound upon the world. Who knows when it will recover its former appearance?"
A god sighed.
"Yes. That meteorite struck the ocean dead center. I truly suspect some terrifying being was harvesting the souls of all living beings."
A god gazed toward the place on the horizon where the meteorite had fallen and spoke with hatred.
Listening to their conversation, Jiang Yang did not interrupt, allowing them to vent their feelings.
Only after quite some time, when he felt they had more or less finished, did he soothe the gods.
"Since we regard ourselves as the gods of a new epoch, we must shoulder the heavy responsibility of reviving the world. Though the world has been ravaged, we still hold the seeds of hope."
He opened his hand, revealing a fiery-red tree seed in his palm.
"This is hope!"
With that, he planted it himself in the soil beneath his feet.
"We have countless seeds, and countless living beings rescued from the flood. As long as we nurture them carefully, they will one day spread across the world again."
"Yes, King Jiang!"
Moved by the sight, the gods followed his example.
"Whether it takes a hundred years or a thousand, the world will revive!"
"Whether it takes a hundred years or a thousand, the world will revive!"
It seemed that from this very moment, the gods truly began to regard themselves as gods, sheltering the world and protecting all living beings.
For from this moment onward, they understood that this was a living world they had created with their own hands.
The gods of the Seven Divine Courts emerged one after another to restore life to the land.
Meanwhile, in the Norse Refuge, Aulisel also released the group of Golden Humans with godlike appearances who had been breeding for a long time, and they began to live and multiply upon the land.
The greatest trait these distinctive Golden Humans shared was that their eyes were exactly like those of humans, which also gave the Divine Clan a sense of kinship with them.
Another thousand years later, these humans, whose appearances closely resembled the Divine Clan, gradually spread across the world.
Once their different forms stabilized, they also formed several major races, each with its own distinctive traits.
Some called themselves elves, some dwarves, some gnomes, some fairies, and some demi-humans, while certain races that reverted to ancestral traits called themselves orcs.
More of them took up the name of humanity. They were the Silver Human Race.
But they also had a new, collective name: the silver folk!
The silver folk worshipped the gods devoutly, and the gods sheltered them in turn.
For although the silver folk had mutated from Golden Humans, their strength was worlds apart; by comparison, they were exceedingly weak.
The former Golden Humans, along with the races that had mutated from them, were called the Golden People.
And so, as the silver folk multiplied and the Golden Humans withdrew from the world.
The Silver Age arrived.
