Background / History

Liu Erlong earned the title Horn of Slaughter during her youth as a member of the Golden Iron Triangle. Alongside Flender, the Horn of Flight, and Yu Xiaogang, the Horn of Wisdom, she became known for a three-person Martial Soul Fusion Skill that summoned the Golden Sacred Dragon 23 27.

She fell in love with Yu Xiaogang, but their wedding was halted after their blood relationship became known: she was his younger paternal cousin. Yu Xiaogang left afterward, and Erlong spent years believing that their family ties were the reason he could not remain with her. She left her clan and established Blue Tyrant Academy for him, continuing to wait for his return 27 29.

Her relationship with her father, Yu Luomian, was distant. Watching Qian Daoliu patiently care for Qian Renxue later reminded Erlong that her own father had never treated her with comparable tenderness 31.

Erlong has a fiery temper and a strong protective instinct. Even after beginning to doubt Yu Xiaogang, she postpones questioning him so they can first avenge Zhao Wuji. In the Star Dou Great Forest, she instinctively shields Qian Renxue from the Titan Giant Ape and attempts to move her out of danger 28 30 31 40.

Her long attachment to Yu Xiaogang makes her willing to excuse his absence and avoidance, but that loyalty ends when he offers her to Qian Daoliu to save himself. Afterward, she becomes direct about rejecting him and refuses to intervene when Qian Renxue comes to kill him 29 43 66.

Erlong values Qian Daoliu’s straightforwardness: his admission that he accepted her because her Martial Soul and cultivation were useful reassures her more than comforting promises would have. Flender contacts Erlong after Zhao Wuji’s death, seeking to reunite the Golden Iron Triangle for revenge. She joins him and Yu Xiaogang outside Qian Daoliu’s hotel, where they also demand an explanation for Ning Rongrong’s confinement 23 27.

Qian Daoliu’s accusations against Yu Xiaogang unsettle her before the battle, but she agrees to avenge Zhao Wuji first. Their Golden Sacred Dragon is destroyed, and the resulting confrontation exposes Yu Xiaogang’s use of Spirit Hall research and his unresolved feelings for Bibi Dong 27 28.

When Yu Xiaogang offers her to Qian Daoliu in exchange for his life, Erlong slaps him and ends their relationship. After Flender’s death and further revelations, she kneels before Qian Daoliu, thanks him for revealing the truth, and swears never to betray him 29 30.

Service to Qian Daoliu

Erlong guides Qian Daoliu and Qian Renxue through the Star Dou Great Forest during the search for Qian Renxue’s seventh Soul Ring. Witnessing the Titan Giant Ape’s defeat deepens her understanding of Qian Daoliu’s power, while his care for his granddaughter reveals a gentler side 30 31.

Qian Daoliu sends her to Spirit City with an angel token and orders her to cultivate toward Soul Douluo. No subsequent breakthrough for Erlong is documented in the supplied chapters. She later reports developments in Spirit City and accompanies him into the Pope’s Hall, where her allegiance is openly established 32 35 38.

New Relationship and the Clan’s Submission

Following Qian Renxue’s accession, Erlong confesses her feelings to Qian Daoliu and chooses to remain with him as more than a subordinate 40.

Erlong accompanies another Soul Ring hunt, stands guard during cultivation, and becomes the test subject for Qian Renxue’s Azure Sky Illusory Thunder. The skill traps her consciousness in a thunder-filled illusion until Qian Renxue releases it 44 47.

During Qian Renxue’s trials, Erlong supplies meals and refreshments and helps with daily preparations. Before the final ascent, she promises to have steamed fish ready; throughout Qian Renxue’s seven-day absence, she replaces the fish daily to keep that promise 53 54 63 64.

Yu Xiaogang’s Death and Divine Kingdom Service

Erlong returns to the former Blue Tyrant Academy with Qian Daoliu and Qian Renxue. When Yu Xiaogang asks her to stop his execution, she states that she came specifically to watch and refuses to defend him 66.

After Qian Renxue becomes Empress of the Heaven Dou Divine Kingdom, Erlong assists with dossiers, Soul Master registration issues, and academy affairs. She continues accompanying Qian Daoliu and Qian Renxue during their work and private meals 69 71 72.
