Chapters 77–80 Vol. 1 Read

Ch. 77Reunion in the Old Courtyard

Ah Yin reunited with Little Yi in their old courtyard and told him about her years with Tang San and the Soul Beasts. After they walked through Heaven Dou City, she asked him to visit her home, and he agreed after learning she only wanted to share her life with him.

  • Ah Yin visited Little Yi at their former courtyard, where they shared tea and caught up on her years with Tang San and the Soul Beasts.
  • Ah Yin described how Tang San's Sea God trials had targeted Soul Beast clans that refused to worship the Sea God, though Tang San had promised not to target them after inheriting the position.
  • Ah Yin asked Little Yi to walk with her, and he accompanied her through Heaven Dou City as she revisited small pleasures of everyday life.
  • At a stone bridge, Ah Yin asked Little Yi to see where she lived, and he initially refused because he thought she wanted to involve him in the war.
  • Ah Yin explained that she had only watched his life through the Blue Silver Network and wanted him to see hers, so Little Yi agreed to visit.

Ch. 78A Single Spark Can Set the Prairie Ablaze

Ah Yin showed Little Yi the medical unit she had established for Heaven Dou’s wounded and explained that she openly revealed herself as a hundred-thousand-year Soul Beast to help humans understand Soul Beasts. Little Yi affirmed that her efforts could help bring peace, calling them a spark that could set the prairie ablaze.

  • Ah Yin led Little Yi to her medical camp, where she treated wounded Heaven Dou soldiers with medicine and the Blue Silver Emperor’s life force.
  • Ah Yin explained that she had embroidered her identity as a Soul Beast on the camp flags and told the wounded who she was.
  • Ah Yin said she hoped that helping humans see Soul Beasts as feeling, compassionate beings would change how they treated them.
  • Little Yi recognized that Ah Yin had acted on his earlier words and thanked her for her hard work.
  • Ah Yin asked whether her work could bring peace between humans and Soul Beasts, and Little Yi solemnly said it could, like a spark setting the prairie ablaze.

Ch. 79Asura Eighth Trial

Tang San’s allies discussed their losses against Qian Renxue and concluded that only divine-level strength could turn the battle. When they considered how he might complete the Asura God Trial, the possibility of sacrificing Ah Yin to improve his Blue Silver Grass sparked a confrontation, which Tang San ended by vowing to defeat Qian Renxue without a second divine position.

  • Tang Xiao, Tang Hao, and the elders returned to the command tent after Qian Renxue’s attack had wounded them and devastated the allied vanguard.
  • Tang San explained that mortal fighters could not meaningfully assist him against Qian Renxue, whose divine power and control surpassed his own.
  • Tang Xiao asked whether Tang San could inherit the Asura divine position, and Tang San revealed that the Asura Eighth Trial required both martial souls to reach the top tier.
  • The Seventh Elder suggested asking Ah Yin how to advance Tang San’s Blue Silver King, prompting the elders to realize that this might threaten the sole Blue Silver Emperor.
  • Tang Hao erupted and threatened anyone who would harm Ah Yin, but the Second Elder stopped the argument before Tang San declared that he would master divine power and defeat Qian Renxue himself.

Ch. 80The Proposal of Sacrifice

Tang San was gravely wounded when Bibi Dong ambushed him, and the Sea God's Heart saved his life as the allied forces retreated. With the enemy now fielding two gods, the elders proposed that Ah Yin sacrifice herself to help Tang San inherit another divine position, and Tang Hao went to speak with her.

  • Bibi Dong emerged from a rift and pierced Tang San's heart while he fought Qian Renxue, then crushed it.
  • Chen Xin, Gu Rong, and Tang Xiao died fighting Bibi Dong and Qian Renxue, while Tang Hao rescued Tang San.
  • The Sea God's Heart entered Tang San's chest and preserved his life, allowing the allied forces to retreat.
  • Tang San explained that his two Martial Souls could bear separate divine powers, but his body needed to withstand both.
  • The Second Elder proposed that Ah Yin sacrifice herself and promised the elders would help her revive, but Tang San firmly rejected harming his mother.
  • Tang Hao said he would speak with Ah Yin and left the command tent.
