Arc 1Ah Yin’s Return

Su Yi nurtured Ah Yin, helped her reclaim her place as Blue Silver Emperor, and chose not to take the clan’s throne for himself. After they settled his family’s grievances in Heaven Dou City, he left her a memory-filled hairpin and departed, while Ah Yin’s recovered memories left their reunion tender but distant.

  • Su Yi discovered the Fate Simulation system, chose Ah Yin as his Fated One, and drew the Top-Tier Comprehension talent.
  • Su Yi escaped his family, improved his cultivation with immortal herbs, and eventually found Ah Yin’s seed in a cave and cared for her until she awakened.
  • Ah Yin guided Su Yi’s cultivation, and he developed new soul skills and the Breath Concealment Technique to help her survive transformation and conceal her identity.
  • Su Yi refused Ah Yin’s offer to become Blue Silver Emperor, and Ah Yin awakened his bloodline and formed a Life-bound Soul Ring before transforming into human form.
  • After Ah Yin emerged from her cocoon, Su Yi and Ah Yin went to Heaven Dou City, where they gathered evidence against the Mo and Liu families and secured justice without killing their children.
  • Su Yi sealed his memories and feelings for Ah Yin inside a hairpin, left it with a farewell note, and departed without looking back.
  • Ah Yin recovered her lost memories by merging with her former self, then reunited with Su Yi and accompanied him to Heaven Dou City, where she comforted him after he spared his enemies’ family.
Chapters 1–25 Vol. 1 Read

Ch. 1Fate Simulation

Su Yi awakened Blue Silver Grass with innate level-one soul power in Emperor Soul Village, then discovered a Fate Simulation system that let him choose Ah Yin as his Fated One. The simulation began with him drawing a legendary talent for top-tier comprehension.

  • Su Yuntao awakened the village children, and Su Yi manifested Blue Silver Grass with innate level-one soul power.
  • Su Yuntao tactfully told Su Yi that he had passable potential and might become a soul grandmaster.
  • Old Tom gave Su Yi his martial soul certificate and promised to take him to the Soul Master Academy.
  • At home, Su Yi discovered the Fate Simulation system and learned that a chosen Fated One would receive the simulation's memories.
  • Su Yi chose Ah Yin as his Fated One and drew the golden legendary talent Top-Tier Comprehension.

Ch. 2The first simulation

Su Yi read the first life simulation, which portrayed him as a precocious theorist and secret tycoon who later fled home and raided the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. The simulation ended with him leaving Dugu Bo advice and token compensation for the stolen herbs before departing Sunset Forest.

  • As a child, Su Yi wrote influential theories on soul master development and self-created soul skills under the name Lin Mo, then declined Spirit Hall’s invitation.
  • At age six, he awakened blue silver grass with innate rank-one soul power, prompting his parents to accuse each other and treat him as an outcast.
  • Su Yi secretly amassed wealth and founded an intelligence network, then ran away from home at age eight with his supplies stored in a rare soul tool.
  • At age nine, Su Yi used his intelligence network and an antidote to enter Dugu Bo’s Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well while Dugu Bo was away.
  • Su Yi consumed the infernal delicate apricot and octagonal mysterious ice grass, tempered his body in the spring, and raised his aptitude to innate rank seven and his soul power to rank twelve.
  • Before leaving, Su Yi took the remaining immortal herbs and supplies, left Dugu Bo earth dragon golden melons, Antidote Pills, and advice about his poison, and promised to repay the debt.

Ch. 3Vengeance for a Slaughtered Family? Nothing Much

Su Yi’s simulated self exposed Qian Renxue’s identity after his family was slaughtered and he was hunted, provoking enemies across Heaven Dou City and forcing him to flee south. He escaped his pursuers by hiding in a concealed cave behind a waterfall near Holy Soul Village, where he collapsed unconscious.

  • Su Yi’s simulated self chose to keep accumulating soul power without a soul ring, aiming to build a stronger foundation despite the risks.
  • After learning his family had been killed in a purge tied to Xue Qinghe, he initially abandoned revenge, but retaliated when the First Prince’s faction hunted him by exposing Qian Renxue’s identity and Spirit Hall’s plan.
  • Qian Renxue fled to Spirit City after her scheme was exposed, while the Heaven Dou Empire investigated the First Prince’s faction and Su Yi’s Intelligence Network was badly damaged.
  • Su Yi rejected Xue Beng’s offer and escaped Heaven Dou City as Xue Beng and other forces pursued him.
  • Su Yi fled through several regions to Nuoding City, then reached Holy Soul Village and found a hidden cave behind a waterfall.
  • Su Yi entered the cave and collapsed from exhaustion; his pursuers searched nearby but failed to discover the entrance and eventually left.

Ch. 4First Meeting with Ah Yin

Su Yi rescued the weakened Blue Silver Emperor, Ah Yin, from a cave and secretly raised her in a courtyard in the Star Luo Empire. After reaching rank nineteen and preparing to seek a Soul Ring, he discovered that Ah Yin had awakened and began asking about her past and how she came to be with him.

  • Su Yi recovered in a cave, found Ah Yin growing on a mound of earth, and transplanted her into prepared spirit soil.
  • Su Yi evaded watchers, left Nuoding City for the Star Luo Empire, and settled in a secluded courtyard where he nurtured Ah Yin with diluted spring water and herb essence.
  • Ah Yin gradually recovered, grew to three feet tall, and began gently wrapping her leaves around Su Yi’s fingers.
  • At eleven years old, Su Yi reached rank nineteen, prepared to hunt a Soul Beast for a Soul Ring, and arranged supplies and care for Ah Yin before leaving.
  • Ah Yin awakened, spoke into Su Yi’s mind, and asked who he was and where she was.
  • Su Yi introduced himself and told Ah Yin he had found her in a cave, then showed her his ordinary Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul.

Ch. 5Ancient Evergreen Vine

Su Yi and Ah Yin hunted an Ancient Evergreen Vine, and Su Yi absorbed its Soul Ring to gain a vitality-based First Soul Skill. Afterward, Ah Yin secretly tried to revive the vine, and Su Yi helped her nurture its buried remains.

  • Ah Yin explained that she had lost her memories after taking human form and described how her Blue Silver Emperor body could survive through Seed-Retaining Rebirth.
  • After observing Ah Yin for half a month, Su Yi accepted her guidance to develop his Blue Silver Grass toward the life attribute and took her to the Soul Beast Forest.
  • Ah Yin located an Ancient Evergreen Vine and explained its regenerative abilities, then helped Su Yi lure it with Immortal Herb Essence and expose its core.
  • Su Yi struck the Ancient Evergreen Vine's origin core, absorbed its yellow Soul Ring, and gained the Life Enhancement skill as his Soul Power Level reached twenty.
  • Su Yi discovered that Ah Yin had planted the Ancient Evergreen Vine's remains in a small mound, and he added Immortal Herb Essence to help it sprout again.

Ch. 6Self-created soul skills and the Zhou Tian Star Dou Art

After returning to town with Ah Yin, Su Yi developed the healing technique All Things Revive and spent three months creating the Zhou Tian Star Dou Art, which greatly accelerated his cultivation. When Ah Yin reached twelve thousand years and her power attracted danger, Su Yi gained a soul-draining second skill and set off with her for the Blue Silver Forest.

  • Su Yi reversed the vitality of Life Enhancement to heal himself and revive wilted grass, naming the technique All Things Revive.
  • Su Yi spent three months mapping meridian routes and drawing on stellar power to create the Zhou Tian Star Dou Art, which strengthened his body and spiritual power and let him cultivate five times faster.
  • By age thirteen, Su Yi had reached level twenty-nine, while Ah Yin’s cultivation rose to twelve thousand years and made her aura too conspicuous to hide.
  • Su Yi decided to take Ah Yin to the Blue Silver Forest, then killed a two-thousand-five-hundred-year Essence Devouring Vine and absorbed its soul ring.
  • Su Yi gained the second soul skill Essence Devouring Absorption, which let his Blue Silver Grass drain soul power from the air or those it touched.
  • Su Yi placed Ah Yin in a pot of spirit soil inside his Storage Soul Tool, packed his belongings, and set off with her for the Blue Silver Forest.

Ch. 7Blue Silver Ancestral Land

At fourteen, Su Yi brought Ah Yin to the Blue Silver Ancestral Land, where the Blue Silver King welcomed her return and the forest restored her cultivation. Ah Yin settled in the heart of her homeland and made a treehouse for Su Yi, where they began living together.

  • Su Yi arrived at the Blue Silver Forest with Ah Yin, whose roots awakened the forest’s ancient bloodline resonance.
  • The Blue Silver King greeted Ah Yin as his emperor, and the Blue Silver Grass offered its power until her cultivation reached fifty-five thousand years.
  • Ah Yin welcomed her subjects and introduced Su Yi as her sworn younger brother, thanking him for bringing her home.
  • The Blue Silver King led them to the Ancestral Land’s richest source of life, where Ah Yin planted her roots and began recovering.
  • Ah Yin asked Su Yi to stay beside her and wove a treehouse among the branches for them to live in.

Ch. 8Telling stories

As Ah Yin grew stronger in the ancestral grounds, Su Yi told her stories and tried to encourage her independence and sense of duty to her clan. Their bond deepened as he left her with the hope that he would help protect her and the Blue Silver Clan when she needed him.

  • Ah Yin grew more powerful in the ancestral grounds and became curious about human life, so Su Yi began telling her stories.
  • Su Yi told Ah Yin a version of "Legend of the White Snake," but changed its ending to avoid echoing her own past and reinforcing her romantic outlook.
  • Su Yi then told Ah Yin tales of resilient heroines from "Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio," hoping to turn her toward independence.
  • As the two spent their days together, their relationship grew closer, and Ah Yin asked Su Yi why his heroines had such difficult lives.
  • Su Yi praised Ah Yin as the future protector of her clan and promised to help protect both her and the Blue Silver Clan if she grew weary.

Ch. 9Breath Concealment Technique

At fifteen, you gained Myriad Forms Mimicry from a Formless Source Beast and used it to develop a technique for concealing a soul beast’s origin. After months of research and experimentation, you completed the Breath Concealment Technique, leaving Ah Yin’s path to safe transformation unresolved.

  • You hunted a nine-thousand-year Formless Source Beast with the Blue Silver King, absorbed its soul ring, and gained Myriad Forms Mimicry, which let your Blue Silver Grass take on varied shapes and properties.
  • You tested the skill by forming a blade, a shield, and wings, then showed Ah Yin that you could briefly fly.
  • Ah Yin reached eighty thousand years of cultivation, and you worried that she might not survive the hundred-thousand-year tribulation or conceal her identity after transforming.
  • You studied how soul beast origins formed and how transformed beasts retained theirs, then examined the concealment abilities of Shadow Snakes, Phantom Bone Lizards, and Thousand-Faced Foxes.
  • You adapted Myriad Forms Mimicry and the beasts’ concealment methods to develop a technique that wrapped your martial soul origin in a thin film of soul power.
  • After another half year of experimentation, you completed the Breath Concealment Technique and hid your aura beneath Ah Yin’s true body.

Ch. 10Gold Dragon Fish and Silver Dragon Fish

Su Yi gave Ah Yin a simplified Breath Concealment Technique to help hide her Soul Beast identity after transformation, while warning her through a story about the costs of rulers abandoning their people for love. Ah Yin wondered whether sharing the technique could protect other transformed Soul Beasts, but feared it would betray Su Yi and humanity.

  • Su Yi told Ah Yin an adapted tale of Nana and Linlin, arguing that Nana had repeatedly failed to fulfill her duty to the Sea Clan before choosing to die for love.
  • Ah Yin, nearing her hundred-thousand-year Heavenly Tribulation, admitted that transformation was her only chance to survive.
  • Su Yi gave Ah Yin a booklet containing the Transformation Breath Concealment Technique, which could mask her source aura and imitate a human Soul Master's Soul Power.
  • Su Yi explained that Ah Yin could temporarily release the membrane to form Soul Rings, then restore it without exposing her identity.
  • Ah Yin felt relieved that the technique could protect her after transformation, then worried that sharing it would strengthen Soul Beasts at humanity's expense and put Su Yi in the position of betraying his own people.

Ch. 11Humans and Soul Beasts

Su Yi persuaded Ah Yin that transformed soul beasts could bridge the divide between humans and soul beasts, and gave her books explaining his vision of coexistence. Ah Yin accepted the possibility of teaching the concealment technique to others, then kissed Su Yi before returning to her true body, while Tang Hao felt his head growing heavy as Tang San practiced nearby.

  • Ah Yin asked whether she could teach the Transformation Breath Concealment Technique to other soul beasts, and Su Yi told her she could share it freely.
  • Su Yi explained that humans and soul beasts should coexist, gave Ah Yin two books he had written, and described the value of protecting and learning from other species.
  • Ah Yin asked how humans could be brought to understand, and Su Yi proposed that transformed soul beasts could serve as bridges between the two peoples.
  • Su Yi told Ah Yin that transformation did not force her to choose between being human and being a soul beast, and she was deeply moved by his words.
  • Ah Yin kissed Su Yi on the cheek, then dissolved into blue motes and returned to her true body, leaving a tendril wrapped around his little finger.
  • At a waterfall gorge outside Nuoding City, Tang Hao scratched his head and told Tang San to continue practicing his hammer technique.

Ch. 12A ten-thousand-year fourth Soul Ring

At sixteen, Su Yi reached Soul Power rank forty-six and planned to seek a fourth Soul Ring that would protect his plant-based Martial Soul from lightning. Ah Yin recommended a defensive dragon Soul Beast, while Su Yi reflected on how knowledge and a coherent cultivation plan shaped a Soul Master’s potential.

  • Su Yi thought about Ah Yin’s affection and secretly wrote a second edition of his Blue Silver Emperor usage guide while continuing to cultivate.
  • Su Yi assessed the spiritual danger of absorbing a Ten Thousand Year Soul Ring and concluded his cultivation had prepared him to withstand the assault.
  • Su Yi chose lightning resistance as his fourth Soul Ring’s priority because lightning remained Blue Silver Grass’s fatal weakness.
  • Ah Yin said she had never heard of the Thunderclap Infernal Prison Vine but knew dangerous places where lightning gathered, then recommended the Dark Thunder Scale Armor Dragon.
  • Ah Yin explained that a beast Soul Ring could strengthen Su Yi’s body and improve his close-combat ability, even if a plant Soul Ring was usually more compatible.
  • Outside the simulator, Su Yi compared this reasoning with Yu Xiaogang’s plan for Tang San and concluded that cultivation depended on perspective and knowledge.

Ch. 13Blue Silver Armor Attachment

The protagonist lured a twenty-two-thousand-year Dark Thunder Scale Armor Dragon into a pit, drained its strength, and absorbed its Soul Ring after killing it. The absorption raised the protagonist to Soul Power Level forty-eight and granted the Fourth Soul Skill, Blue Silver Armor Attachment; the protagonist also found the dragon’s External Soul Bone and saved it to repay Dugu Bo.

  • Ah Yin located a Dark Thunder Scale Armor Dragon, and the protagonist declined her offer to have the Blue Silver King hunt it, choosing to test their combat skills instead.
  • The protagonist dug a concealed pit, provoked the dragon, and lured it into falling inside.
  • The protagonist drained the trapped dragon’s Soul Power with Essence Devouring Absorption, while the Blue Silver King restrained it when it prepared a final counterattack.
  • The protagonist killed the dragon and absorbed its Ten Thousand Year Soul Ring, overcoming its Soul Shock with the Star Chart and stellar power.
  • The protagonist reached Soul Power Level forty-eight, gained Blue Silver Armor Attachment, and found the dragon’s External Soul Bone.
  • The protagonist chose not to fuse with the hideous Soul Bone and sealed it away to settle the debt owed to Dugu Bo.

Ch. 14Myriad Forms Dragon Scale Armor

After recovering from the lightning left by his new Soul Ring, Su Yi developed a way to combine his four Soul Skill powers through Blue Silver Grass and created the Myriad Forms Dragon Scale Armor. Exhausted by the breakthrough, he fell asleep in a vine cradle woven by Ah Yin.

  • Ah Yin used her Blue Silver Domain to soothe the lingering lightning in Su Yi’s meridians as he recovered from Soul Hunting.
  • Su Yi tested combining Myriad Forms Mimicry with Blue Silver Armor Attachment, but Ah Yin pointed out that the armor was only two Soul Skills used together.
  • Su Yi struggled to merge the four powers, and Ah Yin calmed his backlash and encouraged him to keep exploring.
  • Su Yi realized Blue Silver Grass could accommodate conflicting attributes, then used it as a vessel to fuse his four Soul Skill powers.
  • Su Yi created and named the Myriad Forms Dragon Scale Armor, which could adapt its defenses and absorb Soul Power to repair itself.
  • Ah Yin lifted the exhausted Su Yi into a vine cradle, where he fell asleep as she watched over him.

Ch. 15The Blue Silver Emperor and the Coexistence of Two Emperors

Ah Yin offered Su Yi the chance to become a Blue Silver Emperor, but he hesitated over the responsibility and the precedent a human emperor could set for the Blue Silver Clan. After considering the clan’s past betrayals and future risks, Su Yi lay awake that night, still undecided.

  • Ah Yin told Su Yi that his Blue Silver Grass bloodline and years steeped in her origin aura could let him become a new Blue Silver Emperor if he absorbed her essence blood and earned the clan’s recognition.
  • Su Yi asked what would happen to Ah Yin, and she explained that they could coexist as Blue Silver Emperors, though she would relinquish the throne status and authority.
  • Su Yi weighed the benefits of the emperor’s power against the duty to protect the clan, recalling that Tang San and Tang Ya had both gained the title but failed to uphold their promises.
  • Su Yi worried that his becoming a human emperor might encourage the Blue Silver Clan to trust outsiders with its fate, as the Sky Dream Ice Silkworm had feared after the events involving Tang San and the soul beasts.
  • Outside the simulator, Su Yi reflected that the Blue Silver Emperor’s later agreement to become Tang Ya’s Soul Spirit may have been shaped by human pressure and Tang San’s precedent.
  • That night, Su Yi lay awake in the treehouse, unable to decide whether to accept Ah Yin’s offer.

Ch. 16Life-bound Soul Ring

Su Yi refused Ah Yin’s request to become the Blue Silver Emperor, arguing that the Blue Silver Clan’s future should not depend on an outsider’s goodwill, and encouraged her to claim the role herself. Ah Yin gave him a Life-bound Soul Ring formed from his own life origin, leaving him with a new soul ring that could grow alongside his cultivation.

  • Su Yi told Ah Yin he would not become the Blue Silver Emperor because humanity’s interests could one day conflict with the Blue Silver Clan’s survival.
  • Ah Yin admitted she wanted to stand beside Su Yi across the boundary between their races and feared she was not suited to lead her people.
  • Su Yi reassured Ah Yin that she was the right person to become the Blue Silver Emperor and promised to support her as family.
  • Ah Yin drew on her true body, the Blue Silver Domain, and the Ancestral Land to wrap Su Yi in a cocoon of Blue Silver Grass and vitality.
  • As the cocoon purified and healed Su Yi, a new black Ten Thousand Year Soul Ring formed from his life origin and settled around him as a Life-bound Soul Ring.

Ch. 17Blue Silver Reigned as King

After completing his bloodline awakening, the narrator learned that Ah Yin had begun transforming and that he was now the Blue Silver Clan’s prince. He tested his newly strengthened power, then gave the Blue Silver King Spirit Spring Water to help restore the depleted Ancestral Land while Ah Yin remained in her cocoon.

  • The Blue Silver King told the narrator that Ah Yin had used her essence blood and the Ancestral Land’s power to awaken his bloodline and condense a Life-bound Soul Ring, making him the clan’s rightful Prince.
  • The Blue Silver King explained that Ah Yin’s transformation would take a little over ten days because she would use her human aura to enter the mature stage directly.
  • The narrator examined his changes, found his Soul Power had reached level fifty-four, and summoned his transformed Blue Silver King Martial Soul and fifth Soul Skill, the Blue Silver Overlord Spear.
  • The narrator thanked the Blue Silver King and the clan for awakening him, then offered Spirit Spring Water from the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well to replenish the Ancestral Land’s vitality.
  • The Blue Silver King accepted the gift and led the Blue Silver Grass across the hills and fields in a solemn bow, pledging the clan’s support to the narrator.

Ch. 18Blue Silver Dragon-Devouring Spear

While guarding Ah Yin’s cocoon, the narrator refined the Blue Silver Overlord Spear into a powerful self-created weapon and learned how the Blue Silver Clan’s sovereign lineage began. The Blue Silver King explained that Ah Yin’s ancestor was the first sovereign and that the clan’s imperial bloodline continued through successive sovereigns.

  • The narrator reinforced the Blue Silver Overlord Spear with Blue Silver Armor Attachment and Myriad Forms Mimicry to improve its durability and flexibility.
  • The narrator combined Essence Devouring Absorption with the spear, creating a weapon that could drain an opponent’s Soul Power and vitality.
  • The narrator completed the Blue Silver Dragon-Devouring Spear and named it.
  • The narrator asked the Blue Silver King about the Blue Silver Clan’s past while Ah Yin remained in her cocoon.
  • The Blue Silver King explained that a hundred-thousand-year Blue Silver Grass could awaken the Blue Silver Domain, gather its kin, and become the clan’s first sovereign.
  • The Blue Silver King said that each sovereign’s standing and bloodline returned to the clan’s source, awaiting the next imperial-bloodline clansman to claim the throne.

Ch. 19Ah Yin Takes Human Form

The Blue Silver King told you of Ah Yin’s past, her sacrifice, and his doubts about the human Soul Master who had received it, then asked you to protect her when she returned to human society. On the fifteenth day, Ah Yin emerged from the cocoon and completed her transformation into human form.

  • The Blue Silver King explained that Ah Yin had left the Ancestral Land forty years earlier to avoid her hundred-thousand-year Heavenly Tribulation, and later returned with a human Soul Master.
  • The Blue Silver King said Ah Yin had died through a suicidal sacrifice, while you questioned why her seed had ended up in a barren cave and suggested investigating the Soul Master who had traveled with her.
  • The Blue Silver King declined to reopen the past and asked you to protect Ah Yin in the human world, and you promised to do your best.
  • On the fifteenth day, the cocoon burst into blue-gold light that renewed the Ancestral Land, and Ah Yin descended in human form.

Ch. 20Old memories surged like the tide

Ah Yin returned to human form with all her memories restored, leaving a quiet distance between her and the protagonist as they tried to resume life in the Blue Silver Ancestral Land. When he decided to leave for Heaven Dou City to settle old debts, Ah Yin asked to travel with him.

  • Ah Yin emerged in human form and instinctively stepped away when the protagonist tried to embrace her, then greeted him and the Blue Silver King.
  • Ah Yin resumed her duties as Blue Silver Emperor, while she and the protagonist maintained a tender but noticeably distant relationship.
  • The protagonist recalled their shared past as he lay awake in the treehouse, then prepared his belongings the next morning.
  • The protagonist told Ah Yin he was leaving for Heaven Dou City to settle his grievances and said he might return after traveling the continent.
  • Ah Yin asked to accompany him to Heaven Dou City, and the protagonist agreed.

Ch. 21Revenge in Heaven Dou City

At seventeen, the narrator reaches Heaven Dou City with Ah Yin to avenge his family, but spares the young children of his enemies and chooses to expose the clans’ crimes instead. After the Mo and Liu families are punished, he realizes he loves Ah Yin and fears their relationship will settle into friendship because of the past she cannot leave behind.

  • The narrator and Ah Yin arrive in Heaven Dou City, where Ah Yin uses her Blue Silver Domain to locate the Mo and Liu families and assess their strength.
  • The narrator approaches the families’ residences to take revenge but turns back after seeing the children, unable to kill them.
  • Ah Yin comforts the narrator, and he decides to pursue justice by gathering evidence of the clans’ crimes.
  • The narrator and Ah Yin compile evidence and distribute leaflets, prompting public outrage and Xue Ye to order the families arrested.
  • Seven days later, the principal offenders are publicly executed, their accomplices are exiled, and their assets are confiscated.
  • After witnessing the executions, the narrator recognizes his love for Ah Yin and fears they will become only family and friends.

Ch. 22A soul left in an azure hairpin, a nighttime farewell to Heaven Dou

Su Yi decided to leave Ah Yin after realizing he could not win her whole heart, and made a hairpin containing a fragment of his consciousness and feelings as his farewell gift. He left it beside a note and vanished into the night.

  • Su Yi resolved to withdraw from Ah Yin and use the Simulation to leave a lasting mark on her heart.
  • Su Yi crafted a pale azure hairpin from rare materials and set jadeite crystal marrow into it.
  • Su Yi painfully separated a fragment of his spiritual consciousness containing his memories and attachment to Ah Yin, then sealed it inside the hairpin.
  • Su Yi placed the hairpin and a farewell note in a jade box on Ah Yin’s bed.
  • Su Yi looked toward Ah Yin’s darkened room, then left without looking back.

Ch. 23My Name Is Ah Yin

Ah Yin recounted how she met and grew close to the human who nurtured her, and how he helped her reconcile her duties as Blue Silver Emperor with her approaching transformation. She gave him life-bound essence blood and a soul ring to transform his martial soul, then entered her transformation cocoon hoping to stand beside him as a human.

  • Ah Yin awoke with only a few thousand years of cultivation in a human's courtyard, where a child cared for her with immortal herb essence until she spoke to him and they became acquainted.
  • Ah Yin taught the child blue silver grass cultivation and accompanied him to hunt an Ancient Evergreen Vine, secretly planting a seed so it could grow again; he supported her effort.
  • Ah Yin returned with him to the Blue Silver Forest, where his stories and teachings deepened her trust in him and stirred feelings she kept hidden.
  • As Ah Yin neared her hundred-thousand-year tribulation, he gave her a Transformation Breath Concealment Technique and explained how transformed soul beasts could bridge humans and soul beasts.
  • Ah Yin wanted to make him inherit the Blue Silver Emperor throne, but he refused; she then gave him life-bound essence blood and used her subjects' power to create a Life-bound Soul Ring before entering her transformation cocoon.

Ch. 24Another Ah Yin

Ah Yin confronted the memories of her former self, who had sacrificed herself to protect her husband and child, and agreed to visit the child. Their consciousnesses merged, restoring Ah Yin’s lost memories and awakening the old Ah Yin’s tenderness and attachments within her.

  • Ah Yin met her former self in the sea of blue-gold light and recovered memories of her human life, marriage, childbirth, and sacrifice.
  • Ah Yin questioned why her former self had sacrificed herself and remained in the Cave, accusing her of making selfish choices for love.
  • Her former self said she had come only to ask Ah Yin to visit her child, and Ah Yin agreed.
  • Before merging with Ah Yin, her former self said she envied Ah Yin for meeting Su Yi.
  • The two versions of Ah Yin merged, restoring her lost memories and stirring the former self’s feelings of love and motherhood within her.

Ch. 25The rift

After her transformation, the narrator’s memories of another life kept her from reconnecting with Su Yi, and their growing distance followed them to Heaven Dou City. Seeing children at his enemy’s residence made her realize she might never be able to be with him, and she wondered whether she would soon have to leave.

  • The narrator recoiled from Su Yi when they reunited, and their relationship became courteous and distant as she struggled with her memories.
  • When Su Yi announced he was going alone to Heaven Dou City to settle an old grudge, the narrator insisted on accompanying him.
  • Their journey north deepened the distance between them as the narrator’s memories were stirred by sights of mortal life.
  • In Heaven Dou City, the narrator used her Blue Silver Domain to follow Su Yi as he scouted his enemy’s residence and saw children and a mother there.
  • After Su Yi returned without confronting his enemy, the narrator comforted him by laying her hand over his fist and feared she might soon leave him.
