Background / History
Kallen was born in 1453 as Francis Kaslana’s eldest daughter. A righteous but straightforward warrior, she passed the Kaslana trials and became captain of Heavenly Mandate’s anti-Honkai Valkyrie unit at sixteen. She was regarded as the organization’s strongest S-rank Valkyrie. 468
During Heavenly Mandate’s Eastern Expedition, Kallen brought Judas’s Oath to Shenzhou and was decisively defeated by the Chiyuan Immortal, Fu Hua. Fu Hua’s words—that Judas existed to protect humanity—left Kallen questioning what Heavenly Mandate truly protected. 181 2360
Kallen’s doubts became open rebellion after she witnessed Heavenly Mandate elders performing human experiments with Honkai energy. She stole a black box believed to be a dangerously unstable Honkai source, intending to prevent a catastrophic release in a city of more than a million people. Injured but still able to defeat more than ten pursuing Valkyries, she was eventually shot and fell into the sea. 468 469
Heavenly Mandate publicly branded her a thief whose actions prolonged the Black Death, turning the former “Shield of the People” into a wanted criminal across Europe. Kallen did not regret acting against the organization, believing that inaction would have cost more lives. 469 610
The black box actually contained the sealed Twelfth Herrscher. During the Far Eastern events, Kallen encountered Nocturne, a physically identical manifestation connected to the Serenade of the Sixth Night battlesuit. Kallen describes Nocturne as “another version” of herself, while the narrative identifies the battlesuit as a fragment of Kallen’s life rather than the original Kallen herself. 407 501 615
Appearance
Kallen is a white-haired, blue-eyed young woman. Her original body and Nocturne’s body are described as perfectly identical, including the placement of their moles. 2375
- White hair, often worn in a ponytail. 2364
- Blue eyes. 2375
- Appears around fifteen to sixteen years old despite the passage of years. 458
- As Phantom Violet, she wears a crow-like eye mask and dark blue attire associated with the Serenade of the Sixth Night outfit. 592 2398
Personality
Kallen is driven by an uncompromising belief that the strong must protect civilians. She is willing to defy Heavenly Mandate, endure persecution, and risk her own life rather than permit innocent people to suffer from Honkai or institutional cruelty. She also refuses to kill when avoidable, including when facing former comrades who have been sent to capture her. 468 515 601
Despite her status and combat ability, Kallen is simple, food-loving, and easily distracted by meals. Her apparent airheadedness does not extend to missions: she is cautious in combat, prepares detailed plans, and does not underestimate weak opponents. 591 2363
Abilities & Skills
S-rank Valkyrie Combat
Kallen was Heavenly Mandate’s only documented S-rank Valkyrie of her era and its strongest active warrior. Even while wounded, she defeated a squad of more than ten Valkyries during her escape. 468 581

- Allows Kallen to confront threats on the level of Herrschers. 608
- Its loss significantly weakened Heavenly Mandate’s assessment of Kallen during her rebellion. 585 591
