Background / History

Rita enters the slice-of-life world by replacing Rita Ainsworth, Shiina Mashiro’s English roommate and longtime caretaker. The original Rita Ainsworth had grown up painting alongside Mashiro, but Mashiro’s overwhelming talent drove her to abandon painting; despite this resentment, she still loved Mashiro and art. The current Rita assumes her identity and responsibility for Mashiro. 1860

As Rita Rossweisse, she is one of Heavenly Mandate’s three active S-rank Valkyries, vice-captain of the strongest Valkyrie squad, Blade of Immortality, and Bianca Durandal Attagina’s adjutant. Her current combat identity is Moon Soul, the prototype fourth-generation Valkyrie God Slayer Armor. 1862

She accompanies Mashiro from England to Japan, becoming her primary guardian, household caretaker, and creative partner. Before departing, Rita promises Mashiro’s mother that she will care for Mashiro. 1864
