Background and History

Childhood and Entry into the Body Sect

Long Aotian and Long Aoyu lost their parents when they were six and three respectively. Left on the streets, Long Aotian begged, carried goods, and ran errands for steamed buns and thin porridge. He fed his younger brother while going hungry himself, repeatedly insisting that he was not hungry 12 36.

Du Busi encountered the brothers in a small town and brought them into the Body Sect. He took both as direct disciples and raised them with the care of a father. Their shared hardship remained central to the brothers’ close relationship 36 97.

Arrival in the Earlier Era

Long Aotian traveled through space and time with the entire Body Sect, arriving in the Heaven Dou Empire twelve years before the Battle of Jialing Pass. His first concern after the upheaval was checking that Long Aoyu was unharmed 1.

He later accompanied Du Busi, Long Aoyu, Vina, and the elders to Sunset Forest. There, immortal herbs raised his cultivation to level sixty and strengthened the physical foundation of his Skin Martial Soul 13 17.

Suotuo City and Xiao Wu’s Sacrifice

In Suotuo City, Long Aotian bought a hairpin that Vina had chosen after Ning Rongrong attempted to take it. When Ning Rongrong tried to seize his arm, Vina slapped her and identified him as her fiancé. The ensuing confrontation escalated into a fight with Ning Rongrong’s guards; Long Aotian overpowered two Soul Emperors and subsequently beat another to death 26 27 28.

At Shrek Academy, he snapped Dai Mubai’s index finger after Dai Mubai insulted Zhu Zhuqing. Chen Yuan then subdued Shrek’s staff and captured Tang San and Xiao Wu 34.

Long Aoyu offered Xiao Wu’s Soul Ring and Soul Bone to his elder brother. Long Aotian initially suggested saving them for Long Aoyu and admitted that his own body could not withstand an ordinary hundred-thousand-year ring absorption. Long Aoyu insisted that a sacrifice was an exceptional opportunity and that the ring should belong to him 36.

Jin Peng and Chen Yuan coerced Xiao Wu into sacrificing herself by threatening Tang San’s life. After they swore not to harm Tang San unless he provoked the Body Sect, she agreed. Her sacrifice raised Long Aotian to level sixty-five and supplied his sixth Soul Ring and left arm Soul Bone 36.

Strength Clan Conflict

Tang Hao ordered Tai Tan to capture Long Aotian or kill him and retrieve Xiao Wu’s Soul Bone. Tai Tan and four Strength Clan Soul Emperors intercepted Long Aotian, Mo Chen, and Su Lian outside Wulan City after their visit to Body Academy 66 67 68.

Long Aotian killed two of the Soul Emperors with Mad God Slash, while his companions killed the other two. He then challenged Tai Tan directly but was badly outmatched by the rank-86 strength specialist. After being struck and injured, he used Teleportation and Invincible Golden Body to protect his companions, then enclosed all three inside a Level Eight Absolute Defense Barrier 68.

Elder Zhou and the Body Sect’s protectors arrived, subdued Tai Tan, and returned him to the sect. Long Aotian later joined the punitive expedition against the Strength Clan. Despite pleas that the other clan members had known nothing about Tai Tan’s ambush, he rejected mercy and ordered everyone killed 69 71.

Tournament Duties and Divine Trial

As the tournament team’s vice-captain, Long Aotian planned to lead the preliminaries while giving Zhu Zhuqing, Huo Wu, and the other reserve members experience. He also visited Body Academy to inspect promising recruits for the reserve team 67 87.

Du Busi subsequently tried to give him the Sea God inheritance, but Long Aotian resisted accepting it in his master’s place. During their argument, the God of Devastation selected Long Aotian as his own successor, leaving the Sea God inheritance for Du Busi 97 99.

His First Trial required him to create a combat technique within six months. He remained behind to work on it, and he and Long Aoyu selected Vina to lead the tournament qualifiers instead. Even after the technique was nearly complete, he continued refining it until satisfied 99 121 148.

He completed the trial by creating Four Symbols Return to Origin and reached rank seventy through its rewards. Learning that Long Aoyu had already reached rank seventy-five and was condensing a Soul Core spurred him to seek his seventh Soul Ring immediately 149.

Thunderclap Giant Python Hunt

Jin Peng accompanied Long Aotian to the Star Dou Great Forest. After Chen Yuan restrained the wounded Thunderclap Giant Python, Long Aotian killed it and began absorbing its hundred-thousand-year Soul Ring 150 153.

Unlike Xiao Wu’s sacrifice, this absorption subjected him to the beast’s violent energy and remnant soul. He simultaneously absorbed its right leg Soul Bone, a process Chen Yuan estimated would require at least seven or eight days 153 154.

Xiong Jun ordered a forest-wide search, eventually forcing Chen Yuan to leave the valley’s barrier and confront powerful approaching beasts. Vina defended the still-absorbing Long Aotian from the horde despite repeated injuries. Long Aoyu arrived as a forty-thousand-year Black-Backed Fierce Tiger was about to kill her 153 155.

Appearance

Long Aotian is a tall, straight-backed youth whose height makes him conspicuous among his peers 1.

• Hair: Long, reddish-brown hair falling over his shoulders 149.
• Bearing: A sharp, unapproachable air toward strangers 1.

Personality

Long Aotian is deeply protective of his younger brother. His childhood willingness to starve so Long Aoyu could eat continues in his readiness to offer him rare cultivation opportunities. With family and trusted companions, he is affectionate and playful, frequently joining Vina in teasing Long Aoyu about Zhu Zhuqing 10 36 57.

He is proud and confrontational toward outsiders. Rather than retreat from Tai Tan, he answered the stronger opponent’s attack head-on, a decision that left him injured. His hostility can also become ruthless: he personally ordered the Strength Clan’s extermination despite its members’ pleas of ignorance 68 71.

His relationship with Vina exposes a more yielding side. He accepts being teased as “henpecked” and quickly backs down when she scolds him for reckless behavior 56 69.

Long Aotian is competitive without losing affection for his brother. He hopes to regain a cultivation lead over Long Aoyu, while his prolonged refinement of Four Symbols Return to Origin shows an insistence on improving his own work rather than merely satisfying the trial’s minimum requirement 148 149.

Abilities and Skills

Skin Martial Soul and Silver-Grade Second Awakening

His Skin Martial Soul supports a close-range fighting style built around physical reinforcement, blocking, punches, and elbow strikes 1 27.
