Background / History

Leadership before the Transmigration

After the previous sect master, Du Bisou, died following his great battle with Mu En, Du Busi alone upheld the Body Sect’s standing. He brought Long Aoyu and Long Aotian into the sect, accepted them as direct disciples, and raised them with the devotion of a father 56 97.

When the entire Body Sect and its canyon were displaced, Du Busi was already a rank 98 Super Douluo. He silenced the panicking elders, then accepted Long Aoyu’s proposal to send scouts into nearby settlements. Their investigation established that the sect had arrived ten thousand years in the past, during Bibi Dong’s tenure as Pope 1 2.

Establishing the Body Sect in the Past

Du Busi sought cooperation with Spirit Hall through exchanges of Body Tempering Pills for resources and assistance locating Body Martial Soul cultivators. He also approved dedicated Soul Tool production, assigning Liu Mo and seven other disciples to manufacture tools in exchange for sect contribution points 4 6.

Acting on Long Aoyu’s reminder that the Shrek Seven Devils’ immortal herbs might remain unclaimed, he mobilized most of the sect to search for them. Meanwhile, he personally accompanied Long Aoyu to obtain his fifth Soul Ring and subdued a sixty-thousand-year Dark Demon Evil God Tiger for him 6 7.

On their return journey, master and disciple rescued the gravely injured Zhu Zhuqing. Du Busi later assured her that she could remain with the Body Sect rather than return to the Star Luo Empire 9 13.

The Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well

Du Busi led an expedition through Dugu Bo’s poison formation and claimed the mature immortal herbs at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. After intimidating Dugu Bo with his three hundred-thousand-year Soul Rings, he recruited him as a guest elder by offering help with the poison backlash afflicting both him and Dugu Yan 14 15.

He selected medicinal treasures suited to the group’s Martial Souls, including the Blue Fall Yellow Springs Fruit for Dugu Yan, Silver Frost Listening Sound Grass for Elder Wei, and Blazing Sun Fire Dragon Vine for Elder Zhao. Although the elders wanted him to cultivate first, Du Busi guarded them while they refined their herbs. Only after their strength increased did he entrust sect administration to Jin Peng and enter seclusion to pursue rank 99 20 21.

Breakthrough and Alliance with Spirit Hall

During his seclusion, Bibi Dong led an attack on the Body Sect. Du Busi instructed Jin Peng to let her group leave while he continued condensing his second Soul Core. After becoming a Limit Douluo, he went to Spirit City alone to demonstrate the sect’s strength without provoking an all-out war 41 44 47.

He publicly pinned Bibi Dong beneath a dark-green palm and fought Qian Daoliu. His dual cores, golden-level second awakening, and Body Sect techniques allowed him to prevail even after Qian Daoliu borrowed Angel Divine Power 48 49 50.

The confrontation ended in an alliance rather than war. Qian Daoliu agreed to remove Bibi Dong as Pope and have Spirit Hall notify the Body Sect whenever children awakened Body Martial Souls 50.

Expansion and Disciple Training

With the alliance secured, Du Busi dispatched recruitment teams to find all 159 people recorded as awakening Body Martial Souls in the Star Luo Empire over the previous twenty years. He also ordered purchases of undervalued whale rubber, rare metals, and medicinal herbs 51.

He supervised Long Aoyu’s dangerous body tempering at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, sealing his Soul Power so that he had to endure the environment through his flesh alone. Long Aoyu eventually achieved a direct golden-level second awakening and received the Evil God King’s inheritance; Du Busi informed the elders but ordered them to keep the news secret 51 53 54 56.

Du Busi later gravely wounded both the Titan Giant Ape and Sky Azure Bull Python with a single palm strike. He reserved the captured python’s Soul Ring and Soul Bone for whichever of four rank 89 guardians reached rank 90 first; Shi Cang ultimately received them 60 62 87.

He also supported Long Aoyu’s tournament plans by seeking Qian Daoliu’s help, ordered the Clear Sky Sect surrounded with a three-day ultimatum for Tang Hao, and commissioned adaptations of the Clear Sky Nine Absolutes and Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer for Body Martial Souls 63 74 84.

Sea God Inheritance

When Long Aoyu identified the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud as the Sea God’s Inheritance Token, Du Busi initially insisted that Long Aotian should receive the opportunity. Only after the God of Devastation chose Long Aotian did Du Busi become the Sea God’s successor 96 97 99.

On Sea God Island, Bo Saixi welcomed him as the successor, the Seven Sacred Pillars resonated, and the island’s inhabitants and sea beasts bowed. He began the First Test immediately and reached step 881 under double Sea God’s Light, then vowed to reach the 1,001-step summit within half a year 108 109.

After learning of Shiming’s talent, Du Busi interrupted his island training to accept the boy as his final disciple. With permission to bring roughly a dozen people for divine examinations, he selected seven elders, including Gui Mei, to accompany him alongside Shiming 126 127. His care for his disciples outweighs his personal ambition. Despite gaining a chance at godhood, his first instinct is to give it to Long Aotian. With Long Aoyu, he alternates teasing reprimands and light physical scolding with pride, concern, and delight at the boy’s achievements 4 52 56 97.

He enjoys powerful opponents and becomes increasingly exhilarated during his battle with Qian Daoliu, even after being wounded. Nevertheless, he distinguishes a show of strength from a destructive war and accepts cooperation when it benefits the sect 47 49 50.

His generosity is strongest within his own circle. Against Dugu Bo’s objections to surrendering his herbs, he invokes the principle that the strong prey on the weak; after recruiting him, he becomes warmer and provides rewards and assistance 14 15 18.
