"You fat bastard, you're exactly who I'm insulting! And you, bushy beard-you look forty or fifty already. Can your body even take it?"
Lin En folded his arms and sneered, his eyes full of mockery.
"They say Shrek is a swindlers' academy, and now I see they weren't lying. Not just swindlers, but a bunch of old whoremongers too."
"Spineless rats. Shrek really is a bunch of cowards. You dare do it but won't admit it-just like rats in a gutter. Disgusting."
At those words, the three from Shrek instantly turned livid with anger.
Ma Hongjun was the first to lose his restraint. He pointed at Lin En. "Your mother's %^*&..."
Rather than getting angry at his filthy language, Lin En burst out laughing:
"Getting worked up, are we? I hit a sore spot, and now you're biting anyone in reach."
"A bunch of trash. I could drown you all with my spit. Shrek, you cowards!"
Lin En gave a wicked grin, raised his thumb, then sharply turned it downward.
Oscar and Dai Mubai could stand it no longer. Both joined the fray, an endless stream of filthy abuse spilling from their mouths.
And Lin En?
He kept sneering, even cupping a hand around his ear and tilting it toward them, as though telling them to speak louder...
Watching from the side, Zhu Zhuqing was utterly dumbfounded!
Just what kind of deep-seated grudge did this fellow have against Shrek to make him hurl such unbearable abuse?
Seeing the hostile looks on the three men's faces, Zhu Zhuqing moved closer to Lin En, tugged his sleeve, and whispered:
"Maybe... that's enough? Fighting is forbidden in Suotuo City. It'll be trouble if the Spirit Hall soldiers show up!"
"What do you mean, enough? I'm just getting into it!"
Lin En flicked his sleeve, shaking off Zhu Zhuqing's hand. "You Shrek cowards! Fuck eighteen generations of your ancestors, you useless pieces of trash!"
Seeing Zhu Zhuqing so close to Lin En, on top of hearing him curse them and Shrek, Dai Mubai's gaze turned vicious enough to kill.
"Hey, you! Do you dare come outside the city and fight us?"
Dai Mubai stared darkly at Lin En, then glanced at Zhu Zhuqing, disappointment flashing through his eyes.
"I won't fight. Raising a hand against useless cowards like you would be beneath me!"
Lin En snorted, the corners of his mouth curling upward.
Arrogant!
So fucking arrogant!
Ma Hongjun and Oscar clenched their fists, their eyes practically spitting fire.
"I think you're just afraid. 'Spineless rat' suits you much better."
Dai Mubai laughed loudly, trying to goad Lin En into fighting the three of them.
"Hahaha! How could sparrows understand the ambitions of a swan?"
"You can only throw your weight around in this tiny Suotuo City, and you actually think you're somebody?"
Lin En roared with laughter, mockery written all over his face.
"This so-called Shrek is nothing but an academy of swindlers set up by a bunch of failures. The teachers are trash, and the students are even worse!"
"Especially you lot, with your shifty brows, rat eyes, and skulking faces. What part of you looks like students?"
Lin En pointed at the three of them, picking them apart:
"Only twelve or thirteen, and already visiting brothels, wallowing in wine, women, and pleasure. Do you really think you're princes? Hahaha..."
Zhu Zhuqing wanted to cover her face. Did this fellow Lin En really have nobody he knew?
He was far too bold. Wasn't he afraid someone would throw a sack over his head?
"You're courting death..."
"White Tiger, possess me!"
A sinister gleam flashed through Dai Mubai's eyes. Intense white light suddenly erupted from his body, his muscles swelling as his blond hair turned black and white.
Three gleaming Soul Rings rose from beneath his feet in succession, two yellow and one purple. As his Soul Power circulated, its surging force swept toward them like waves of pressure.
"Ptooey..."
Lin En spat. "What kind of trash are you, putting on airs in front of me?"
"Sageross, come out!"
A wicked grin appeared on Lin En's face. Before his words had faded, a streak of green light shot from his body and stood between the two sides.
As Sageross appeared, he towered in the street like a small mountain. His overwhelming pressure instantly snuffed out Dai Mubai's little splash and surged back at him.
"Ugh..."
For the first time, Dai Mubai suffered a crushing defeat in a contest of Soul Power pressure, and his Soul Power suffered considerable backlash as well.
"Trash. You can't even withstand a wisp of my Martial Soul's aura."
Lin En sneered. "Sageross, Lone Moon Flash! Attack all three!"
"Saa-"
Sageross let out a low roar, his dark red eyes instantly brightening, his gaze filled with murderous intent and fighting spirit.
He raised the Death God Twin Scythes, a dazzling cold gleam lighting up their shimmering tips.
The next moment, Sageross swung both arms in a slash. Energy condensed into a lone, cold arc of light that cut diagonally toward the three.
"Get out of the way!"
Dai Mubai's expression changed. He reached out and shoved Ma Hongjun and Oscar aside as his first Soul Ring lit up.
A white protective barrier formed before him, blocking the powerful blow.
"A sneak attack! How despicable!"
Ma Hongjun was furious. The heat that had only just subsided flared up again.
"Phoenix, possess me!"
Purplish-red light surged from his body. His already ball-shaped figure grew even fatter, like an old hen squatting in its nest.
"Haha! A phoenix? You?"
"What phoenix is that fat? Look at that pointy mouth and those monkey cheeks. Whichever way I look, you're just a barnyard chicken!"
Those words were like a touch to Ma Hongjun's reverse scale. He flew into a rage. "Who are you calling a barnyard chicken?"
The next moment, he raised both hands, and his two yellow Soul Rings suddenly lit up. He opened his mouth wide and spat a thin stream of purplish-red flame toward Lin En.
"Heh, a paltry trick. With that little energy, are you trying to tickle me?"
Lin En scoffed. Before he could say anything else, Sageross raised his blade and cut the flames apart.
At the sight, Ma Hongjun's fat cheeks trembled, and shock flashed through his eyes.
Just where did this fellow come from? How was he so strong?
Lin En smiled disdainfully. "Trash. I can't be bothered playing with you anymore."
"Sageross, end this boring farce. Teach them a lesson they'll remember. Use Twin-Blade Light!"
"Saa-"
Sageross raised both blades high, their tips gleaming coldly once more. Then a powerful beam of energy shot out, the blade light resembling two crossing crescent moons as it tore through the air and shot straight at the Shrek trio.
"Let's go!"
Seeing this, Lin En lingered no longer.
After showing off, it was time to run, before Flender and Zhao Wuji came to settle the score.
Time to run, brothers! Time to run!
He grabbed Zhu Zhuqing's arm and leaped onto Sageross's back.
Before Spirit Hall's law enforcement personnel arrived, they soared into the blue sky and vanished into the clouds in the blink of an eye.
"Damn you... just you wait! I won't forget what happened today!"
Dai Mubai clutched his chest. The Twin-Blade Light had sliced a huge gash across it, and blood kept spurting out.
Even the White Tiger Protection Barrier had failed to remain intact, hacked apart by sheer force.
