Still clapping, Lan Susu glanced back and rolled her eyes at him. "Aren't you just praising yourself in a roundabout way?"
"Of course not. Normally, I'd praise myself outright. Why go to all that trouble?"
Lin En beamed.
"You really are thick-skinned..."
Lan Susu's mouth twitched, her expression somewhat helpless. Just what sort of environment could have produced such a specimen?

After the freshman assessment ended, Zhu Zhuqing came over to Lin En.
"How does winning feel? Isn't it wonderful?"
Seeing the smile on her face, Lin En's lips curled slightly as he spoke in an obnoxiously teasing tone.
"Yes, it feels fantastic!"
Zhu Zhuqing clenched her fists, her face full of exhilaration and excitement.
