Life in Star Dou Great Forest

Wang Qiu'er originally lives as the Three-Eyed Golden Lion, the forest's Auspicious Beast, under the supervision of its powerful Ferocious Beasts. She regards Di Tian, Xiong Jun, and Zi Ji as family elders and has almost never ventured outside the forest. Her encounter with Huo Yuhao sparks her desire to take human form and enter the human world 2 7 10.

Meeting Luo Feng and Entering Shrek

Luo Feng finds her transforming near the central lake, stops time, and carries her away. After time resumes, she struggles in his arms and is dropped during their flight down a mountainside. Still unused to walking on two legs, she falls; Luo Feng shields her from the rocks, and their tumble results in an accidental first kiss 1.

Not understanding what a girlfriend is, she accepts Luo Feng's demand that she “take responsibility” for the kiss, on the condition that he bring her to Shrek Academy. When Di Tian searches for the missing Auspicious Beast, she conceals herself and Luo Feng with golden light, allowing them to escape his probing 2.

At Shrek, Yan Shaozhe recognizes her rare Golden Dragon Martial Soul. Mu En grants both newcomers special admission to the Inner Court and assigns them a double room after she insists on staying with Luo Feng 4.

During the Holy Spirit Cult's attack, Luo Feng asks her to protect Ma Xiaotao. Wang Qiu'er kills a Soul Saint attacker with her Golden Dragon Spear, but the dormitory then attracts the attention of Feng Ling, the cult's vice leader. After the attack is repelled, Wang Qiu'er becomes distressed over Luo Feng's apparent exhaustion and asks that they never be separated again 5 7.

Dragon Valley and Her Family's Approval

After their relationship becomes intimate, Luo Feng brings Wang Qiu'er into Dragon Valley. She recognizes the Golden Dragon lineage there, resumes her beast form, and receives an inheritance from the dragon souls. The visit raises her to Soul Saint and gives her direct contact with the Dragon Clan's ancestors 8 9.

She tells Luo Feng that the ancestors want more people connected to the Dragon Clan brought into the valley. She also expresses a wish to have a dragon child with him and persuades him to visit her family, suggesting Zi Ji as a less intimidating first meeting than Di Tian 9.

Their return initially goes badly: Zi Ji attacks Luo Feng, leaving Wang Qiu'er caught between two people she loves. Once Luo Feng brings them into Dragon Valley, Wang Qiu'er guides Zi Ji toward her ancestor, helping resolve the misunderstanding 10 11 12.

Wang Qiu'er subsequently encourages Luo Feng to accept Zi Ji as another partner. Gu Yuena later explicitly approves both women's relationships with him, removing Wang Qiu'er's concern about Di Tian's opposition 13 15.

Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well Expedition

Gu Yuena sends Wang Qiu'er, Luo Feng, and Zi Ji to retrieve the Ice Dragon King and Fire Dragon King's remains. During the journey, Wang Qiu'er detects hostile followers. When Ma Xiaotao joins the group and confesses to Luo Feng, Wang Qiu'er accepts her despite some jealousy and later mediates tension between the two other women 16 17 18.

At the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, she explains their purpose to the Immortal Herbs and supports hearing the Aromatic Silk Beauty's proposed trial. The resulting Red Love Net restrains all four travelers and removes their weapons. She leaves with Zi Ji and Ma Xiaotao only after Luo Feng assures her that he has a plan 19 21.

After Luo Feng relocates the well into Dragon Valley, Wang Qiu'er welcomes Ma Xiaotao inside. When Da Ming and Er Ming arrive, she recognizes their beast cries; following their defeat, she and Zi Ji urge Luo Feng to kill them as traitors 22 23 26.

A Home Outside Shrek

Wang Qiu'er and Zi Ji rent a courtyard outside Shrek Academy. Wang Qiu'er later brings pastries to Ma Xiaotao's residence and invites both her and Luo Feng to visit their new home 27 29.

When Huo Yuhao requests help finding Da Ming and Er Ming, Wang Qiu'er suspects that either he or Wang Dong has ties to Sea God Tang San. She accompanies Luo Feng's party into the forest and points Xiong Jun toward the fleeing pair as part of Luo Feng's plan to investigate Tang San's intentions 30 31.

Appearance

• Human form: Resembles an eighteen-year-old young woman and stands over 1.7 meters tall; her actual age is not established 2 10.
• Hair: Blue-and-gold 13.
• Distinguishing features: Large, innocent-looking eyes and small canine teeth visible when she smiles 1 9.

Personality

Initially sheltered and inexperienced, Wang Qiu'er is curious about human life but unfamiliar with romance, travel, and even movement in her new human body. She does not know what “girlfriend” means and can conceal herself from Di Tian without knowing which direction to flee. Despite her upbringing, she has a rebellious streak and willingly helps Luo Feng evade her guardians 1 2.

Her attachment to Luo Feng becomes intensely protective. She fears losing him after the Holy Spirit Cult attack, defends him when Xiong Jun examines him, and tries to intervene when Zi Ji attacks. Her innocence does not prevent decisive violence: her spear strike against a Soul Saint is fast, precise, and lethal 5 7 10 11.

She becomes increasingly playful and socially confident, teasing Luo Feng about Ma Xiaotao and later helping him manage relationships within their household. Although capable of jealousy, she accepts Zi Ji and Ma Xiaotao as fellow partners and actively defuses conflict between them. By the later forest expedition, she shares Luo Feng's mischievous enjoyment of his schemes 8 13 17 18 29 31.
