"Third Brother! Look! These fragments are almost exactly the same size!"
Tang San nodded, growing ever more eager to learn the Iron-Armed Azure Ape's unique way of generating force.
Any high-level Soul Master could smash a wooden stump, but breaking one into evenly sized fragments like this with fists alone required the aid of a special Martial Soul.
Yet the Iron-Armed Azure Ape had used technique! That meant that if he learned it, he would gain another ability beyond his Martial Soul!
He had brought the knowledge of the Tang Sect with him, and no one knew better than he did how far ahead of his peers that knowledge had kept him throughout his childhood. Now that he had a chance to master another ability, how could Tang San not be excited?
"Xiao Wu, let's go pay our respects to our new teacher." Tang San's eyes shone as he looked in the direction the Iron-Armed Azure Ape had gone.
"Are we going together?" Xiao Wu looked at Tang San with some concern.
"Don't worry. I'm half Soul Beast too, and my mother and uncle are both here. Even if our teacher really gets angry, we won't be in danger." Taking Xiao Wu's hand, Tang San hurried after the ape.
But as they drew near, the Iron-Armed Azure Ape suddenly turned around.
"Roar!"
A foul-smelling blast of air forced Tang San and Xiao Wu to stop.
"Third Brother, do they dislike us?"
Tang San thought for a moment, then told Xiao Wu, "Take off the Lovesick Heartbreak Red first. It might be masking your Soul Beast aura, leaving him too wary of us."
"All right."
Xiao Wu handed Tang San the Lovesick Heartbreak Red pinned behind her and, for the first time, deliberately released the Soul Beast part of her aura.
