Returning to Manhattan, taking over the Baxter Building
The eerie blue portal to the Negative Zone sliced a smooth gash through the air.
Lynn stepped out, his military boots making a dull, crisp sound as they landed on the gleaming marble floor of the top floor of the Baxter Building. The central climate control system blew out a cool, dry breeze, instantly dispelling the stench of rainwater brought back from the ruins.
He casually took off his black leather trench coat, which was covered in mud and blood, and threw it on the smart clothes rack next to him.
"Snap."
With the Snap, the light-sensitive panels outside the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows on the top floor receded layer by layer. The dazzling neon lights of Manhattan crashed into Lynn's view without reservation, a dazzling and intoxicating spectacle.
This is one of the tallest and most advanced buildings in New York. It was once the symbol of the Fantastic Four and a technological Bastion that Reed Richards was proud of.
Now, it is Lynn's private property.
Susan pushed the Invisible Force Field operating table containing Natasha and stepped out of the portal. She didn't even bother to wipe the wet blonde hair sticking to her cheeks. She walked a few steps to Lynn's side, bowed slightly, and her blue eyes surged with a fanatical, morbid desire for credit.
"Master, the building has been thoroughly cleaned." Susan's voice trembled slightly with excitement. "Reed and the other two pieces of trash have had their access to the Source Code stripped away. I broke Ben's legs, burned Johnny Storm's sports car, and kicked Reed out the front door like a piece of trash."
She raised her hand and presented a silver metal plate with a special pattern to Lynn with both hands.
"The entire Baxter Building, along with the cutting-edge laboratories on the twelfth basement level, the 372 undisclosed patent keys, the independent satellite network, and the Negative Zone Energy Matrix that Stark Industries covets..." Susan licked her lips, her gaze fixed on Lynn's profile with fascination, "Now, they only recognize your bio-iris."
Lynn took the metal plate and ran his fingertips along the cool, metallic texture.
Cool.
The feeling of Magpie Takes Over the Nest Earth's most advanced technological assets without bloodshed is incredibly addictive. While Nick Fury is still playing dirty tricks on him for a few Mutants assassins, he has already reached into the very core of Marvel's technological tree.
With this building, he was no longer a "low-level agent" who could only rely on women for protection, but a behind-the-scenes strategist with the ability to mass-produce troops and conduct research and development.
Lynn walked to the center of the hall and unceremoniously sat down in the leather head seat that originally belonged to Reed. He crossed his legs, his back sinking into the soft leather, and his deep black eyes swept over Susan.
"Well done," Lynn said.
Those four words alone made Susan's breathing become heavy. A flush of excitement rose on her fair neck, and she even wanted to kneel down immediately and kiss the tips of Lynn's boots.
But the next second, a blinding red light burst out from inside the portal.
Wanda stepped out in her high heels. Scarlet Chaos Particles danced irritably at her fingertips. Her possessive eyes Time Lock onto Lynn, who sat in the main seat, and then her gaze swept like a knife towards Susan, who was sitting very close by.
"Stay away from him, you blonde old woman." Wanda sneered and walked to the sofa without any politeness, sitting down next to Lynn's armrest.
She glanced disgustedly around the minimalist, high-tech hall, and the red light from her fingertip sliced up a multi-million dollar analyzer next to her.
"Cold, lifeless junk. Darling, this tasteless place is unworthy of you." Wanda leaned closer to Lynn, her red lips almost touching his earlobe. "I will use magic to completely transform it, turning it into a manor that belongs only to the two of us."
"You dare touch a single brick here?" Susan whirled around, her Invisible Force Field drawing a piercing shriek through the air.
She had poured all her resources into giving Lynn, how could she possibly tolerate this Sokovia Witch interfering in her affairs?
"This is my territory, dedicated to my master! Every network cable, every pane of glass bears his name!" Susan met Wanda's gaze without flinching, her blue eyes gleaming with a possessive fierceness. "You crazy juggler, what practical value can you offer your master besides destruction?"
"Value?" Wanda's red glint intensified instantly, and the gravity in the hall began to twist eerily. "I can twist your head off and stuff it into your stomach in a second. That's my value!"
The air temperature dropped sharply.
Two Skyfather-level energies collided violently on the top floor of the Baxter Building. The high-transparency glass creaked under the strain, and the coffee cup on the table shattered instantly, the brown liquid being crushed into powder by the Force Field before it even hit the ground.
Lynn sat in the main seat, not saying a word to stop them, but coldly watching the two women draw their swords over him.
He knew very well that putting these extremely obsessive and possessive women under the same roof was like stuffing several nuclear bombs into an iron box. Territorial disputes were inevitable.
"Hiss--"
From the shadows of the ceiling, a very faint sound of Silk being spitting out suddenly came.
Gwen Stacy was now hanging upside down from the Load-Bearing Beam directly above Lynn's head. Her White Suit was faintly visible in the darkness, and she was toying with a spider Silk Dagger coated with high-voltage Bioelectricity, with eerie blue arcs of electricity flickering on its blade.
"Have you two finished arguing?" Gwen Stacy's voice was clear, yet it carried an undisguised, morbid obsession. "Since this is Lynn's building, the high ground belongs to me. Anyone who dares to step within ten meters of Lynn's bedroom, I'll sever their carotid artery."
As soon as she finished speaking, Wanda and Susan's murderous intent simultaneously locked onto the ceiling.
"Spider-Man, are you tired of living?" Wanda's Chaos Magic had solidified into a tangible blade.
"Get off my ceiling, you bug!" Susan's Force Field locked down the space around Gwen Stacy.
The three sides were locked in a standoff, and the tension was at its peak.
As Natasha lay on the Force Field operating table, although the penetrating wound in her abdomen was still throbbing, her eyes, those of a top-tier agent, were secretly darting around rapidly.
She coldly watched the three insane women who had lost their minds in their struggle for the position of "mistress."
Natasha was well aware of her disadvantages—she didn't possess Skyfather-level magic, nor did she have a monstrous technological Force Field. But she had one thing that none of the other three women had: the most humble and extreme obedience to Lynn.
"Master," Natasha spoke weakly, her voice low but clear enough to penetrate the energy noise in the hall, "The building's security system still has vulnerabilities. I need a terminal that can cut off all of S.H.I.E.L.D..'s surveillance backdoors within an hour, turning this place into a true Iron Bucket."
Instead of engaging in the argument, she directly demonstrated to Lynn her irreplaceable role as an "Intelligence Officer."
Upon hearing this, Wanda, Susan, and Gwen Stacy all paused simultaneously. The three women turned to look at Natasha, their eyes filled with a hint of apprehension.
This ordinary human agent, who can't even get out of bed, is actually vying for favor in this way!
Lynn finally managed a satisfied, cold smile.
This is exactly the effect he wants. Involution, insane involution. As long as their jealousy and possessiveness remain, he can keep these top combatants firmly in his grasp.
"Susan, give her the terminal." Lynn tapped her fingers on the table, her voice soft but carrying an unyielding force. "And, get me a cup of coffee."
"Yes, Master!" Susan immediately withdrew her Force Field and gave Wanda a defiant glance. See? Master still trusts my arrangements more.
Wanda gritted her teeth in anger, her fingertips flashing red light wildly. She would never allow this blonde woman to take the lead in front of Lynn.
"Darling, the bedroom is too cold here." Wanda suddenly switched to an extremely clingy tone, Scarlet magic subtly spreading along the floor. "I'll go rewrite the top floor's structure right now; I'm going to build you the biggest bed ever..."
"You dare to tamper with the building's load-bearing structure?!" Susan turned around abruptly, holding her coffee.
"What wouldn't I dare to do?" Wanda sneered.
Four pairs of eyes clashed wildly in the air, their killing intent almost sucking the air out of the hall.
The battle for the title of owner of the Baxter Building officially began on this night when the storm had just stopped.
