Tearing the Base Apart: Wanda's Scarlet Execution
Lynn leaned back in his leather chair, his fingertips tracing the cool rim of his wine glass. The high-frequency noise emanating from the screen pierced his eardrums—the sound of a meter-thick Titanium Alloy explosion-proof door being violently torn apart.
"Bang!"
The metal debris, weighing tens of tons, crashed onto the alloy floor of the Main Control Room, raising a cloud of choking dust.
Lynn took a sip of red wine. The slightly astringent liquid slid down his throat as he stared at the Holographic Screens floating in front of him, his eyes completely unmoved.
The screen was filled with a rich red light. Wanda hovered in mid-air, the hem of her dark red leather jacket fluttering even without wind. She tilted her head, a sweet yet manic smile curving her lips, like a cruel girl who had just received a new toy.
"Master said we can't let you die too quickly." Wanda's voice came through the microphone to Lynn's ears, slightly distorted by static.
Stryker slumped in the corner like a lump of mud, his hands gripping the cracks in the floorboards, the wet stains on his crotch particularly glaring under the red light.
"Witch... you mutant monster... don't touch me!" Stryker waved his arms wildly, spitting everywhere.
The red light in Wanda's eyes suddenly intensified.
"Monster?" she sneered, suddenly spreading her five fingers.
A dozen Scarlet Energy Tentacles shot out from her fingertips, instantly coiling around Stryker's limbs like venomous snakes.
"Snap!"
The crisp sound of bones cracking echoed through the speakers atop the Baxter Building.
Stryker's right arm was snapped in the reverse direction, the white bone fragments piercing through the fabric of his uniform and exposed to the air. Blood dripped from his arm onto the metal floor.
"Ah--!" A bloodcurdling scream shattered the silence of the Main Control Room.
Lynn frowned slightly, finding the sound somewhat noisy. He tapped his fingers twice on the table.
Da. Da.
On the screen, Wanda keenly sensed Lynn's impatience. She knew all too well that she had to put on a grand and violent performance to completely outshine those two scheming women outside and win the privilege of having Lynn all to herself tonight.
"Your filthy mouth is unworthy to utter a sound." Wanda's fingers twitched slightly.
A Scarlet tentacle burrowed directly into Stryker's mouth, brutally crushing his teeth and tongue.
Stryker's eyes bulged out, and he could only make muffled "hoarse" sounds. Blood mixed with bits of flesh gushed from the corners of his mouth, covering his chin.
"The first leg," Wanda waved casually.
My left knee was twisted into a pretzel shape by an immense force.
Article Two.
The right leg pelvis was dislocated, and the femur was crushed inch by inch.
Lynn stared at the once high-ranking military leader on the screen, now reduced to a piece of flesh unable even to commit suicide. There was no pity, only a cold indifference to the complete crushing of power.
"Boss," Natasha's voice cut in from the communications channel, tinged with alertness, "I've just intercepted an encrypted overclocking signal. Someone is using a backdoor in Military Satellite to simultaneously eavesdrop on Stryker Base Audio and Video."
Lynn's lips curled into a cold smile, "Coordinates?"
"The Alps, S.H.I.E.L.D..'s top- Top Secret Safe House." Natasha's keyboard clicked rapidly. "It's Nick Fury. Should I cut off the signal?"
"No." Lynn stared at the screen. "Let him see. Show him the highest resolution picture."
Lynn wanted more than just Stryker's death; he wanted to completely shatter Fury's psychological Defense Line, to corner this cunning old fox lurking in the shadows.
In the Main Control Room, Wanda seemed to have sensed something as well. She looked up, her Scarlet eyes fixed on the hidden camera on the ceiling. Her gaze, though through the screen, was directed at Fury, who was eavesdropping.
"You insects will never understand the kind of being you've angered."
Wanda suddenly lifted her arms upwards.
Rumble--!
The entire base, 600 meters underground, began to tremble violently.
The dozens of split-screen monitors in front of Lynn shook violently at the same time, and then one by one they turned into static.
A violent, Chaos Magic, radiating outwards from Wanda, exploded outwards in all directions. The rock strata groaned, and steel bars snapped.
Susan's voice rang out on the Public Channel, filled with barely suppressed shock and rage. "Wanda! You're insane! Do you want to bury us all alive?!"
"Get out, you old woman. This is a gift of fireworks for him," Wanda retorted without any politeness.
Immediately afterwards, a horrifying visual spectacle erupted on the ground Outskirts of New York.
Lynn pulled up an aerial view from a high-altitude satellite.
On what was once a flat wasteland, the ground churned violently like boiling water. Huge cracks spread outwards like a spider web, and blinding red light shone from the bottomless ravines.
Boom!
The earth's crust, spanning several kilometers in radius, was forcibly ripped open.
A massive underground Bastion, constructed of special steel and concrete, was forcibly pulled out from a depth of 600 meters underground by countless thick, Scarlet tentacles!
Soil and rocks cascaded down the surface of the Bastion like a waterfall, crashing to the ground with a deafening roar.
Wanda floated in mid-air, her hands clasped loosely. The military base, weighing hundreds of thousands of tons, looked like a fragile plastic building block in her hands.
"For him." Wanda tilted her head back, a tear of blood streaming from the corner of her eye as she shed her magic, but a wildly satisfied smile played on her lips.
She ripped her hands apart violently.
Sizzle--!
A piercing sound of metal tearing apart echoed through the sky.
The entire base was forcibly torn in two!
The Reactor Core, exposed to the air, instantly went out of control. The high temperature of tens of millions of degrees, mixed with the Oblivion power of Chaos Magic, exploded in mid-air into a Scarlet sphere that devoured everything.
The Impact swept outwards, instantly leveling the forest within a radius of several kilometers.
Stryker, along with his prized Sentry Data and Mutant Gene Bank, was utterly reduced to nothingness in this cataclysmic explosion. Not even a speck of dust remained.
Lynn looked at the huge Scarlet Mushroom Cloud on the screen and leaned back in his chair with satisfaction.
"Well done, Wanda," Lynn whispered in approval.
Wanda's rapid, excited breathing came from the other end of the Communicator: "Darling... did I get a perfect score?"
"My door is open for you tonight," Lynn said, offering that fatal sweet treat.
The channel was instantly filled with Susan's cold snort through gritted teeth, and the ear-piercing noise of Gwen Stacy's dagger cutting through metal.
Lynn didn't care. The more jealous these women were, the sharper the knife in his hand became.
at the same time.
Deep within Top Secret, snow-covered bunker in the distant Alps.
Nick Fury stared intently at the Oversized Screen in front of him.
The image on the screen was frozen on the base that had been torn in two, and on the Scarlet sphere of light that was destroying everything.
The entire Safe House was eerily quiet, with only the faint hum of the ventilation system.
Fury's only remaining eye stared wide open, its pupil contracting violently with extreme fear.
His tactical plan, which he was so proud of, and his "Blind Spot Program" to test Lynn's bottom line, became a complete joke under the absolute force of this man.
That woman named Wanda was just a card in Lynn's hand.
Lynn didn't even have to be there in person; he simply sat in a Manhattan building drinking red wine and wiped out the military's most crucial secret base.
A bead of cold sweat slid down Fury's dark forehead and landed on the metal control panel.
The back of his secret agent uniform was completely soaked with cold sweat, clinging coldly to his skin, making him shiver involuntarily.
"Sir..." Agent Hill beside him was deathly pale, his voice trembling, "Stryker... the entire army was wiped out. That energy fluctuation has exceeded the peak of the Skyfather-level."
Fury didn't speak.
With trembling hands, he pulled a dusty, old-fashioned pager from his trench coat pocket. It was his last resort, his Ultimate Pager for dealing with a cataclysmic disaster on Earth.
But now he doesn't even have the courage to press that button.
Because he knew very well that since Lynn had let him see all of this, it meant that Lynn didn't care what other cards he had up his sleeve.
Just then...
The main screen in the Safe House flickered without warning.
The previously frozen explosion scene disappeared, replaced by a man sitting on Genuine Leather Throne.
Lynn, holding a wine glass, across half the globe and through heavily encrypted networks, fixed his gaze precisely on Fury's one eye.
"Director Fury," Lynn said, a cruel smile playing on his lips, "The show's over, time to pay your ticket."
