Shattering a Deity's Arrogance
The touch from my palm was as cold as a block of ice that I couldn't warm up.
The desert wind, carrying the smell of gunpowder and burning, swept across the ravaged land of New Mexico. Lynn lowered his eyes and quietly looked at Hela kneeling at his feet.
Broken glass and metal fragments pierced the black fabric around her knees. Dark red blood trickled down her pale calves, seeping into the dry gravel and emitting a strong, pungent stench of blood.
But this Goddess of Death, who once struck fear into the hearts of the Nine Realms, didn't even glance at her wounds. She tilted her head back, her narrow eyes swirling with a thick, obsessive fascination, and her cold cheek rubbed against Lynn's burning palm in a pleading manner.
A hint of mockery flashed in Lynn's eyes.
It's almost done.
To deal with this kind of Yandere who is inherently arrogant, possessive, and twisted to the extreme, simply suppressing her will only turn her into a completely insane wolf. Once you've shattered her high and mighty Deity shell and crushed her pride, it's time to put a collar on her.
Lynn bent her knees slightly and slowly squatted down.
Their gazes instantly converged. Lynn moved so close that he could see the tiny blue veins beneath Hela's pale skin, and smell the musty, damp odor emanating from her.
He raised his left hand, his rough thumb pressing against Hela's cheek.
Just now, when the Night Sky Sword slashed Lynn's neck, a drop of blood splattered and landed right below Hela's eye, its redness glaringly bright.
Lynn's actions were far from gentle, even bordering on rough. With a forceful swipe of his thumb, the drop of blood spread, leaving an ambiguous red mark on Hela's pale face.
"Does it hurt?" Lynn's voice was low, with a slightly hoarse, magnetic quality.
Hela shuddered. She stared intently at Lynn's lips, her breathing rapid as if she had just survived a life-or-death struggle. She slowly shook her head, her voice hoarse. "It doesn't hurt."
"That's more like it." Lynn chuckled softly, his thumb sliding down her cheek to her chin, stopping at the red marks he had just left from pinching her, gently stroking them. "Put away those useless thorns. Remember, from now on, only I can make you hurt."
These words were like a hooked knife, piercing precisely into the deepest part of Hela's heart.
Her pupils dilated suddenly, and her chest heaved violently. For thousands of years, Odin had taught her to kill and conquer, but once she was no longer of any use, he ruthlessly kicked her into the Abyss. No one had ever dared to speak to her in such a condescending yet absolutely possessive tone.
This feeling of being completely controlled and treated roughly actually gave her parched soul a thrilling pleasure.
"You..." Hela opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but Lynn's next move completely silenced her.
Lynn leaned forward slightly, their noses almost touching.
He stared into Hela's eyes and spoke, in a voice only the two of them could hear, enunciating each word clearly. "That old bastard in Asgard treated you like a hunting dog he used and then discarded. He doesn't want you, but I do."
Hela's breathing stopped instantly.
"Stay by my side." Lynn's voice was extremely low, like a venomous snake hissing in the night, carrying a deadly allure. "Odin owes you the Throne, Asgard owes you the debt, and those who betrayed you have their lives... I will help you collect them all, one by one, with interest."
Boom!
Something seemed to explode in Hela's mind.
What did she really want? Was it that cold Throne? No, all she wanted was someone who could understand her, someone who could accept all her madness and killing. And in the simulated memories, and in the reality before her, only this man was willing to face the wrath of the God-King for her.
"Everything that belongs to me..." Hela murmured, a sickly Scarlet welling up in her eyes. She stared intently at Lynn, her hands gripping his arms tightly, her nails digging almost into Lynn flesh, "Including you?"
Lynn didn't dodge, letting her pinch him. A deceptively gentle smile curved his lips as he grabbed Hela's nape and rubbed it twice, like soothing a raging cat.
"As long as you're obedient enough."
This promise completely locked Hela's heart away.
The last trace of struggle and pride in her eyes vanished. Hela released her grip, like a completely submissive believer, obediently resting her head on Lynn's shoulder. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath of the gunpowder and blood mingled on Lynn's body, and a satisfied yet cruel smile curled at the corner of her lips.
As long as I can possess this man, what does it matter if I slaughter the entire Nine Realms?
The wind in the desert seemed to have stopped.
But this brief tranquility was like a powder keg about to explode.
Near the wreckage of armored vehicles not far away, the air temperature was rising at an alarming rate.
Wanda stared intently ahead.
Her gaze pierced through the charred sand, fixed on the image of Hela leaning on Lynn's shoulder.
It's blinding. It's so blinding.
The old woman who suddenly emerged from the crack, the madwoman who had just threatened to kill them all, was now pressing her face against Lynn's neck!
Wanda's chest heaved violently, her breathing heavy like that of a Beast driven to the brink of Extremis. Her fingernails dug deep into the soft flesh of her palms, warm blood dripping from between her fingers onto the ground, but she felt no pain whatsoever.
On what grounds?
Lynn is hers! She earned her back bit by bit, risking her life, from the ruins of Sokovia!
What right did that woman have to touch him! What right did she have to get so close to him!
Jealousy felt like a thousand ants gnawing at her heart; the Venom flowed through her veins and burned away all her reason.
"Get out of here..." Wanda gritted her teeth, squeezing out a broken growl from her throat.
The sand beneath her feet began to vibrate violently and uncontrollably. Tiny pebbles defied gravity and slowly floated into the air. Dark red Chaos Particles, as if alive, surged wildly from her body, intertwining and twisting in the air, emitting a suffocating aura of destruction.
Susan, clutching her broken ribs, took two difficult steps back. Looking at Wanda's eyes, now completely Scarlet, her back was instantly soaked with cold sweat.
She could sense that the energy within Wanda was teetering on the edge of spiraling out of control. That pure malice, existing solely for destruction, was even more chilling than Hela's deathly pressure from before.
"Wanda! Calm down!" Susan whispered through gritted teeth, "Lynn is still there!"
But Wanda couldn't hear at all.
Her world now consists only of the woman leaning on Lynn's shoulder.
"Whoever touches him... shall die!"
Wanda abruptly raised her head, her chestnut-colored hair swirling wildly in the raging energy currents. The space around her began to visibly distort, and streaks of Scarlet lightning bolts bolted wildly through the air, emitting ear-piercing explosions.
She wanted to tear that woman apart. She wanted to extract that woman's soul bit by bit and grind it into the finest powder!
A violent killing intent instantly locked onto Hela in front of him.
Hela was leaning on Lynn's shoulder, suddenly opened her eyes. She felt the undisguised hostility behind her, and a flash of violence instantly appeared in her narrow eyes. Just as she was about to raise her hand to condense the Night Sky Sword, a warm, large hand suddenly pressed down on her shoulder.
Lynn remained in a half-squatting position.
He didn't turn around, but only glanced at the Scarlet storm behind him, which was almost dyeing the sky red, out of the corner of his eye.
The smell of Ozone in the air grew stronger, and the oppressive feeling of Chaos Magic was closing in on my back.
Lynn's lips curled up almost imperceptibly.
The fish has taken the bait.
The pot of water in this Shura Field has completely boiled over.
He slowly stood up, turned his head, and faced the Scarlet storm that was capable of tearing everything apart, his gaze precisely locking onto Wanda, who was on the verge of spiraling out of control.
