Ghost-Spider's Twisted Offering, the Agony Outside the Door
The bedroom door slammed shut behind me with a "click."
This soft sound was like an invisible switch, instantly severing the two completely different worlds inside and outside the bedroom.
Outside the door, there was a chilling aura of jealousy and murderous intent, enough to freeze one's soul.
Inside the door, the air was thick with oppressive heat, reserved exclusively for the victors.
Lynn didn't turn around. He could clearly feel the warm and soft body pressed against him behind him, trembling slightly at an abnormal frequency.
Gwen Stacy's arms, like the toughest Silk, were tightly wrapped around his waist, with such force that they almost embedded themselves into his bones and blood.
"Owner..."
Her voice came through the mask, muffled, yet carrying a twisted and fanatical quality, almost like a dream.
You... can do anything to me.
This sacrificial whisper did not stir any ripples in Lynn's heart. He knew that this was not an invitation of lust, but a deeper kind of Absolute Obedience after the complete crushing of his ego.
It's the pet opening its belly to its owner without reservation.
"But, as a reward..."
Gwen Stacy's breathing became more rapid, and the arms around him tightened, as if a drowning person had grabbed onto the only piece of driftwood.
"... Can I watch you all night?"
"Don't leave my sight for even a second."
A cold indifference shone deep in Lynn's eyes.
He didn't answer, but simply raised his hand and gently grasped Gwen Stacy's tactical-gloved wrist with a motion devoid of any emotion.
His movements were light, yet they caused Gwen Stacy's body to stiffen abruptly, and the arms wrapped around his waist instantly released all their force.
Lynn slowly turned around and looked down at her.
The mask concealed her face, but the gaze projected through the white goggles was like a burning flame, a mixture of adoration, infatuation, and possessiveness.
"Take it off." Lynn's tone was flat and left no room for argument.
Gwen Stacy's breathing paused for a moment.
She understood Lynn's intention almost immediately.
Without the slightest hesitation, and even with a hint of urgency, she raised her hands and, with an almost reverent gesture, slowly unveiled the mask that symbolized her identity as the "Ghost-Spider."
The mask slipped off.
A beautiful face, stained with a little dust and blood, yet still breathtakingly exquisite, was exposed under the soft light of the bedroom.
Her cheeks were flushed with an unhealthy red from excessive excitement; her lips were slightly parted as she breathed rapidly; and her sky-blue eyes were fixed on Lynn, reflecting only his image, leaving no room for anything else.
This is her most vulnerable and unguarded side.
In the simulated world, she had fantasized about this scene countless times.
And now, she has finally offered her last disguise to her Deity.
Lynn looked at her quietly, at the undisguised, almost overflowing fervor in her eyes.
He knew that for someone like Gwen Stacy, whose heart was already filled with guilt and despair, violence and power were the means to make her submit; while a new and unquestionable "faith" was the strongest chain that could completely bind her.
Just when Lynn thought she was about to say something, Gwen Stacy did something that surprised even him.
She slowly bent her knees and knelt down.
This action, without the slightest hesitation or humiliation, instead carried a solemn sense of completing some kind of sacred ritual.
She knelt at Lynn's feet, looked up at him with her infatuated eyes, and then reached out her hands—the same hands that had torn the throats of countless enemies—and gently, carefully brushed away a speck of dust from his military boots.
It was from being stained by flying pebbles during the battle with the Dark Phoenix.
Her movements were so focused and meticulous, as if she were not wiping away dust, but caressing a priceless sacred object.
In the bedroom, only the faint sound of fabric rubbing together and Gwen Stacy's increasingly hot and labored breathing could be heard.
This is an extreme, chilling kind of humility.
They crushed all their pride, all their abilities, all their worth, just so they could serve their master in the most humble manner.
This is the loyalty she offered.
Meanwhile, outside the door.
The cold, deathly silent corridor was like a passageway to Hell.
The cold wind blowing in through the broken windows carried a pungent smell of burnt and blood, but it couldn't dispel the oppressive low pressure that was almost tangible.
Wanda, Hela, Susan.
Three top-tier beings, capable of commanding the attention of any Deity, now resembled three abandoned prisoners, enduring the longest torment before this tightly closed door.
Wanda leaned against the wall, her body slowly sliding down until she finally slumped to the cold floor.
She buried her face deep in her knees, her shoulders heaving uncontrollably.
One drop, two drops...
Scarlet tears, radiating Chaos Energy, seeped from between her fingers and dripped to the ground, corroding the hard alloy floor with small, sizzling pits.
Why...
Why the Spider Woman?
I was clearly the first one...
She was the one who would unhesitatingly alter reality and destroy the universe for him!
An uncontrollable, violent jealousy, like a venomous snake, gnawed at her heart. She could hear the faintest sounds coming from inside the door.
The indistinct, intermittent sounds of conversation.
The rustling sound of the fabric rubbing together.
She could even "see" Gwen Stacy taking off her mask behind that door... and she knelt down!
This is a thousand times more painful than having a knife stabbed into her chest!
Not far away, Hela remained standing, arms crossed over her chest, her body taut like a sword about to be drawn.
Her face was shrouded in shadow and could not be seen clearly.
But the air around her was already extremely cold, a thin layer of black frost, carrying the Aura of Death, was slowly spreading from her to the surrounding floor and walls.
Shame!
An unprecedented disgrace!
She, the Eldest Princess of Asgard, the Conqueror of the Nine Realms, the embodiment of death!
She could kneel before that man because he had conquered her pride with absolute violence, and his domineering nature even made her feel a morbid infatuation.
But she absolutely could not tolerate being treated like a hunting dog locked out by its master, listening to him favor another... thief who wasn't even a pet!
Every sound coming from inside the door was like a resounding slap across her face.
Her fingernails were already deeply embedded in her arm, and dark green divine blood flowed down her arm, but was frozen by the extreme cold the moment it came into contact with the air.
Kill!
Kill that spider!
Kill that shameless woman inside the door!
This thought, like a wildly growing vine, tightly bound her soul. But she dared not.
The mere thought of Lynn's cold, emotionless eyes instantly extinguished all her murderous intent with a deeper fear.
Susan, like a trapped animal, paced silently back and forth in the narrow corridor.
Her figure flickered between invisibility and reality, revealing the extreme turmoil within her heart.
Her brain was working at a Nova -like speed.
Why did we lose?
She sacrificed the Baxter Building, she sacrificed the Negative Zone Matrix, she even risked her life to resist the Dark Phoenix...
But why was it that in the end, it was Gwen Stacy, who only knew how to launch sneak attacks, who won everything?
I'm not reconciled!
She was unwilling to accept it!
She had to do something; she had to prove to Lynn that her worth far exceeded that of the Spider Woman!
Time slipped away second by second in this suffocating silence and torment.
The long night seemed to have no end.
The world inside the door was eerily quiet.
This silence, however, was the most terrifying torment for the three people outside the door. It gave them boundless room for imagination, enough to burn away their reason.
I don't know how much time passed.
"Oh..."
A cold, self-deprecating laugh, tinged with boundless killing intent, broke the deathly silence.
It's Hela.
She slowly raised her head, her dark green eyes shining eerily in the darkness, staring intently at the door.
Are we just going to wait here until dawn like three stray dogs?
Her voice, like a chilling wind from the Underworld, sent a shiver down the spines of Wanda and Susan.
Wanda suddenly raised her head, Scarlet tears streaming down her face, her eyes filled with resentment and madness.
"Otherwise what?" Her voice was terribly hoarse. "Do you want to rush in? Do you want... him to crush you the same way he crushed Phoenix?"
These words, like a needle, pierced Hela deeply.
Hela's face instantly turned extremely ugly, and the Death Energy around her suddenly erupted, only to be forcibly suppressed by her.
Yes, she doesn't dare.
The fear of being dominated by absolute power was etched into her very soul.
"We can't just sit here and wait!"
Susan, who had been silent all along, suddenly stopped in her tracks, her voice resolute and cold.
Her gaze swept over Wanda, who looked resentful, and Hela, whose eyes were filled with murderous intent, before finally settling on the other end of the corridor.
That's where the "spoils of war" are being held.
"Why was that Spider Woman able to get in?" Susan's voice held a chilling, almost cynical tone. "Because she brought back that old man."
That was her 'achievement,' her bargaining chip for getting a 'reward.'
Wanda and Hela's attention was instantly drawn to it.
Their breathing became rapid almost simultaneously.
yes...
Charles Xavier!
"Since her credit comes from this..." Susan's lips curled into a cold, competitive smile, and beneath her golden hair, her blue eyes gleamed with intelligence and obsession.
"Then why can't we... squeeze every last drop of value out of this 'merit'?"
"And then, tomorrow morning, as an even more lavish 'gift,' will it be placed before the master?"
