Tell Me What You Think

Three people were sitting on either side of the table.

The first person on the right is Hela, the head of the Stability Maintenance Office. She sits upright with her hands folded in front of her, her gaze fixed on the Gwen Stacy, the head of the newly established Liaison Office. She sits there quietly, a closed folder in front of her, like a detached recorder.

Three people, three directions, three different auras. There was no communication between them, not even a glance. Nothing.

Gwen Stacy simply nodded slightly.

Lynn gently pushed the thin summary forward.

"Within forty-eight hours, the other party's ' Special Inspection Team ' will be fully involved."

He used the word "intervention," not "intrusion."

The word "inspection" meant that the vulnerability assessment report had just been approved and the countermeasures were still in the simulation stage when the other side's Thunder action came right to their doorstep.

"Tell me your thoughts." Lynn's gaze swept across the three faces one by one.

Silence fell over the conference room once again.

This is not a one-time thing.

Finally, Hela spoke first. Her voice was cold and firm, consistent with the style of the Stability Maintenance Office.

"Since the enemy relies on physical Anchor, we will establish the highest-level annihilation zones around those Anchor. No matter how many they come, we will wipe them out. We cannot let them step into the core. My analysis shows that the enemy's ' Pruning ' technology has an advantage at the rule level. Physically amassing forces is not very meaningful."

She paused for a moment, organizing her thoughts.

"I believe we should leverage our technological advantages. Since they rely on Anchor, we can work on those Anchor. What do you think?"

Gwen Stacy looked up and met Lynn's gaze.

"My opinion is that both of the proposals put forward by the responsible parties are valuable, but perhaps... neither of them hit the nail on the head."

Upon hearing this, a cold glint flashed in Hela's eyes, and Wanda also looked at her in surprise.

"It's on my own head."

Her words stunned Hela and Wanda.

"So you mean, open the door and let them investigate?" Hela's tone was laced with undisguised sarcasm.

"Yes." Gwen Stacy nodded. "Open the door, welcome them. And be warm and attentive, because they hold the final right to interpret the ' Sacred Timeline,' they are the rule-makers and maintainers. Our greatest disadvantage lies in the fact that our very existence is, in their definition, a 'violation.'"

"Therefore, we can't play by their rules... We've set up an ' Inspection Preparation Working Group.' We'll provide whatever they want to check, but they must follow our procedures."

"To review materials, you can, but first register at the Archives Department; to conduct on-site inspections, you can, but the Liaison Office will coordinate first, with the Stability Maintenance Office office accompanying you; for technical quality checks, the meeting hall was deathly silent."

The mockery on Hela's face froze. She looked at Gwen Stacy as if she were a monster.

Wanda's eyes were filled with shock and contemplation. She had never imagined that things could be handled from this perspective.

Lynn leaned back in his chair, remaining silent for a long time before finally speaking.

"That's a good idea."

He looked at Gwen Stacy and gave her a positive assessment.

"You will be in charge of leading and coordinating this ' Inspection Preparation Working Group '."

Gwen Stacy neither declined nor showed any joy.

"Yes."

Lynn's gaze shifted to Hela.

"The Stability Maintenance Office is responsible for perimeter control and maintaining order on-site. I don't care what methods you use, during the period the ' Inspection Group ' arrives, no unauthorized personnel are allowed to approach that area, and no unusual noises are permitted. I want absolute silence."

"Yes," Hela replied in a deep voice. She understood; this wasn't about sending her to war, but about making her a security guard.

Lynn then looked at Wanda.

"The Technology Integration Department is responsible for data manipulation and record-keeping in all affected areas. I need a flawless, fully compliant record within 24 hours. All abnormal energy fluctuations and records of illegal projects must be erased. It must be an ironclad record that can withstand any scrutiny."

"I guarantee I'll complete the mission." Wanda immediately agreed, her fighting spirit rekindled in her eyes.

With a clear division of labor and well-defined responsibilities, a comprehensive and compliant defense network against TVA has been established in just a few words.

Lynn looked at the three people in front of him, each with their own thoughts, and his tone became stern.

"Remember, this isn't an assessment, it's an inspection. I'm not looking at who contributed the most, I'm only looking at who made a mistake. Whoever's area of responsibility has a problem, they'll have to explain it to the ' Inspection Group ' themselves."

These words made all three of them feel a sinking feeling.

This was both a warning and a binding force. From this moment on, they were no longer competitors, but rather birds in the same boat.

"You understand everything?"

"Understood," the three answered in unison.

"Okay, disperse..."

Lynn hadn't finished speaking.

"Squeak--"

The heavy hall door, forged from bones and Obsidian, was slowly pushed open a crack from the outside.

Everyone's attention was instantly drawn to it.

A figure stood at the doorway, leaning against the door frame.

She was wearing a faded hospital gown, her figure thin, her face as pale as a sheet. Her once-smooth red hair had lost its luster and looked somewhat disheveled.

It is Jean Grey.

She looked at everyone in the meeting hall, then at Lynn on the Throne. Her lips moved as if she wanted to say something, but a violent cough made her bend over.

Her breath was extremely weak.
