A fruitless interim inspection, an assistance notice for Till Death Do Us Part
Gwen Stacy took the yellowed paper document.
It feels cold to the touch and heavy; it doesn't feel like a piece of paper, but more like a thin piece of ice that has been compressed by time.
"This is another official matter while awaiting TVA's reply."
The synthesized electronic voice of the Golden Armored Envoy echoed in the square, devoid of any emotion, simply stating a predetermined procedure.
It offered no further explanation, nor did it look at anyone else.
After saying that, its smooth, seamless body began to become transparent, as if it were merging into the light, and disappeared silently from the spot.
They arrived like gods descending, but left as if they had never been there at all.
All that remained was a desolate square and the unusually weighty "Assistance Investigation Notice" in Gwen Stacy's hand.
Hela and Wanda walked over, their eyes both fixed on the document.
In the exchange just now, they seemed to have the upper hand and forced the other side to back down from its unauthorized inspection, but everyone knew that this document that was suddenly produced was the other side's real trump card.
"Back to the Director's Office." Gwen Stacy didn't open the file immediately; she simply closed it and said in a low voice.
The White Bone Hall, the Director's Office.
Lynn sat behind her large desk, her fingers tapping rhythmically on the surface.
He watched everything that happened in the square through the light screen.
From high-level receptions to departmental Bastion and checks and balances through multilateral agreements, every step was within his Contingency Plan.
He successfully dragged a seemingly overwhelmingly powerful Dimensionality-Reduction Strike into the quagmire of bureaucracy, a situation he knew all too well.
But Lynn's expression did not relax in the slightest.
He knew very well that an entity of the level of the Living Tribunal would not give up easily because of a single procedural setback.
There was a knock on the door.
Gwen Stacy, Hela, and Wanda walked in.
The atmosphere in the office became heavy as they entered.
"Director."
Gwen Stacy presented the yellowed document with both hands and placed it flat on Lynn's desk.
"Assistance Investigation Notice left by the Rule Envoy."
Lynn's gaze swept across the document, the four large black characters imprinted with the concept seeming to carry a weight that transcends time and space.
He didn't pick it up immediately.
"Thank you for your hard work." He said to the three of them first, his tone calm. "Today's response was reasonable, advantageous, and measured, fully demonstrating the professionalism of our Management Committee."
This is an affirmation of their work and also helps to stabilize morale within the unit.
Hela snorted coldly, clearly dissatisfied with this verbal exchange.
Wanda remained silent, staring at the document, Scarlet light flickering in her eyes.
Lynn then reached out and picked up the Assistance Investigation Notice.
He unfolded the document and read it word by word.
The format of the report was extremely old-fashioned and rigorous, using the official written language of the Supreme Court.
Lynn read quickly, but his heart sank little by little.
The contents of the report did not match any of the scenarios he had anticipated.
Negative Zone, the Illuminati, and even the figure himself are not mentioned.
The report stated that the observation matrix of the Living Tribunal detected a "Unknown Emotional Dimension Residual Energy" with unexplained origin, peculiar properties, and continuous proliferation in multiple independent Parallel Universe over the past few cycles.
The court believes that the emergence of this energy may pose a potential disturbance to the underlying emotional logic of the Multiverse.
Therefore, all independent jurisdictions with higher levels of Jurisdiction are required to assist in investigating the source and characteristics of this energy.
Lynn's breathing paused for a moment.
Unknown Emotional Dimension Residual Energy.
In his mind, the lines of cold text on the simulator interface flashed by, along with the heart-wrenching pain and unforgettable emotional imprints he felt at the end of each simulation.
It's a system.
It is a trace left by the core mechanism of "Till Death Do Us Part".
He always thought that the simulator only affected the target in reality, but he never expected that every tragic ending of "dying for her" would leave a scar in that simulated universe that could not be erased by time.
These scars have now been captured by the microscope of the Living Tribunal.
He built a solid Bastion using the bureaucratic system, thinking it was impregnable, but he didn't expect that the enemy had no intention of attacking the city at all, but instead directly inserted Probe into the deepest foundation of the Bastion.
Lynn calmly turned to the last page of the report.
appendix.
The appendix lists several "high-risk energy outburst points" in detail.
Each entry is accompanied by a precise cosmological number and spacetime coordinates.
First: Earth-616, center of the Sokovia Ruins. Energy characteristics: despair, destruction, and an instantaneous outburst of extreme protectiveness.
The second: Earth-1610, top of the Osborn Corporation Clock Tower tower in New York. Energy characteristics: sorrow, decisiveness, and a fall that severs all ties.
The third: Earth-1218, at the end of the Bifrost in Asgard. Energy characteristics: a smile, a sense of relief, and the composure of turning to ashes under the Gungnir.
Lynn's pupils contracted sharply.
These are not coordinates.
That's his tombstone.
It was the core crime scene where he sacrificed his life for those girls in every simulation.
The investigation by the Living Tribunal is getting incredibly close to the truth.
Just then, two pairs of eyes simultaneously fell on the document in his hand.
"Director, what did the report say?"
Hela's voice broke the silence; she had noticed Lynn's fleeting unusual behavior.
"Does the Stability Maintenance Office need to take action? Whatever it is, just erase it."
Her words carried her usual domineering and ruthless nature.
Wanda, on the other hand, remained silent.
She simply tilted her head slightly, looking at the document, her beautiful eyebrows furrowing gently.
"There's a strange feeling about this..."
Her voice was soft, tinged with confusion, but more so with an instinctive possessiveness.
"This energy... let me see the attachment." Wanda stepped forward, extending her hand, her aim fixed on the document in Lynn's hand.
Almost at the same time, Hela also realized something, and her cold gaze instantly locked onto Wanda's outstretched hand.
"Isn't the Technology Minister overreaching?"
The air in the office seemed to have been sucked out in an instant.
