Major Accident Emergency Plan: The Director Arrived to Maintain Order
The static on the monitoring screen flickered erratically, like a silent mockery.
The office was deathly silent.
An orange Internal High-Energy Conflict Alert flashed silently on Lynn's desk, its light reflecting off Gwen Stacy's pale face.
Lynn slowly leaned back in her chair and closed her eyes.
A moment later, he opened his eyes, and what he saw was a calm, icy lake, without the slightest ripple.
He stood up.
"Director, the on-site energy readings have exceeded the safety threshold; you cannot proceed." Gwen Stacy's voice trembled slightly, and she instinctively stood in front of Lynn.
Lynn didn't look at her; her gaze went past her shoulder and landed on the closed office door.
"Director Gwen Stacy."
His voice was flat, devoid of emotion.
I am not Lynn now.
"I am the Director of the Management Committee."
Gwen Stacy stiffened for a moment, then silently stepped aside to make way for him.
Lynn strode out of the office.
Chaos reigned in the corridors of the White Bone Hall. Technicians and administrators frantically ran around clutching Data Pad, while the Stability Maintenance Office Enforcement Team, fully armed, rushed toward the scene of the conflict. Tension and fear filled the air.
Lynn walked among them, like a rebel.
His steps were not fast, but each step was exceptionally steady. The surrounding noise and panic seemed to be shut out by an invisible wall. Everyone who saw him, whether a panicked clerk or a grim soldier, involuntarily stopped, paid him a respectful look, and then silently made way for him.
An invisible order quietly emerged as he advanced.
The closer one gets to the Internal Affairs Inspection Office, the more pronounced the scorching heat in the air becomes, and a pungent odor mixed with Ozone and Unknown Elements fills the nostrils.
At the end of the corridor, there was a complete mess.
The alloy door of the Inspection Office, which was originally strong enough to withstand the Main Cannon of a warship, along with the surrounding walls, was blasted open with a huge, irregular gap. The broken metal sections still emitted a dark red light under the high temperature, and at the edges, Scarlet energy flowed slowly like a living thing, Oblivion all matter into the most basic particles.
A figure hovered silently in the middle of the corridor.
It's Wanda.
Her face was expressionless, but her Scarlet eyes raged with a chilling fury capable of freezing everything.
Within that massive breach, amidst the ruins of the Inspection Office, Natasha's figure loomed in and out of sight. She gripped a standard-issue pistol tightly in her hand, her posture impeccable, but everyone knew it was meaningless in the current situation. Her face held no fear, only a cold, hunter-like scrutiny.
Dozens of Stability Maintenance Office Enforcement Team formed a defensive formation on both sides of the corridor, with all their energy shields activated to the maximum, but no one dared to take another step forward.
They became helpless bystanders in this storm.
Lynn's appearance drew everyone's attention.
He didn't stop and walked straight through the Stability Maintenance Office's Defense Line.
"Director!" the team leader cried out in disbelief.
Lynn ignored them and stepped into the dangerous area shrouded in Scarlet Energy.
The violent energy seemed to sense the intruder and began to surge towards him.
Lynn didn't set up any protective gear; he simply surveyed the scene with a calm gaze. His eyes didn't linger on Wanda or Natasha, as if they were merely two objects at the accident site.
"According to Article 17, Paragraph 3, and Article 25, Paragraph 1 of the ' Internal Safety Regulations of the Negative Zone Management Committee '."
Lynn's voice rang out, not loud, but clearly drowning out the hissing of energy, reaching everyone's ears.
"Based on on-site assessment, I hereby declare this incident to be classified as Class A, Major Safety Accident involving high-risk energy leakage and facility damage."
His words, like a cold Scalpel, precisely dissected the tense emotional standoff at the scene, redefining it as a routine official matter.
The Scarlet light surging in Wanda's eyes paused slightly.
Natasha's grip on the gun loosened almost imperceptibly by a fraction.
Lynn took out a small seal from his pocket, engraved with the Management Committee's emblem, and pressed it into the air. An invisible ripple spread out, signifying that the Highest Access Privileges of the Director's Order had been activated.
"Director's Order."
"Immediately activate the Level-One Major Accident Emergency Plan."
"Stability Maintenance Office, immediately seal off the scene, clear out all unrelated personnel, and establish a physical cordon to prevent the situation from escalating."
"All losses shall be registered and recorded by the Liaison Office and submitted to the Director's Office."
He gave his instructions at a measured pace, each word carrying undeniable weight.
The head of the Stability Maintenance Office paused for a moment, then loudly replied, "Yes, sir!"
The Enforcement Team, as if waking from a dream, immediately took action, efficiently dispersing the onlookers and setting up energy warning lines.
The atmosphere at the scene began to subtly shift in the face of the cold, formal procedures.
Lynn's gaze finally landed on Wanda and Natasha.
"According to the personnel control regulations of the emergency Contingency Plan, the personnel involved, Wanda Maximoff, Technology Integration Department Minister Wanda, Natasha Romanoff, Acting Director of the Internal Affairs Inspection Office, are to be immediately disarmed and suspended from all duties."
"The Stability Maintenance Office Enforcement Team enforced mandatory physical isolation, and the individuals were taken to Isolation Review Room A-3 and A-5 respectively, to be questioned by the Accident Investigation Team."
"Execute immediately."
Upon receiving the order, the two teams of fully armed Enforcement Team gritted their teeth and braved the suffocating energy fluctuations, heading towards Wanda and Natasha respectively.
Natasha glanced at Lynn with a complicated expression, but she wisely threw away the gun in her hand, raised her hands, and allowed the Enforcement Team to fasten the Energy Suppression Ring to her wrists.
All eyes were on Wanda.
She remained suspended in the air, and the Scarlet Energy around her not only did not subside, but became even thicker.
The team of Enforcement Team approaching her could not take another step beyond three meters. Their armor groaned under the strain, and the ground beneath their feet was silently cracking.
The atmosphere at the scene froze once again.
Lynn looked at her but didn't say anything more.
He just watched quietly.
Using his position Director of the Management Committee, he looked after a subordinate who had spiraled out of control.
Time passed second by second.
Wanda's eyes flashed with alternating fury and coldness, Scarlet energy danced at her fingertips, seemingly ready to tear the entire White Bone Hall to shreds at any moment.
In the end, that violent energy slowly and reluctantly retreated back into her body.
She fell from the sky, her feet landing on the cracked ground.
The Enforcement Team, feeling as if they had been granted a pardon, immediately stepped forward to put a restraint ring on her.
Just then, Wanda moved.
She did not resist, but ignored the Enforcement Team around her, took two steps forward, and fixed her gaze on Lynn's face through the crowd.
Her voice wasn't loud, but it carried a chilling edge.
Where is the original copy of that Audit Report now?
