"Keep this ship for now. Don't take it apart."
Chen Mo handed Bat the half-section of pipe he had found. Symbiote clung to the inside, and the passage behind it branched off in several directions. The two spiders had crawled through them one by one. At the very end, Peter squeezed out of a hole narrower than his shoulders. Chen Mo went over to pull him out and even heard his suit snag.
Places like that were everywhere inside the ship. Venom really knew how to pick a home.
Bat took the pipe away to find the people guarding the ship. Standing beside the plane, Chen Mo heard someone calling for a hand. Several workers stood around a vehicle stuck in the mud, their shoes covered in yellow muck, its wheels still spinning in place.
Peter steadied the crates on the vehicle while Chen Mo lifted it from the rear and pushed it onto the firm ground ahead.
"All right, off you go."
A worker followed them, thanking them, then pulled out cigarettes and offered the whole pack. Chen Mo pointed at his mask. Realizing, the worker smiled and put it away, then called his coworkers back to work.
Listening to that "Thank you, Spider-Man," Chen Mo rubbed the hands that had lifted the vehicle against his trouser legs.
How nice. The same two arms caused so much crap when I swung them at people, but lift a vehicle and someone even offers me cigarettes.
*Shame I didn't bring a bag. I should've kept them. Put them on the table back home and tell the story whenever anyone asks. A Gotham citizen gave me these. Do you know how hard it is to get something out of a Gotham citizen? This is as good as getting a banner of appreciation,
