Unable to leave this world since his birth, all he knew was that when he was born as [Demon Card · Finality], he, the first to develop a will of his own, had been caught in the eruption of some power.
He did not know what kind of being had unleashed that power.
He only knew that all the Demon Cards had vanished into endless spacetime because of it.
Knowledge had been forcibly poured into his consciousness.
It had taught him that this power was called [The End].
That was why he was unwilling to approach the Colorless End.
The mental trauma inflicted all those countless years ago had never faded, even now.
He had been trapped within an invisible barrier, yet as [Finality], as the first will among the Demon Cards, he could sense the Wasteland beyond the world.
The other eleven cards born alongside him.
No being had discovered the demons.
Until later, when a war seemed to have broken out.
The power called [The End] had appeared once more.
It had even reached the world he inhabited.
Gold, silver, and the color of brass.
He could sense that three colors had been extinguished.
It was also then that he had finally found an opportunity, spending only a few thousand years using those powers called [The End] to escape the barrier that bound him.
This world was filled with demons.
Yet they had no ability to travel between worlds.
He could only wait.
And the Demon Cards he could sense remained dormant.
Until, after another stretch of time too long to measure.
The Demon Cards were taken to different worlds.
They occasionally gathered together, only to separate again soon afterward.
