Somewhere in an unknown space.
"Heinz" sat upright there.
He watched everything happening in Uto City.
Citizens were slaughtered, and the city was destroyed.
Uto City, which he had managed for countless years, had already become a ruin.
And there was no possibility of restoring it.
"This is humanity."
"When weak, they detest conflict. When strong, they delight in war."
"Destruction, slaughter..."
"Desire, longing..."
"From the day of their birth, humans have sought a grand death."
"But the strong remain strong."
"Who will care about these weak people?"
"They were clearly offered beautiful wishes, yet in the end, what came in return was a bullet, a scimitar."
"The citizens are all dead."
A voice devoid of any emotion echoed through the space.
It was Heinz's voice, yet not his voice alone.
"There can be no happiness amid conflict."
"You must build an Eternal Utopia and let humanity attain happiness."
"You will bar all outside enemies, so that even infants born in the Wasteland may cry freely in their swaddling clothes."
"Become the King of happiness."
"Become... the apex of humanity. Stand farther ahead than everyone else, and select only the unknowns that will bring humanity happiness."
"Heinz, you will become a Hero."
"You will bear all suffering for humanity."
"Heinz" opened his eyes.
His body was engulfed by endless agony. He no longer looked remotely human, having instead become a being of pure energy.
He devoured the waves of pain.
Dreamlike colors appeared beneath that black body.
"Heinz" raised his hand, holding a hammer inlaid with a [Card Sequence].

The hammer fell.

What he struck was a ring that had yet to take shape.
A line of small lettering was engraved upon
