Chapters 276–300 Vol. 3 Read

Ch. 276Purchase options!

Ye Qiyan spent Train Coins on Sky-Seizing Wings and a weapon for Lisette, whose transformation revealed a mysterious device that the appraisal system could not identify. With his funds nearly depleted and more purchases still needed, he considered selling weapons salvaged from his Arena battles.

  • Ye Qiyan decided that improving his regular combat strength mattered more than buying Demon Card coordinates or upgrading his Blasphemy Card, and purchased Sky-Seizing Wings and [Mechanism: Celestial Domain Reverie].
  • Sky-Seizing Wings granted Ye Qiyan the additional Modules Gun Fu and Firearms Mastery, advancing his mastery of firearms.
  • Lisette equipped [Mechanism: Celestial Domain Reverie], which manifested as two spikes named Sonata and Resonance.
  • Lisette used Resonance to create the Pavilion of Time and Sequence, but Ye Qiyan's appraisal system could not identify it.
  • Ye Qiyan counted his remaining Train Coins and considered selling weapons taken from defeated Arena opponents to afford his next purchases.

Ch. 277Day nine, an oasis in the desert

On day nine, Ye Qiyan reached an oasis where monsters attacked his train before the trial began, but Eve killed them. The Guide then started the trial and matched Ye Qiyan against Bolanu, an arrogant Apostle of the God of Lava with eleven consecutive wins, as Ye Qiyan stepped out to face him.

  • Ye Qiyan arrived at the oasis and waited aboard his train for the Guide while its monster inhabitants eyed him greedily.
  • Several invisible Lizardmen tried to enter the train, but Eve detected and shot one, then killed the attackers who kept approaching.
  • Ye Qiyan used the train's mechanical arms to collect the monsters' corpses as livestock feed.
  • The Guide arrived at one in the afternoon and summoned an arena, where a screen displayed Ye Qiyan's record of eight consecutive wins.
  • Bolanu, an eleven-win Stonefolk Apostle of the God of Lava, entered the arena and demanded that Ye Qiyan leave his train and kneel.
  • Ye Qiyan stepped out of the train, smiling as he faced Bolanu.

Ch. 278Increasingly Unfair Rules

Ye Qiyan faced Bolanu under rules that forced both competitors to enter the Arena, but he summoned Red Tears and used the Book of the Unreal and the Real to overcome the Apostle. After Bolanu revealed that his god dwelled in the void outside the world and could not establish a God's World, Ye Qiyan killed him and advanced his winning streak to nine.

  • The match rules required Ye Qiyan and Bolanu to enter the Arena in person, and Ye Qiyan asked what would happen if he disobeyed them.
  • Bolanu covered the Arena with gravity and hurled enormous rocks at Ye Qiyan, who summoned Red Tears to split one with the Tear-Carving Sword.
  • Ye Qiyan opened the Book of the Unreal and the Real, manifesting the Ancient Battlefield and driving the watching creatures into madness.
  • Ye Qiyan bewitched Bolanu into revealing that his god was in the void outside the world and could not yet establish a God's World.
  • Ye Qiyan's sword strike froze Bolanu with fear and caused explosive light to pour from cracks in his body, killing him.
  • The Demon Raven swallowed a piece of Bolanu, and the Arena screen recorded Ye Qiyan's ninth consecutive victory.

Ch. 279Azure Roar Thunder Eagle (Growing)

Ye Qiyan learned that the Arena’s rules had targeted him because of his Card Sequence, then prepared his companions for the next trials. He Ascended the growing Giant Eagle, transforming it into an Azure Roar Thunder Eagle with newly awakened secret arts.

  • The system intervened after Ye Qiyan’s ninth consecutive trial victory, waiving restrictions for the next three trials and stopping further rule interference.
  • Ye Qiyan asked the Guide about Eris, learning that she was not a god, disliked gods, and trapped Arena entrants unless they won all twelve trials or had a train.
  • Ye Qiyan replenished his strength, looted the defeated monsters’ equipment, and replaced fifteen of Eve’s thirty-six slots with weapons before Ascending the stronger items.
  • That night, Ye Qiyan Ascended the Giant Eagle, awakening its lightning bloodline and turning it into an Azure Roar Thunder Eagle with Great Falling Thunder and Azure Roar Sword.

Ch. 280The most beautiful flower in the Underworld~

Ye Qiyan welcomed WALL-E back from its treasure hunt and discovered that it had found Netherwhisper, a mysterious Underworld flower that could enhance supernatural items. He realized he had the Nether Soil and flowers needed to plant it, leaving the Planting Carriage poised for an unusual transformation.

  • Ye Qiyan tested the Giant Eagle’s new Azure Roar Sword, then had it fetch the bear cub and performed Ascension on it, turning it into a juvenile Frostsky White Bear.
  • Ye Qiyan collected an Intermediate Lava Stone from the Processing Table and sent Lisette to store it on the train.
  • Ye Qiyan saw WALL-E’s signal and used the Judgment Enforcer’s Arrest ability to bring the robot back from the platform.

Ch. 281Now, you're the challengers!

On the twelfth and final Starcore Level Arena trial, Ye Qiyan discovered that the God of Lava’s First Apostle had sent an army of stone men to attack him. He began the battle with his demons and machines, then waited to see whether the Apostle himself would appear.

  • On the tenth and eleventh days, both of Ye Qiyan’s opponents forfeited their trials, and he spared them.
  • Ye Qiyan arrived at the site of his first train stop for the twelfth trial, where the Guide revealed that the desert had become the trial grounds and stone men were advancing from every direction.
  • The trial message explained that the God of Lava’s First Apostle had used Train Coins to send the stone army as revenge for his slain offspring.
  • Ye Qiyan summoned his demons, Villain, Eve, and Calamity Card: Intelligent Machine Crisis, while the Guide wished him victory and departed.
  • Ye Qiyan shot the first stone man, unleashing his forces as the Red Tears rain weakened the attackers and the Mecha-Dragon launched its Hunt Missiles.
  • Ye Qiyan opened the Book of the Unreal and the Real and waited for the God of Lava’s First Apostle to appear.

Ch. 282The God of Lava's First Apostle, Bozanka

Ye Qiyan used the Book of the Unreal and the Real to banish Bozanka, the God of Lava's First Apostle, to the Bewildering Snow Mountain. When Bozanka returned, Red Tears cut him in half with a single sword strike.

  • Bozanka learned that his stone army was being routed by Ye Qiyan's demons and machines, then advanced to confront him.
  • Ye Qiyan sent the headless Goblin Apostle thought-form to fight Bozanka, who recognized its power and charged toward Ye Qiyan.
  • Ye Qiyan used Snow Mountain Banishment to trap Bozanka for ten minutes, causing the stone army to collapse in terror.
  • Bozanka reappeared in agony, and Ye Qiyan directed his attention to Red Tears hovering above him.
  • Red Tears struck Bozanka with the Tear-Carving Sword and cleaved his body in half.

Ch. 283Tenfold Eternal Cutting! Bozanka's Death!

Ye Qiyan and Eve destroyed Bozanka with an enhanced Eternal Cutter and a Verdict-powered shot, but the dead Apostle revealed that the God of Lava had arrived. The trial remained unfinished as the god confronted Ye Qiyan.

  • Bozanka absorbed nearby stone men and grew into a giant, claiming its god was watching and would possess it if it died.
  • Ye Qiyan activated Overlimit Mode and Transcendence Star on Eve, who used the enhanced Eternal Cutter to slice Bozanka apart.
  • Lisette and Red Tears stopped Bozanka's severed hand from crushing Ye Qiyan, who used Sky-Seizing Wings to reach Bozanka and shoot its exposed core with Gunfire Judgment's new Verdict power.
  • Bozanka collapsed, but the trial did not end, and the Raven Demon confirmed that it was dead by eating part of its body.
  • The corpse laughed and revealed that the God of Lava had arrived to face Ye Qiyan.

Ch. 284The Third One! Banishing the God of Lava!

  • The Train System delivered a Lava Shield Core to Ye Qiyan, who considered fitting it to Mech Soldier Villain.
  • The Arena system congratulated Ye Qiyan for completing the Star Core Level Twelve Trials.

Ch. 285The Highest Score in the Star Core Arena!

Ye Qiyan broke the Starcore Level Arena’s highest record and received rewards from Eris. He considered how to spend his winnings and examined the arena tickets and rare gem as he prepared for what came next.

  • The leaderboard named Ye Qiyan first with a maximum score, while Shaya ranked seventeenth and the other competitors’ names were hidden.
  • Eris sent Ye Qiyan a reward box containing five hundred Train Coins, arena tickets, and Mingming’s Gem.
  • Ye Qiyan calculated his available funds and decided he would prioritize buying a New Anchor, potentially selling unwanted items to make up the difference.
  • He learned that the Moon Core Arena was on a Level 10 platform he could not yet reach and that the Starcore Arena tickets could be traded to eligible travelers.
  • Ye Qiyan read that Mingming’s Gem could help create an animated Netherworld Flower Sea sky for a carriage interior.

  • Ye Qiyan equipped the Lava Shield, sold items on the Black Market Trading Platform, and spent 777 Train Coins to buy a New Anchor with two additional Anchor Points.
  • That night, Lisette caught the Dream Eater as it changed, and Ye Qiyan found a silvery-white mark on it the next morning.
  • Ye Qiyan learned that the Dream Eater was receiving a Bright Moon Blessing and noticed that heavy fog had settled outside.
  • Ye Qiyan messaged Monrojina, who sent him the level-eight Flower of Evil and level-nine Mechanism Command rings.
  • Ye Qiyan used Mechanism Command to assemble a mechanical rifle from Mechanical Parts, then decided he needed a maximum Stamina of 200 to ascend his Talent again.

Ch. 288She finally ended her own stagnation

Ye Qiyan tested the Flower of Evil ring on Eve and received an arena ticket from Shaya. Shaya entered an unknown platform after realizing she had stagnated, while Ye Qiyan encouraged Russell to keep rising at RUN Company.

Ch. 294Steam Modifications, the Villain Rose Again

Ye Qiyan recycled the Steam King's demigod skull into a steam modification core and used it to revive and strengthen the badly damaged Villain. The Steam King, furious at losing the skull, abandoned its ruined cannons and prepared to fight in melee.

  • The Villain pleaded for the demigod skull, and Ye Qiyan placed it on the Processing Table to recycle it.
  • The Steam King attacked Ye Qiyan to reclaim the skull, but Ye Qiyan used the Storm Eye Stone and Astral Sacred Crest to withstand its steam cannons.
  • The Processing Table transformed the skull into a Steam Mechanization Modification Core.
  • Ye Qiyan fitted the core to the Villain, triggering its enhanced Rampage Mode as steam and blood-red light surged through its damaged body.
  • The enraged Steam King discarded its ruined cannons and switched to melee mode for a deathmatch.
