Chapters 751–775 Vol. 8 Read

Ch. 751Hidden quest: The doctor wearing a raven mask?

Ye Qiyan’s legion destroyed the shelter and defeated the Black Death Corpse King, while he recovered a powerful sun furnace core for Nephthys. He then triggered a hidden quest to eliminate the world’s Black Death plague and weighed its reward against using one of his two Vaccine Mouse charges.

  • Ye Qiyan’s Mechanical Legion overwhelmed the shelter’s defenders, and the Raven Demon dismantled the shelter and retrieved its miniature Dyson sphere.
  • Lisette hacked open the sphere, revealing a level 9 Purification Sun Furnace Core, which Ye Qiyan gave to Nephthys to take to the Power Supply Carriage.
  • Ye Qiyan’s forces finished off the Black Death Corpse King and collected the shelter’s remaining resources.
  • Ye Qiyan asked the system about the hidden quest and learned that he could eliminate the world’s Black Death plague for an ungraded Black Death Beast Crown.
  • Ye Qiyan considered using one of his Vaccine Mouse charges to save the world, and Miatila assured him that the quest reward exceeded the cost.

Ch. 752Black Death Beast Crown

Ye Qiyan used the potion to send white rats across the Black Death-stricken world, earning the Black Death Beast Crown and giving it to the Demon Raven. After several days of preparations and recovery, WALL-E returned with the stop's most precious treasure, the Judgment Enforcer.

  • Ye Qiyan released the potion's white rats, which devoured the plague, healed infected people, and restored the ruined world as gentle rain fell.
  • The System rewarded Ye Qiyan with the Black Death Beast Crown, an enhancement item linked to the Death Accord and Mo Shi.
  • Ye Qiyan spent one point of Spirit to sever the crown's connection to outside schemes, then let the Demon Raven swallow it and gain the Black Death ability.
  • Over the next several days, Ye Qiyan dismantled the shelter, stored the Sun Furnace Core, sold salvage, and built his Train Coin total to 7,700.
  • WALL-E returned carrying a zombie skull and the Judgment Enforcer, and Ye Qiyan welcomed the Block Robot home.

Ch. 753Leaving the Forty-Ninth Station

Ye Qiyan upgraded a Level 9 Treasure Chest into a Luck Treasure Chest, then left the plague-ravaged station as Wang Hao arrived. Back aboard the train, he decided to sell a Magic Stone to Monrojina and received an immediate reply.

  • WALL-E found a zombie skull that turned out to be a Level 9 Treasure Chest, and Ye Qiyan used Ascension to turn it into a Luck Treasure Chest with a one-third chance of yielding a Level 10 reward.
  • Ye Qiyan considered using Venus's Glance or trading for Zhao Lin's good luck, but decided to leave the station first.
  • Ye Qiyan's Mechs returned to the Arsenal Hangar, and the train departed while the Milky-White Mice continued saving the world.
  • Wang Hao arrived at the ruins, saw the mice devouring the plague, and watched the train leave with a complicated expression.
  • Ye Qiyan noted that he had 7,700 Train Coins and wanted to become the Train Conductor of a Level 20 Train before the fiftieth station, so he messaged Monrojina to sell her a Magic Stone.
  • Monrojina replied within seconds that she was not busy and teased Ye Qiyan for thinking he did not need her help.

Ch. 754The approaching Level 20

Monrojina bought Ye Qiyan’s Magic Stone for three thousand train coins and used it to create a White Cat Spirit before opening the altar to claim her tenth Ritual Card. With his train coin total now at 10,700, Ye Qiyan prepared to attempt his train’s Level 20 ascension.

  • After fighting for half a year in the Level 12 Platform World, Monrojina answered Ye Qiyan and agreed to buy his Magic Stone.
  • Monrojina explained that the stone’s drawback mattered less to her because her Alternate Form Module gave her three synchronized minds, and she paid Ye Qiyan three thousand train coins.
  • Monrojina fed the Magic Stone to a white cat, transformed it into a White Cat Spirit with a Ritual Card, and opened the altar barrier with her Stone Key.
  • Ye Qiyan counted his 10,700 train coins and decided to begin his train’s Level 20 ascension that day despite the stronger Wasteland Monsters he expected to face.

Ch. 755Train Level: 20!!!

Ye Qiyan began another train Ascension, unleashing his train and its monsters against a vast wave of enemies. After Hunt and Eve quickly killed a gigantic whale-like monster, the Ascension succeeded, raising his Train Level to 20.

  • Ye Qiyan prepared for Ascension while Lisette and Mingming assured him they would protect him.
  • Ye Qiyan gathered his Card Sequences in the locomotive, shattered the crown of Corruption, and began the train’s Ascension.
  • Miatila’s protection protocol restricted interference, but enemies sent a massive wave of monsters against the train.
  • A colossal translucent whale-like monster appeared, and Hunt and Eve eliminated it in under ten seconds.
  • Ye Qiyan completed the Ascension, reaching Train Level 20 as his stamina and mental energy nearly ran out.

Ch. 756The Level 20 Special Upgrade Option Shop! Ten Thousand Seven Hundred! The advantage is mine!

Ye Qiyan opened the special upgrade shop unlocked at train level 20 and examined its first three offers. He learned the prices of two new authorities and discovered Miatila had secretly arranged an exclusive module enhancement, while the final card remained unrevealed.

  • Ye Qiyan's train reached level 20 and unlocked the Special Purchase Shop because he had bought every upgrade option before then.
  • Ye Qiyan turned over the first card and found coordinates for one Calamity Card priced at 1,666 Train Coins.
  • Miatila warned Ye Qiyan that the system could no longer provide Card Sequences once his collection approached seven, but could not explain why.
  • Ye Qiyan revealed the second card, which offered Beacon of Memory authority for 3,333 Train Coins, enabling him to create world beacons and revisit cleared worlds.
  • Ye Qiyan turned over the third card, and Miatila corrected its price to 5,555 Train Coins for the Exclusive Module Enhancement Authority.

Ch. 757All the Options

Ye Qiyan examined the upgrade shop’s costly options and bought enhancements for his Anchor and Judgment Enforcer, spending nearly all his Train Coins. He left with only 1,373 coins and the shop still open for one Wasteland month.

  • Ye Qiyan inspected the Exclusive Module Enhancement Authority and learned that Miatila could reveal only its basic function, then returned the card without buying it.
  • Ye Qiyan viewed the Hero Badge, which enhanced the Judgment Enforcer’s Charge ability, and saw that the shop’s full inventory cost 14,331 Train Coins.
  • Ye Qiyan chose the third and fourth options, prioritizing enhancements for his Anchor and Judgment Enforcer.
  • Ye Qiyan spent 9,332 Train Coins on the two options, leaving 1,373 coins stored temporarily in the shop.
  • The five Train Coins generated by the Dragon Card also flowed into the shop, leaving Ye Qiyan nearly broke.

Ch. 758Tonight Was Worth Drinking to His Heart's Content

After reaching Train Level 20, Ye Qiyan unlocked Level 10 Platform Worlds and prepared to enter the Mooncore Arena, while upgrading his Judgment Enforcer and Fork in Destiny module. In the Shattered World, the God of Fate suffered the loss of Abyss Authority and part of his Divinity after failing to stop a mysterious power in the Wasteland.

  • Ye Qiyan reached Train Level 20, unlocking access to Level 10 Platform Worlds, and decided to enter Underworld King Eris's Mooncore Arena.
  • Ye Qiyan used an enhancement item to add a third mark to the Judgment Enforcer, improving its use and allowing him to Arrest all three marked units at once.
  • Ye Qiyan enhanced Fork in Destiny, gaining the ability to choose his next stop from three platforms before entering each Platform World.
  • Ye Qiyan asked Lisette about a voice only he could partly hear, then set aside his worries over Train Coins and looked forward to barbecue.
  • The God of Fate recalled sensing a powerful being in the Wasteland and using Abyss Authority to obstruct it, but the obstacle failed and the Train System seized the Authority and severed part of his Divinity.
  • The God of Fate could remember only a streak of pure white from the being and raged that he could not identify the power affecting him.

Ch. 759Zhao Lin's message

Zhao Lin survived a dangerous level 8 Platform World with help from Little Calamity, then contacted Ye Qiyan about returning the Game Card Weapon Era. Ye Qiyan told her to keep it, planning to use her luck to open an enhanced Treasure Chest.

  • Zhao Lin used Little Calamity’s luck to reveal and defeat the station’s level 8 supernatural creature in a Russian Roulette wager, but found no Treasure Chest.
  • Zhao Lin suspected her bad luck had come early because she had kept Weapon Era and messaged Ye Qiyan.
  • Ye Qiyan woke after upgrading his Train to level 20 and saw Zhao Lin’s message while preparing for his next station.
  • Zhao Lin sent Ye Qiyan a photo of Weapon Era and offered to return it.
  • Ye Qiyan remembered the card and told Zhao Lin to keep it, intending to use her good luck to open his enhanced Treasure Chest.

Ch. 760The fiftieth stop: Eris's Mooncore Arena!

Ye Qiyan took Lisette and Red Tears to his fiftieth Platform World, Eris's Mooncore Arena, and chose the Engraving Realm as his route. After arriving at the cloud city, he agreed to use the Arena's Netherworld Intelligence System, which asked him to register for the competition and choose whether to promote his previous Guide.

  • Ye Qiyan used his special ticket to set Eris's Mooncore Arena as his fiftieth stop.
  • The Fork in Destiny offered three platforms, and Ye Qiyan chose the Engraving Realm while memorizing the other two options.
  • Ye Qiyan's Train climbed a cloud road toward a city beneath a nearby moon, and Lisette took photographs along the way.
  • The Train reached the Arena's platform, where the system offered departure methods and asked Ye Qiyan to accept service from the Netherworld Intelligence System.
  • Ye Qiyan accepted, and the Flower of the Underworld System asked him to fill out competition information and decide whether to promote his previous Guide.

Ch. 761The Guide Girl, Aimee

Ye Qiyan entered his first level 10 Platform World as a Moon Core Level Trial-taker and reunited with his former Guide, who gained the name Aimee. With Aimee guiding him and WALL-E setting out to hunt for treasure, Ye Qiyan began the new Twelve Trials confident he could win.

  • Ye Qiyan chose Calamity as his title and asked to keep his former Guide for the Trial.
  • The Flower of the Underworld granted the Guide a wisp of her soul, and she remembered her name as Aimee.
  • Aimee arrived at Ye Qiyan’s Train and tearfully thanked him for helping her gain a name.
  • Ye Qiyan sent WALL-E to search for treasure and told it that everyone had to clear their first level 10 Platform World safely.
  • Ye Qiyan entered the Moon Core Level Arena with Lisette and Red Tears, greeted Aimee, and asked her to guide him through a new set of Twelve Trials.

Ch. 762Cloudmoon City's Foremost Arena

Ye Qiyan entered Cloudmoon City with Aimee and learned its rules before heading toward his first Trial. Aimee hinted that twelve consecutive wins might unlock an additional special Trial as they arrived at the First Platform arena.

  • The gate welcomed Ye Qiyan to Mooncore Arena as an honored Profaner and transferred information to Aimee, who became his Guide in Cloudmoon City.
  • Aimee offered to cover Ye Qiyan’s expenses, rented a magic-powered flying car, and took him and his companions toward his first Trial.
  • Ye Qiyan reassured Aimee that he would eventually reach the Level 12 Corona arena to retrieve the rest of the Divine Mechanism Gear and fulfill their deal.
  • Aimee mentioned that twelve consecutive wins might allow a special additional Trial, then brought Ye Qiyan to the First Platform arena.

Ch. 763An altered opponent

Ye Qiyan entered Cloudmoon City’s Mooncore Arena and was greeted as a potential hope by its spectators. When his opponent was changed to Gabriella and her thousands of enslaved Trial-takers, he prepared to fight and promised to win.

  • Aimee explained that Cloudmoon City’s residents were failed Trial-takers who pinned their hopes on contestants and bought tickets to watch them.
  • Ye Qiyan entered the arena, waved to the cheering crowd, and drew an even greater reaction when the screen showed his Starcore Level ranking of first.
  • Lisette took a photo of the arena while Aimee warned Ye Qiyan that his first Trial was beginning.
  • Aimee discovered that Ye Qiyan’s opponent had been changed, but Ye Qiyan stopped her from appealing.
  • Gabriella appeared with thousands of enslaved former Trial-takers, and her profile showed her Crazy Slave Legion and arena records.
  • Ye Qiyan asked about the rewards for finishing first, then summoned a white carriage and declared that he would win.

Ch. 765The second match's opponent confirmed

After Ye Qiyan’s first Trial victory, the Trial-taker Association plotted to obstruct his progress, but Lady Eris assigned its president, Jialebi, as Ye Qiyan’s opponent for his second Trial. Ye Qiyan learned the match was ten days away and saw Jialebi’s boastful challenge.

  • Vice President Garrett warned Jialebi that Ye Qiyan was a dangerous combatant who might rely on troops under his command.
  • Jialebi ordered the association to gather information, hinder Ye Qiyan, and prepare for a possible future match against him.
  • Lady Eris’s Light Screen named Jialebi as the opponent for Ye Qiyan’s second Trial, ten days later, and warned that victory meant freedom while defeat meant death.
  • Jialebi raged at being treated as merely one Trial, then promised to kill Ye Qiyan; Garrett secretly considered reclaiming his own name.
  • Ye Qiyan settled into a free luxury hotel suite with Lisette and Aimee, and Aimee discovered Jialebi’s profile and taunting advance declaration.

Ch. 766Jialebi's "gift"

Ye Qiyan learned that his next opponent, Jialebi, was a powerful Divine Envoy who led the Trial-taker Association, but refused Aimee’s offer to appeal. After the Association’s collectors attacked him, Ye Qiyan arranged to bring his second Trial forward and destroyed one of the Association’s buildings, leaving the city’s residents unable to remember what had happened.

  • Aimee told Ye Qiyan that Jialebi was the Trial-taker Association’s president, worshipped [Demon], and could control monsters and merge their powers into his body.
  • Ye Qiyan told Aimee he would accept and defeat every opponent, and asked her to trust him.
  • Two men from the Trial-taker Association demanded three hundred Train Coins from Ye Qiyan and threatened him when he refused.
  • Lisette killed the collectors with her Skull-Piercing Spikes, and Ye Qiyan protected Aimee from the bombs they had brought, using golden-red sacred markings to shield his room from the explosion.
  • Ye Qiyan asked Aimee to apply to bring his second Trial forward and headed for the Trial-taker Association to confront Jialebi.
  • Red rain fell over Cloudmoon City as a Black Hole erased an Association building; afterward, the people there could not remember the event, and only ruins remained.

Ch. 767If You Don't Die, I Lose

After the Black Hole attack erased everyone’s memory of its attacker, Jialebi learned that his Trial against Ye Qiyan had been scheduled for seven days later. Ye Qiyan survived Jialebi’s attempts to weaken him, and the chapter ended as they faced each other in the Arena.

  • Cloudmoon City residents remembered the Black Hole attack but forgot who had unleashed it, while many secretly welcomed the Association members’ losses.
  • Garrett suggested that Ye Qiyan might be responsible, and the Netherworld System announced Jialebi’s Trial against Ye Qiyan would begin in seven days at the [Second Station Platform] Arena.
  • Ye Qiyan received confirmation of his second Trial and spent the following days at the Hotel, where Eve killed every attacker Jialebi sent.
  • On the seventh day, Trial-takers and spectators gathered at the Arena, where Ye Qiyan’s declaration appeared: [Three minutes. If you don't die, I lose.].

  • Ye Qiyan joined with Red Tears and used the Ring of Calamity to unleash Eternal Night, Moonlit Silence, which devoured the Arena's moonlight and strengthened Moonshadow.
  • Jialebi tried to flee and survive while Ye Qiyan gathered sword force, then revealed that he cooperated and traded with a god rather than worshipping one.
  • Ye Qiyan brought down Moonshadow in one slash, cleaving the Arena and killing Jialebi.
  • Ye Qiyan completed the second Trial and received 400 Train Coins.

Ch. 769A World in Desperate Straits, Coordinates to a Calamity Card

The chapter ended with Ye Qiyan learning that the ring granted the Glory King's Authority and that the old King, like Asmodeus, was a failure.

  • Ye Qiyan chose the path leading to the last stronghold against the wind and snow, where he recognized the light barrier holding the Calamity Card.
  • Ye Qiyan used the Astral Sacred Crest and Nephthys to endure the cold, then approached the hut beside the barrier.
  • The old man revealed that he was the world's King and last survivor, and said that his life would end in forty-eight hours.
  • The old man offered Ye Qiyan a bronze ring and an ice-crystal key, asking him to take them and leave the world.
  • Ye Qiyan appraised the items and learned that the ring granted the Glory King's Authority and the key could open an indestructible barrier.
  • Ye Qiyan realized that the Glory King and Asmodeus shared the quality of being failures.

Ch. 771[Calamity Card · Eternal Frost]

Ye Qiyan stayed with Nafroluo, the former Glory King, as he remembered his past and faced the end of his life and world. Ye Qiyan claimed the Calamity Card Eternal Frost, and Kailai Star began to collapse.

  • Ye Qiyan learned that the wooden hut had once been the Hall of Glory, a palace ruined while resisting The End.
  • Ye Qiyan told the old man his name was Nafroluo, prompting him to remember his identity and grieve over failing to protect his subjects.
  • Ye Qiyan spent two days with Nafroluo as he recounted his glorious world and the subjects whose names he still remembered.
  • With the world's final hour approaching, Nafroluo thanked Ye Qiyan for helping him remember his name and purpose, then accepted that he would die.
  • Ye Qiyan entered the opened barrier and claimed the fourth Calamity Card, Eternal Frost, merging it into the Ring of Calamity.
  • The barrier cracked and Kailai Star began to crumble, leaving Ye Qiyan needing to return before the world ended.

Ch. 772The King Who Died with His World/Return to the Arena Hotel

Ye Qiyan returned from The End with Nafroluo’s ring and the Cruel Ring of Sovereignty, then added both to his Wall of Records. Back at the hotel, he learned that rumors claimed he was injured, but chose to let them spread and invited Aimee to play games.

  • Nafroluo stayed behind as his world collapsed, while Ye Qiyan used the Blasphemy Card to return to his Train.
  • Ye Qiyan placed Nafroluo’s ring and Asmodeus’s Cruel Ring of Sovereignty in display cases on the Wall of Records.
  • Lisette added a photograph of Ye Qiyan to the center of the wall.
  • Ye Qiyan returned to the hotel and learned from Aimee that reporters were spreading rumors that he had used a forbidden power and was badly injured.
  • Ye Qiyan refused to publicly dispel the rumors and gave Aimee a Controller so they could play games.

Ch. 773Consecutive victories/Opponents in the trials

Ye Qiyan won his third through fifth trials without fighting directly, using his cards and Eve to defeat opponents while the crowd speculated that he was vulnerable. His sixth opponent was revealed to be a Demigod who had nearly entered the God Sequence.

  • Ye Qiyan used [Calamity Card: New Green World] to deprive the Giant Rafflesia Flower Demon's summoned plants of support, and Augustine defeated the Level 10 monster in a prolonged one-sided battle.

Ch. 774Custom-Made for My Mech

Ye Qiyan chose Villain and Lancelot to face a demigod in the sixth trial while he continued developing equipment for his mechs. He crafted the level-nine Divine Gear · Resonance, which could combine God Core equipment and give Villain a destructive new Burst Mode.

  • Ye Qiyan decided Villain and Lancelot would fight the demigod, backed by the Endless Legion and his Divinity Bane title.
  • Ye Qiyan reviewed the Arsenal Hangar's Future Construction blueprints and found a blueprint for Divine Artifact · Resonance, made using the Goblin God Core equipment.
