• A Supervisory Court member accused Zhao Xi of failing to protect Solo City’s Order Card, and she used her authority to pardon herself and sentence him to exile.
• An assassin shot the young man before Simak dismissed responsibility, and Zhao Xi left the council while the City Lord quietly said that events were about to begin.
• Back on her train, Zhao Xi dismissed her subordinates and reflected on Solo City’s unrest and her inability to leave her post.
• Ye Qiyan asked Zhao Xi about a Guild Invitation Card, and she explained that it could let a Guild move cities and offered to provide one if he brought his Hunt Mecha-Dragon to Solo City.

Ye Qiyan returned to Solo City, where he learned that a terrorist raid had left the city unsettled and trains stolen. Zhao Xi gave him a Guild Invitation Card and asked him to bomb the Endless Tower, headquarters of the High Tower Council and Solo City Inspectorate.

• Zhao Xi took Ye Qiyan shopping, invited him to collect his pay, and explained that the Court sometimes paid its members in equipment instead of Train Coins.
• Ye Qiyan and Zhao Xi rode the Central Elevator to the fourth level, where Ye Qiyan glimpsed several nonhuman eyes watching him from the darkness between levels.

He confronted Vampire Earl Barlow and used the Book of the Unreal and the Real to draw him into a repeating story.

• The City of Eternal Night's army poured into Solo City, overwhelming the Inspectors and civilians as Ye Qiyan headed for the Central Elevator.
• Ye Qiyan summoned Raven and Red Tears, whose powers cleared a path through the monsters and inhuman Train Conductors.

• Ye Qiyan used the Book of the Unreal and the Real to send Barlow into a story, while Red Tears and the Raven Demon cleared the way to the Central Elevator.

• Ye Qiyan drove Road Hog through the monsters blocking his path while Red Tears fought the Vampire Earl outside the building.
• Monrojina welcomed Ye Qiyan and offered him a safe place to stay, but he chose to go higher to fulfill a promise.

• Ye Qiyan surveyed the third level, saw Train Conductors fighting the City of Eternal Night, and spotted a young man riding a white dragon that resembled Lin You’s avatar.
• Ye Qiyan found Zhuxing Tu surrounded by vampires and used the Pure Purification Stone to turn them to ash.
• Zhuxing Tu asked Ye Qiyan to take her to the Central Elevator, offering a secret in exchange, but Ye Qiyan also demanded coordinates for a Demon Card.
• Zhuxing Tu explained that the routes to the fourth level were sealed except for one elevator and pointed out Ye Qiyan’s connection to the Chief Grand Inquisitor.

Ye Qiyan reached the Fourth Floor by disguising himself as a Judgment Enforcer and driving through the battle around the Central Elevator. He found Zhao Xi under attack by the Solo City Supervisory Court’s Ultimate War Weapon, and she sent him a message to act now as the Hunt Mecha-Dragon appeared.

• Zhuxing Tu teased Ye Qiyan about the Fate Card but did not help him enter the Central Elevator.
• Ye Qiyan used Simulated Outfit to disguise himself as a Judgment Court member, then rode the Road Hog through the battlefield and into the elevator.
• As the elevator rose, Zhuxing Tu said she had come to invite the holder of the Curse Card Sequence to join her organization, though she admitted she did not know why she had come.
• Ye Qiyan and Zhuxing Tu arrived on the Fourth Floor, where Zhao Xi faced a Level 12 Ultimate War Weapon and a force of Vampires and Inspectors.

• Hunt Mecha-Dragon grew larger, revealed a cockpit, and Ye Qiyan climbed inside to command it.

Meanwhile, Ye Qiyan watched her battle and learned that Zhuxing Tu had been cursed after meeting a Curse Card Sequence holder; Zhao Xi then invoked the Transcendence Warhead.

• Simak urged the City of Eternal Night experts to surround Zhao Xi, while his War Machine fought her Hunt Mecha-Dragon.
• Zhao Xi used thousands of Train Coins to transform, then appeared before Simak and killed him.

Zhao Xi defeated the City of Eternal Night’s forces and confronted Solo City’s mayor, Solomon Grace, who revealed that the cities had arranged to sacrifice Train Conductors to weaken the Train System. Grace said the plan was meant to let the gods send them home, leaving Zhao Xi shaken and Ye Qiyan wondering whether other settlements had the same purpose.

• Zhao Xi survived the War Machine’s attack, destroyed the City of Eternal Night’s forces, and found the damaged machine still intact with everyone inside dead.
• Solomon Grace repaired the War Machine and told Zhao Xi she had made a deal with the City Lord of the City of Eternal Night to wear down both cities’ Train Conductors.
• Grace showed images of Train Conductors fighting across Solo City’s first three levels and admitted that the cities were using them to reduce their numbers.
• Zhao Xi recalled how Grace had persuaded her to stay in Solo City and establish the Judgment Court, and she questioned why the mayor had betrayed the conductors.

Grace revealed that she had joined a group seeking to return to their old worlds and tried to recruit Zhao Xi, then attacked when Zhao Xi refused. Zhao Xi transformed and invoked Judgment Resolution as Grace collapsed the fourth level into the third, leaving the fighters below facing the falling level.

• Grace told Ye Qiyan and Zhao Xi about Zhou Shangqing’s failed journey across the Wasteland and said the gods had shown her daughter in her old world.
• Grace offered Zhao Xi a place in her group in exchange for relinquishing her Train Conductor status when needed, but Zhao Xi refused with lightning.

As the Fourth Floor collapsed and Grace unleashed Demon Gods from beneath the city, Ye Qiyan and the others helped defend Solo City while Zhao Xi fought Grace. Zhuxing Tu sensed that fate was drawing them toward the Interlayer, and Ye Qiyan’s Demon Card confirmed that the gray world existed beneath them.

• Ye Qiyan landed the Hunt Mecha-Dragon as the ground shook and octopus tentacles erupted from magic circles beneath the city.
• Grace taunted Zhao Xi and summoned more tentacles, increasing the strain on the Train Conductors holding back the falling Fourth Floor.
• Ye Qiyan pulled rubble from Zhuxing Tu’s wound, and she warned him to dodge just before a tentacle burst from the ground.
• Lin You arrived on his white dragon and summoned five dragons with his Dragon Cards, drawing the tentacles away and easing pressure on Solo City.
• Zhuxing Tu asked Ye Qiyan to take her toward a place near the Second Floor, and Ye Qiyan suspected she meant the Interlayer.

Ye Qiyan and the others fought the monsters sealed inside the city as Monrojina and Lin You arrived to reinforce the Imperial Sequence Organization. Zhuxing Tu offered Ye Qiyan the coordinates of another Demon Card in exchange for a Level 13 burst and a Level 12 item, and he accepted.

• Zhuxing Tu said the demon gods had sealed the city and declared that the Imperial Sequence Organization would not fall.
• Monrojina arrived on her train, helped fight the monsters, and repaired Zhuxing Tu's bottle with Repair Tape.
• Ye Qiyan considered using the Level 9 Repair Tape and helping deal with the Gray-White Interlayer, the source of the monsters.
• Zhuxing Tu offered Ye Qiyan coordinates to another Demon Card in exchange for the Hunt Mecha-Dragon and the Tear-Carving Sword.

Ye Qiyan and Zhuxing Tu entered the hidden gray world between levels, where Ye discovered and destroyed the black stone tablet sustaining the monsters’ resurrection. As the creatures merged into a gigantic monster and the Hunt Mecha-Dragon prepared to fight it, Grace focused on Zhao Xi and suggested her temporary power was fading.

• Ye Qiyan used Witness Truth and Falsehood to locate the hidden gray world, and Zhuxing Tu opened a doorway into it.
• Camelin Galo attacked Zhuxing Tu with curses, but she fought back and distracted him while Ye entered the world.
• Ye Qiyan found that the gray world bred juvenile octopus monsters and identified a raised mound of creatures concealing its core.

• Grace broadcast a false accusation that Zhao Xi had betrayed Solo City, then tried to kill her, but Zhao Xi secretly regained her golden power and pierced Grace's heart with a spear.
• Grace trapped herself in dark ice with her final attack, while the exhausted Zhao Xi fell and was rescued by Ye Qiyan and the Demon Raven.
