Ch. 221The Altar Ahead! A Demon Card Whose Name Was Still Unknown!

Ye Qiyan reached the altar where the middle-aged man was using a Demon Card to control a horde of creatures made from green slime. As the man unleashed the monsters against him, Ye Qiyan summoned a train equipped with a massive drill.

  • Ye Qiyan ignored the shriveled man's warning and continued toward the demon's dwelling underground.
  • The middle-aged man used a dark green gemstone to alter Fengfeng's cognition and make her search for Ye Qiyan.
  • Fengfeng resisted enough to tell the man that Ye Qiyan was underground and approaching the barrier, then secretly watched the underground surveillance footage.
  • With WALL-E leading and Lisette guarding him, Ye Qiyan fought through the creatures emerging from the green liquid and reached the altar.
  • The middle-aged man raised the Demon Card and unleashed countless creatures it had devoured, then threatened to feed Ye Qiyan to it.
  • Ye Qiyan summoned a train with an enormous spinning drill at its front as the monsters surrounded him.

Ch. 222A war of monsters, demons, and machines.

Ye Qiyan fought Boris and his summoned elite monsters with Eve, the Mecha-Dragon, and his own forces. After defeating the monsters and killing Boris, he left the battlefield victorious.

  • Eve opened fire as Ye Qiyan’s train arrived, and the Mecha-Dragon launched all twelve Hunt Missiles against the transformed townspeople.
  • Ye Qiyan ordered Eve into Overlimit Mode, but Boris blocked her initial bombardment with a mechanical shield and summoned an army using his Demon Card.
  • Ye Qiyan released a swarm of Beedrill from the Hive Carriage while Eve attacked the elite monsters with her weapons.
  • The Raven Demon fought a high-tier gargoyle, while Lisette used her weapons and powers to stop the elite Goblins from reaching Ye Qiyan.
  • A mechanical ape was pinned beneath the Imminent Demise Drill, and Ye Qiyan used Airspace Purge and Gunfire Judgment to bring down the Vampire Train Conductor, Boris.

Ch. 223The Strongest Demon?

Ye Qiyan used Hunt’s Transcendence Mode to confront Boris and test his claim of possessing the strongest demon. After destroying the demon, Ye Qiyan recovered the black-and-red Demon Card and concluded that Hunt was stronger.

  • Boris recognized the card floating around Ye Qiyan and attacked him with nine enormous metal blocks, while Hunt protected Ye Qiyan in Guard Mode.
  • Ye Qiyan reached the Altar’s barrier, activated Hunt’s Transcendence Mode, and broke through after the transformed dragon drove Boris back.
  • Boris sacrificed himself to the Demon Card, transformed into slime, and emerged fused with an enormous humanoid demon that he called the Evil of the End.
  • Ye Qiyan fired Hunt’s Ultimate Warhead at the demon, then shot its surviving shell with Ebony until it shattered.
  • Hunt’s Transcendence Mode ended as Ye Qiyan hovered above the crater and recovered the Demon Card, deciding Hunt was stronger.

Ch. 224[Demon Card: Gluttony]

Ye Qiyan confronted the conscious Demon Card: Gluttony, which spread slime that devoured everything around it. He used Cursed Dark Netherfruit to weaken the demon, then fought it alongside Red Tears and claimed the card after destroying its slime form.

  • Ye Qiyan appraised the Gluttony card and learned that its slime devoured everything it touched.
  • Ye Qiyan refused to leave the station and threw Cursed Dark Netherfruit into the slime, driving it into a weakened, frenzied form.
  • Ye Qiyan summoned Red Tears, whose presence made Gluttony react with fear and anger.
  • Ye Qiyan and Red Tears used the Tear-Carving Sword and Battlefield Manifestation to burn away most of Gluttony's body.
  • Gluttony offered Ye Qiyan its card, but Ye Qiyan destroyed the demon rather than trust its submission, then took the Gluttony card.

Ch. 225A New Gluttony Slime

Ye Qiyan examined the newly reborn Gluttony Slime and turned the useless Turret Carriage into a place where it could eat discarded junk and grow. After resting from the battle, he heard the Demon Raven cry out as it searched the wrecked station.

  • Ye Qiyan found that Gluttony had become a tiny, instinct-driven slime that was ravenously hungry and had lost everything it had previously consumed.
  • Ye Qiyan fed Gluttony a Whiteforest Fruit, then brought it to the Turret Carriage and ordered it to eat the cannons.
  • Gluttony transformed into a cannon, then spread across the carriage after Ye Qiyan assigned it there to digest discarded junk and forbade it from eating Lisette, Eve, or WALL-E.
  • Ye Qiyan considered how to complete the platform mission, but chose to rest because he was physically exhausted and the destroyed mall was unrecognizable.
  • Lisette linked her arm through Ye Qiyan's and urged him to rest, but the Demon Raven suddenly cried out while searching for carrion.

Ch. 226Platform lords-this was common knowledge

Fengfeng revealed that Boris had seized control of Fengfeng Mall six years earlier and used Gluttony to trap and devour Train Conductors. After explaining what platform lords were, she admitted she had no memories from before she appeared in the mall.

  • Red Tears found Fengfeng hiding nearby, and Ye Qiyan recognized her as the mall’s supposed owner.
  • Fengfeng told Ye Qiyan that Boris had defeated her, taken the mall’s authority, and forced her to serve him with a cognition-altering item.
  • Fengfeng explained that Boris used Gluttony to trap Train Conductors in the Food Festival and devour them, while locking their trains so they could not escape.
  • Fengfeng described platform lords as natives who controlled small Platform Worlds and said they could become native Train Conductors.
  • Fengfeng said she had no memories from before she opened her eyes in the mall and gained control over it.

Ch. 227The twenty-third stop, an unexpected gain

Ye Qiyan broke Fengfeng’s seal, restored her true body, and received an unexpected level-eight wind item before leaving the platform. Back in the Wasteland, he received Monrojina’s message asking him to provide blood for the potion.

  • Fengfeng offered Ye Qiyan a hundred Train Coins in exchange for breaking the seal on her train.
  • After resting, Ye Qiyan used the Eternal Cutter to split the Zuma Seal Stone and free Fengfeng’s train.
  • Fengfeng revealed her true form, Feng Lidaer, gave Ye Qiyan Wind Element's Gratitude, and sent him a friend request.
  • Ye Qiyan recycled the remains of the destroyed Jingguan and obtained the Fenggu Yuan Diamond before departing.
  • Fengfeng relinquished her authority over Fengfeng Mall, and the platform began to fall apart after Ye Qiyan left.
  • Ye Qiyan returned to the Wasteland and found Monrojina’s message asking him to come to Solo City so she could finish the potion with his blood.

Ch. 228Train Level: Level 9

Ye Qiyan contacted Monrojina and Qin Qiang, learning that Solo City was nearing civil war and that Monrojina had taken over the Judgment Court. He then began the next ascension, fought off a rushing horde of monsters with his companions, and successfully raised his train to level 9.

  • Ye Qiyan replied to Monrojina, who warned him to conserve his spirit and told him not to come to Solo City because of a problem with the potion and unrest there.
  • Ye Qiyan asked Qin Qiang about Solo City and learned that Zhao Xi had disappeared, Monrojina had taken over the Judgment Court, and three factions were close to civil war.
  • Ye Qiyan considered the sealed black box and prepared 300 Train Coins for his train’s next ascension.
  • Ye Qiyan activated Ascension, while Eve, Lisette, Red Tears, and Raven fought off powerful monsters charging toward the train.
  • Ye Qiyan heard faint whispers during the ascension, and the system announced that his train had reached level 9.

Ch. 229The Steep Cost of Ascension, the Less Expensive Upgrade Options

After ascending the train, Ye Qiyan and his companions escaped an overwhelming monster tide, and he discovered the upgrade had drained 300 points of spirit and stamina. He bought the available upgrades and examined their abilities, while still searching for a way to afford future ascensions.

  • Ye Qiyan woke from the upgrade exhausted, saw monsters surrounding the train, and used his armaments and a Train Acceleration Bullet to drive through the tide.
  • After escaping the monsters, Ye Qiyan reviewed the train’s upgrade and worried that reaching level 10 would require more spirit and stamina than he could spare.
  • Ye Qiyan bought all four upgrade options: Mechanical Song, Mechanical Arm, Emotional Smart Chip, and Triangle Core.
  • Ye Qiyan installed and tested the Mechanical Arm, which extended to move cargo, then examined the Emotional Smart Chip and Triangle Core.

Ch. 230A spectacularly successful Ascension

Ye Qiyan ascended three items, improving his mechanical abilities and greatly enhancing his Storage Unit Carriage. Meanwhile, Zhuxing Tu took on a deadly burden of bad luck and planned to obtain an Order Card from the Sky Garden.

  • Zhuxing Tu absorbed more bad luck, confronted Mr. Order with a Fate Card that threatened to transfer it to him, and watched him leave.
  • After resting, Ye Qiyan ascended Mechanical Song into Mechanical Star, giving allied mechanical units shields against lethal attacks and automatic repairs.
  • Ye Qiyan ascended the Emotional Smart Chip into a Mechanical Life Wisdom Mainframe and decided Eve was its best target.
  • Ye Qiyan ascended the Triangle Core into a Powerful Enchanting Triangle Core and used it to enhance the storage ability of his carriage.
  • Ye Qiyan's Storage Unit Carriage rose from level three to level eight and became an Oversized Storage Unit Carriage.

Ch. 231An Oversized Storage Unit, and a Night of Thunderstorms

Ye Qiyan’s train gained an expanded storage carriage, then he woke to a deadly Rain of Thunder that only affected High-Level Train Conductors. He entered his twenty-fourth station by choosing the Goblin Great Lich City platform, leaving the thunderstorm behind.

  • Ye Qiyan’s Oversized Storage Unit Carriage expanded to 308 storage units, including eight special units, and he had Lisette and the others store the train’s loose resources and items.
  • Ye Qiyan woke to a Rain of Thunder, activated the train’s protective shield, and learned from the Train System that ordinary Train Conductors did not experience High-Level weather.
  • After seeing that the thunderstorm threatened his train, Ye Qiyan decided to enter a station and chose Goblin Great Lich City, a Level 8 Quest Platform.
  • Ye Qiyan’s train passed through the void and arrived at its twenty-fourth station, an ordinary forest at night.

Ch. 232The twenty-fourth stop: Goblin Great Lich City / The body in the woods

Ye Qiyan searched the area around the train for clues and found a dying man who warned him that Goblins had defeated his group. After the man asked him to summon adventurers with the Train Coins he left behind, Ye Qiyan buried him and accepted the promise to help.

  • Ye Qiyan sent WALL-E to search for treasure and dispatched his allies to investigate the area around the train.
  • The Giant Eagle led Ye Qiyan to a badly wounded man beneath a tree.
  • Ye Qiyan used his Beast King Inner Armor to restore the man's awareness and used Bewitchment as he questioned him.
  • The man said Goblins had defeated his group and asked Ye Qiyan to use his Train Coins to call adventurers to defeat them.
  • The man died after Ye Qiyan promised to tell the adventurers what had happened, and Ye Qiyan buried him and kept the man's coins and map.

Ch. 233Eve emerged from her cocoon

Ye Qiyan gave the Mechanical Life Intelligence Brain to Eve, who emerged from a six-hour evolution as a true Mechanical Lifeform. He and Lisette traveled toward Goblin Great Lich City, where they found humans working outside the monster-held city and paused to investigate.

  • Ye Qiyan and his companions cleared magical beasts from the forest, then he ordered Beedrill to gather supplies while the train stayed behind as an escape point.
  • Ye Qiyan gave Eve the Mechanical Life Intelligence Brain, and after nearly six hours Eve emerged from a cocoon as an intelligent Mechanical Lifeform.
  • Ye Qiyan set out on the Road Hog with Lisette toward the red-cross destination in the monster-controlled Duchy of Bekermalo, killing monsters along the way.
  • Ye Qiyan followed Demon Raven over a mountain and reached Goblin Great Lich City, where he spotted humans apparently clearing farmland outside its barrier.
  • Ye Qiyan used Simulated Outfit to investigate the humans before taking action.

Ch. 234A traveler passing through

Ye Qiyan arrived at a Goblin-occupied fortress city and learned that its Great Shaman had conquered the human duchy’s stronghold three months earlier, transforming most captives into Goblins. After the Shaman’s forces approached, Ye Qiyan attacked the city and declared his intention to target the Great Shaman.

  • Ye Qiyan killed the Goblin overseers and asked the despairing human workers what had happened.
  • An old man explained that the Goblin Great Shaman had seized the fortress three months earlier, defeated every human counterattack, and turned captives into Goblins.
  • Goblin warriors approached, while the old man warned Ye Qiyan to flee and said the city’s people had all been transformed.
  • Ye Qiyan summoned the Hunt Mecha-Dragon, whose missiles shattered the city’s protective screen and struck the Great Shaman’s city.
  • Lisette used Second Hand to kill the nearby Goblins, and Ye Qiyan told the old man he was targeting the Great Shaman.

Ch. 235The Goblin Arch-Shaman atop the White Bone Tower

Ye Qiyan and his demons and machines cut through the Goblin Legion and confronted the Goblin Arch-Shaman atop the White Bone Tower. After the Arch-Shaman resurrected the fallen Goblins and revealed that the city served a god, Ye Qiyan ordered the Demon Girl to destroy the tower.

  • Hunt fired all twelve missiles, and the surviving Goblins charged the Mecha-Dragon as Ye Qiyan's demons attacked them.
  • Ye Qiyan crossed the battlefield under the Red Tears rain, fighting Goblins with his Astral Sacred Crest, Ebony, Skyhawk, and Moonshadow.
  • Ye Qiyan reached Grand Lich City and identified the Goblin Arch-Shaman atop the White Bone Tower as his target.
  • The Goblin Arch-Shaman recognized Ye Qiyan as an adventurer from another world and declared him an enemy of its god.
  • The Goblin Arch-Shaman resurrected the slain Goblins, but Ye Qiyan continued forward and ordered the Demon Girl to cut down the tower.

Ch. 236[Goblin Great Shaman (Divine Body)]

Ye Qiyan crushed the Goblin Great Shaman’s bone tower with a gravity strike, but the shaman resurrected through power granted by the Goblin God. After discovering that divinity could be absorbed by Hunt, Ye Qiyan activated Transcendence Mode as Raven, Red Tears, and Lisette moved to face the shaman’s three giant Goblins.

  • Red Tears guided Ye Qiyan in drawing the Tear-Carving Sword, whose gravity collapsed the bone tower and crushed the Goblin Great Shaman.
  • Ye Qiyan found that the shaman had survived and watched it resurrect by absorbing Goblins as blood mist.
  • Ye Qiyan identified the shaman’s divine protection and equipped titles that increased his damage against beings possessing divinity.
  • The Goblin Great Shaman fused nearby Goblins into three giant creatures while Ye Qiyan activated Big Spending Discount to absorb divinity into Hunt.
  • Ye Qiyan called on Hunt and activated Transcendence Mode as Raven, Red Tears, and Lisette confronted the three giant Goblins.

Ch. 237The fleeing Apostle of a god!

Ye Qiyan destroyed the Goblin Great Shaman with Hunt’s Transcendence Warhead, completing the first-stage mission in Goblin Great Lich City. The Goblin God’s Apostle fled when Ye Qiyan prepared to banish it, but he recovered part of its abandoned form and earned the Goblin Slayer title.

  • Ye Qiyan synchronized with Hunt’s Mecha-Dragon and fired its Transcendence Warhead at the Goblin Great Shaman, annihilating it.
  • Ye Qiyan spotted a divine-looking phantom in the crater, and the Goblin God’s Apostle fled before he could use Banishment.
  • The system announced the second-stage Goblin Rampage mission and warned that Goblin-type monsters would keep attacking until death.
  • Ye Qiyan had the Raven Demon retrieve the Apostle’s abandoned remnant and inspected it with Moonshadow.
  • The system awarded Ye Qiyan the permanent Goblin Slayer title for killing half an Apostle of a god.

Ch. 238Monster Rampage! Back to the Train

Ye Qiyan learned that killing part of the Apostle’s thought-form counted for rewards, then headed back to his train while monsters rampaged across the platform. He found the train besieged by monsters and charged up the mountain to help defend it.

  • The system explained that Ye Qiyan had earned rewards for destroying part of the Apostle’s thought-form, and he planned to feed its body to Gluttony after the Raven Demon took a bite.
  • Ye Qiyan discovered that the departure coordinates were at the White Bone Tower but chose to stay and finish the rampage mission.
  • Lisette revealed a Riding Module, drove Road Hog, and carried a tired Ye Qiyan back toward the train.
  • Ye Qiyan saw through the Illusory Watcher’s Light Screen that rampaging monsters were attacking the train, where the Beedrills, the Azure Thunder Eagle, and Eve were fighting them.
  • Ye Qiyan summoned the Hunt Mecha-Dragon, used its Hunt Missiles to clear a path, and rode Road Hog up the mountain toward the besieged train.

Ch. 239An Exquisite Level 8 Treasure Chest~

Ye Qiyan returned to the train, fed the Goblin Apostle’s body to the little slime, and later received a Level 8 Treasure Chest from WALL-E. After ascending and opening it, he obtained an oath necklace, a potion-making blueprint, and Dynamic Fluorite, leaving him eager to test the blueprint with Whiteforest Fruit.

  • Ye Qiyan praised Eve for protecting the train and gave the Goblin Apostle’s body to the little slime to digest.
  • Ye Qiyan sent Red Tears, Raven, the Mecha-Dragon, and Eve to clear monsters from their route.
  • WALL-E returned with a bird’s nest that Ye Qiyan identified as a Level 8 Treasure Chest and rewarded with praise and electricity.
  • Ye Qiyan used Ascension on the chest, turning it into an Exquisite Level 8 Treasure Chest, then opened it.
  • Ye Qiyan received 32 Train Coins, a Luo River Oath Necklace, a potion-making blueprint, and Dynamic Fluorite.
  • Ye Qiyan considered using the blueprint with Whiteforest Fruit to make a potion that restored mental energy.

Ch. 240Ye Qiyan's White Mental Potion

Ye Qiyan turned a Blessed Whiteforest Fruit into a Blueprint for Ye Qiyan's White Mental Potion, which restored mental energy, resisted mental attacks, and slowly healed injuries. He received enough rare ingredients for one bottle and decided to try crafting it.

  • Ye Qiyan stored the fluorite after deciding a 300-Train-Coin dynamic train skin module was too expensive.
  • Ye Qiyan had the Raven Demon capture Goblins, then killed one with Ebony and plundered stamina and mental energy.
  • Ye Qiyan ascended his potion crafting Blueprint into an Ultimate Potent Potion Crafting Blueprint and used it on a Blessed Whiteforest Fruit.
  • The system created Ye Qiyan's White Mental Potion Blueprint and delivered star sand gold, Fengyue flower sap, and purified water for one bottle.
  • Ye Qiyan learned the ingredients were worth 55 Train Coins and decided to craft a bottle despite the possibility of failure.
