Hearing Wei Qing's words, Fu Yunting slowly straightened, his expression beginning to crack.
"What did you say? You saved me?"
Wei Qing roared, "No kidding! Were you too blind to read the few words on my school badge? And here I was, letting bygones be bygones and making a special trip to the pharmacy to buy you medicine."
Fu Yunting said, "Are you an idiot?"
Wei Qing stared at him in disbelief. "Fu Yunting, you really are an ungrateful bastard! I saved you, and you're actually insulting me!"
Fu Yunting looked thunderous, and his voice sounded as though it came through gritted teeth.
Now, not only was Qin Yan squatting nearby listening with relish, but Meimei, Jixiang, and Jinbao had also run over to sit in a row with her.
Meimei even produced a melon and had Jixiang swiftly slice it up. They each took a slice and began munching.
Several pairs of bright eyes stared straight at the two men.
Fu Yunting took a deep breath. "When I woke up, I didn't see any school badge. Instead, there was a woman watching over me."
Wei Qing looked utterly bewildered. Huh? What did that mean?
"I thought she was the one who saved me. When I asked her, she admitted it."
"After that, I went to the hospital. That woman was a university student too, but her family was in a bit of a difficult situation, so I helped fund her education as repayment for saving my life."
Wei Qing stood stunned for quite a while before he caught on.
"Holy shit, don't tell me she was the woman who nearly became your fiancée?"
