The Price Behind the Mangekyo

He had just returned to the clan.

Uchiha Setsuna and the other elders arrived, with Fugaku accompanying them.

Orochimaru was still the Third Hokage's disciple, after all!

And so he, too, had awakened his Mangekyo: Amaterasu in his left eye, Tsukuyomi in his right.

One was a flame that never went out; the other was an ability that used existing information to simulate a stretch of the future.

"Alas, the Mangekyo is the power of our Uchiha god, yet it is also known as the cursed eye..."

Uchiha Setsuna sighed.

The elders' feelings were complicated. They looked with heartache at their clan head, Feng Yao, whose ocular technique was the Space-Time Ninjutsu of this alternate dimension.

Deep down, their clan head probably wanted to lead the Uchiha to find a new way forward and a new home.

That was why his ocular technique was Space-Time Ninjutsu, and the relocation plan was probably what he wished for in his heart as well.
