Just as the three arrived, more than a dozen auras suddenly appeared from the direction of the valley. Three white-haired old women, followed by more than a dozen young women, blocked their path.
One of the old women stepped forward, her gray robe stirring despite the lack of wind. She held an ebony cane, demonic energy surging around her, her gaze sharp. Her eyes were like knives as she looked the three up and down. Her voice was hoarse and grating. "This is forbidden ground. Outsiders may not trespass. Who are you three? How dare you trespass on the forbidden grounds of the rear mountain?"
