Ultimate Dao Brick

After mastering the White Emperor Golden Slash, Jiang Xian glanced at the Xuanhuang Mother Qi a short distance ahead and activated the Yellow Emperor Earth Sovereign Way to continue cultivating.

Three days later, Jiang Xian slowly opened his eyes. A gleam of sword light flashed through them, as though it could cleave through everything in the world. Then a heavy, mountainlike halo of earthen-yellow light appeared around him. He seemed to merge with the earth, his every breath stirring a resonance in its veins.

Above the Bronze Immortal Palace, vast yellow clouds filled the sky. Thunder rumbled constantly within them, signaling the birth of the corresponding Xu Earth Divine Thunder.

The White Emperor Golden Slash was perfected.

The Yellow Emperor Earth Sovereign Way was perfected as well.

Jiang Xian stood up, stretched his muscles and joints, and let out a long breath of stale air, feeling clear and comfortable all over. He turned to glance at Ye Fan nearby. Ye Fan was still cultivating the Yellow Emperor Earth Sovereign Way, clearly at a critical point in his breakthrough, just one final step away from perfection.

"He'll probably need a while longer." Jiang Xian rubbed his chin, his gaze sweeping around the hall.

With nothing else to do, he suddenly had a good idea.

His gaze swept over the entire Bronze Immortal Palace. Its material had endured countless ages without decaying, and it was an immortal artifact besides. That made the palace itself a top-grade artifact-refining material.

Jiang Xian walked up to a bronze wall of the Bronze Immortal Palace, spread his fingers, and activated the White Emperor Golden Slash, extracting a brick-sized piece of bronze essence.

He tapped the bronze chunk in his hand, then glanced at the Xuanhuang Mother Qi overhead. A smile tugged at his lips.

"Let's make something fun."

Jiang Xian sat cross-legged and first used the White Emperor Golden Slash to repeatedly polish and shape the bronze chunk, producing a perfectly formed brick blank. Then he used the Yellow Emperor Earth Sovereign Way to draw down a strand of Xuanhuang Mother Qi and slowly fuse it with the brick blank he had just refined.

Xuanhuang Mother Qi was the mother of all earth and the foundation of all things. The material of the Bronze Immortal Palace was imperishable as well. Under the combined effects of the White Emperor Golden Slash and the Yellow Emperor Earth Sovereign Way, the two grew increasingly solid, their colors intertwining in shades of dark green and dusky yellow. Finally, they settled into an ancient, weighty dark gold, with runes flowing across the surface.

After finishing the refinement, Jiang Xian turned it over and examined it for a while, then hefted it. It felt excellent in his hand, leaving him thoroughly satisfied.

"Hehe, my personal divine weapon is done. If I get the chance, I'll refine this into an Ultimate Dao Brick. Whenever I run into an enemy, I'll reward him with a magnificent set of lumps on his head," Jiang Xian said with a laugh.

He had just put the brick into the Chat Group Space when Ye Fan opened his eyes nearby and let out a long breath of stale air.

Ye Fan looked at Jiang Xian beside him, unable to suppress the delight in his eyes. "Brother Jiang, I've perfected both of my Great Five Elements Art techniques."

Jiang Xian grinned. "Hehe, I perfected mine ages ago. Since you were still cultivating, I made a little something while I waited."

Ye Fan paused. "Brother Jiang, what little something?"

Jiang Xian took the brick back out of the Chat Group Space and hefted it twice. "I used the White Emperor Golden Slash to take some material from the walls of the Bronze Immortal Palace, then mixed in Xuanhuang Mother Qi to refine this brick. Everyone here has a Life-Bound Weapon, and going around barehanded didn't feel very impressive, so I made this. If I run into anyone who doesn't know better, one smack with this brick will grant him a magnificent set of lumps on his head."

Ye Fan stared at the dark-gold brick for two seconds. The corners of his mouth twitched, then he laughed so hard his shoulders shook. "Hahaha, Brother Jiang, you really know how to have fun! Won't those prodigies have their Dao hearts shattered when you smack them with that brick?"

"Why would their Dao hearts shatter? From now on, only prodigies will qualify for a magnificent set of lumps from me. It'll be their honor." Jiang Xian put away the brick and clapped his hands. "All right, we've both perfected our techniques. We can send the brothers in the group a share of the remaining Xuanhuang Mother Qi to help them cultivate the Great Five Elements Art."

Ye Fan nodded. "Exactly what I was thinking."

Ye Fan immediately got to work, putting the Xuanhuang Qi before him into the Chat Group Space.

Ye Fan opened the Chat Group interface, stuffed the Xuanhuang Qi into a red packet, and sent it out.

Jiang Xian turned to Ye Fan beside him. "All right, we've taken pretty much all the resources here. Use the White Emperor Golden Slash to get some bronze material, then let's get out of here."

Ye Fan nodded and glanced around. Just as Jiang Xian had done earlier, he used the White Emperor Golden Slash to extract a chunk of bronze from the wall, intending to use it for artifact refinement later.

"Brother Jiang, what are your plans after this?" Ye Fan asked.

"I'm heading back. I've been here for a while." Jiang Xian rolled his neck, then looked at Ye Fan again. "What about you?"

Ye Fan rubbed his chin. "I'm planning to go to the Taixuan Sect."

"The Taixuan Sect?" Jiang Xian raised an eyebrow, then realized. "Oh, for the inheritance of the Nine Secret Techniques on Clumsy Peak, right? You can pick that up and add to the group's files."

"Yeah. One of the Nine Secret Techniques is practically being given away, so I might as well pick it up," Ye Fan said.

"Then go pick it up. Our Great Five Elements Art can pretty much carry us from beginning to end, but learning a few other moves to play around with once in a while is fun too. We can take the spaceship. I'll drop you off near the Taixuan Sect." Jiang Xian patted Ye Fan's shoulder.

"Sure. Thanks, Brother Jiang."

The two shot straight out through the opening above, passed through the water's surface, and arrived on the shore of a lake.

Jiang Xian took the Machine Race spaceship out of the Chat Group.
