"Takahashi brother, my boy, you've been slacking off far too much!"
"Exactly! I have to work late into the night every day just running the ANBU!"
"Right! Running the Uchiha Academy has been tiring me the hell out too!"
Takahashi Yū looked innocently at the three men who had ambushed his farm early that morning.
Seeing unexpected guests arrive, Mizuki bustled about, serving tea and water, then heading outside to pick some fruit and vegetables.
Takahashi Yū raised a hand to stop their denunciations and hurriedly said:
"What's this? What's this? Are you a bunch of disgruntled housewives?"
Danzo, Sakumo, and Uchiha Fugaku exchanged looks, confirming the dark circles and exhaustion on each other's faces.
Then they looked at Takahashi Yū's glowing complexion.
"No! Seeing you living so comfortably makes us feel cheated!" the three said in unison.
"How about I give you an elder position, and you help me manage a few things?" Danzo asked Takahashi Yū in a negotiating tone.
"No! I can barely manage the ANBU anymore! Kakashi hasn't seen his father in three days! Takahashi brother, come be the ANBU deputy commander."
Sakumo and Danzo began arguing over who would get Takahashi Yū. They worked themselves to death while Takahashi Yū enjoyed the pastoral life on the sidelines. They simply couldn't stand it!
Danzo and Sakumo were already red in the neck, neither willing to give way.
"Sakumo! I'm the Hokage! What deputy commander? Is that worthy of Takahashi brother's status?"
"Danzo brother! Either give me Takahashi brother, or I'm checking out!"
Danzo used his Hokage status to pull rank on Sakumo, but Sakumo wasn't intimidated either, threatening to put the ANBU under the Military Police Force's jurisdiction.
"I don't care! The ANBU commander used to manage the ANBU all by himself. Why can't you, Sakumo?!"
