Takahashi Yū followed the squad ahead through the Land of Fire, with his old buddy Danzo among them.
After he told his old buddy Danzo where the Rinnegan was, Lord Danzo, the current Fourth Hokage, had actually decided to lead the team himself.
Taking the Root members who had no missions assigned, along with Takahashi Yū, he had set off for the Land of Rain that very night...
Takahashi Yū caught up to Danzo in a few strides and said helplessly:
"Danzo, old buddy, why don't you head back? The village can't do without you!"
Danzo did not even turn his head. His eyes stayed fixed on the direction of the Land of Rain, a trace of excitement in his voice.
"Nonsense! I delegated the management of the village ages ago. As long as no war breaks out, the village can run perfectly well."
"What about Madara at the graveyard? With nobody leading the village, I'm afraid Sakumo and Fugaku will get the worst of it!" Takahashi Yū said glumly.
"Come on, Takahashi brother. You said Madara was so old he was barely holding together. I refuse to believe Sakumo and a whole group of Konoha's elites couldn't protect themselves against him!"
"Besides, how long could it take to kidna... ahem! Pick up a child? By the time we get to the Mountain Graveyard, Sakumo and the others might still be scouting the terrain."
The esteemed Lord Danzo seemed like a different person now,
going from the genuine dread he had felt upon first hearing about Madara to being blinded by greed now.
Add to that the expressionless Root members behind him, brimming with murderous intent.
Their destination was even the Land of Rain!
Their target was even the Rinnegan!
